This sick bar is pretty sweet. It’s located across the lobby of the Hard Rock Casino and it’s a beautiful circular bar. I joined a group of Unilocalers here after the holiday party since the party had to go on. You get to see the lobby and casino from the bar and enjoy some delicious drinks and food. Since I wasn’t hungry, I stuck with a couple cocktails. My choice of the evening was the Moscow Mule. It was mixed with vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice that was served in a copper mug. The bartenders deserves kudos for all the drinks that came pouring out to us. Expect the prices to be a little bit more than usual since you’re paying for the atmosphere. I gotta ask this though — There’s a center and a L bar. Where’s the R bar? ;)

Savanna M a.k.a. carpool buddy, a small group of Unilocalers and I came here for the Unilocal Holiday after party. It’s a very nice looking bar located in the lobby. We started looking at their drink menus and all looked pretty cool. I tried to stay in the vodka theme so Savanna M ordered me a martini and she ordered a sangria. I like the way the bartender Jerry made my martini dirty. Sometimes the olive juice would overpower the drink if it was used a lot. But mine was just right for my taste. Other people in our group had various drinks between cocktails and beers, all seemed happy with their drinks. Price point-wise, $ 12-$ 15 per cocktail seems a bit steep, but you get to enjoy the atmosphere in the casino. I have not been to Hard Rock for a while, but this place seemed not too far off from Vegas. We were there around 9:30pm or so and the bar was not very busy, but somehow I get the feeling it’ll be pretty busy late into the night. Overall, the drinks were fair, service was okay(they’ve got to stop making their bartenders pulling double shifts). You are sitting in the middle of where all the actions are while having an adult beverage… what else could be better?

I loved it! Stopped here for a nightcap after dinner at Martorano’s. The lighting, the furniture, the actual bar itself are all beautiful! The bartenders are friendly and the cocktail menu is inventive. It’s definitely worth a stop to sit and have a drink here!

After arriving at the Hard Rock we noticed the L Bar and decided to sit and have a drink. We usually go to the Center Bar but decided to check out this bar and here’s our review: – The wine selection was fair and so was the price – But then we ordered two flutes of Veuve Clicquot. At $ 25.00 a glass we were stupified. Okay, we know we’re at a casino where spending money is the game, but come on.

I have visited this bar a few times and I like it very much. It is beautiful and the service is pretty good. I only wish they had some tapas or appetizers available. Just a thought, they can offer some appetizers from Kuro, Bol, or the Hard Rock Café.

Attentive, friendly service, and a interesting mix of options in the cocktail menu make this a fun stop. The décor is elegant, but not pretentious. The bar chairs are very comfortable, and the lounge areas are cozy. A highly recommended stop!

Hello L Bar, my new favorite bar in the casino! If you’ve ever been to Hard Rock you’ve definitely started or ended your night(or hell even spent your whole night) at the Center Bar. Well, there’s a new kid in town — L Bar(for Lobby Bar) located near the hotel check in desk. Steve D. describes it well as Center Bar’s grown up sibling, with craft cocktails and a much more classy vibe.(And I definitely saw Kim Jong attempting to light Steve D. on fire HAHAH) Ok, so truth is, they stopped serving at 1 or 2am, and we still ended the night at Center Bar(it’s unavoidable lol) and although I enjoyed my time at Center Bar, being at L Bar and being able to sit and converse while ordering high end cocktails was great! I started off, and stuck with, the watermelon sangria all night. At $ 11 a pop it’s definitely not cheap(nothing is at Hard Rock though), but watching the craftsmanship in each drink with watermelon chunks being mashed into liquid each time, topped off with a spring of mint in another watermelon chunk for looks — well I was sold. Another popular one is their take on a mojito — also called the sno-cone by my friends lol. Once someone at the bar ordered it and the other patrons saw it, well then everyone ordered it. Kudos to the staff for truly enjoying the jobs and making this bar a special place. Everyone knows how difficult getting a drink at Center Bar can be!

This new bar recently opened up inside the Hard Rock casino, and, as befits the massive pile of money behind it, is extremely well done. They’ve done a great job training the staff and the décor is really nice. It’s a little pricey, so you won’t see much of the penny slots crowd up here. It’s also well away from most of the action, unlike the Center Bar, so it’s a lot more of a chill atmosphere. Let’s start with the staff. The crew working on Saturday were extremely helpful and attentive, and also damn good at mixing drinks. I had a few couple of Old Fashioneds and a Whiskey Sour, and each of these was excellent. Our bartender, Bryan, added a little twist to each one. A red wine float on the sour, which balanced it out nicely, and a black cherry for the Old Fashioneds. He also put up with our occasional antics extremely well, and was a great sport. The staff displayed good knowledge of their craft and took the time to make the drinks correctly. My only complaint is that the liquor selection is quite limited. No Oban? They need some more single malts. The place is a little pricey, so each craft drink will set you back between 10 and 15 bucks, but if you go to the hard rock and expect not to spend money, well, I can’t help you. Even the pizza is 4 bucks a slice there. Overall, Lobby Bar’s prices are about equivalent to other upscale bars in SoFla. If you’re on a budget, keep track of your bill! Ambiance is very nice. It sort of has that hotel bar feel, but it has a wide sweeping view of the casino floor which makes it more fun than the typical hotel bar. The patrons are more of the upscale type. I saw a lot of nice suits and dresses. I am also pretty sure I saw Kim Jong Il, and that he tried to light me on fire with some sort of crazy cigar lighter. If you’re at the Hard Rock and you’re in the mood for a well made cocktail, definitely give Lobby Bar a try!
