Came in for just a sub with my boyfriend and I and had a lady named I believe carri jo make it. The personality and service was astounding. She was very sweet, alert and offered great suggestions. I appreciated her and sub was great and extremely fresh.

Don’t really frequent this Publix as much. Only at convenience. The supermarket is small and apparently they don’t carry certain brands that you would find at a larger Publix supermarket. NOTE: You need to have eyes not only in the front of your head, but the back and the sides as well when leaving the parking lot. People and cars are passing in any direction. Just one of the headaches you have to deal with when driving around Young Circle.

I agree with Emma B this is a terrible Publix if they can’t do it right than why be in business. Because of this location I made a vow never to shop Publix again. They are rude to their customers and their employees. Their produce is not fresh as I said if you can’t do it right close up and go away.

Omg the homeless line the entire walkway begging or cussing you out for not donating. It really is like a zombie apocalypse just to get to Publix depending if homless are there you just never know. Publix is ok once your inside. its a shame its close to my home and i love Publix but sometimes i cant deal with the bums.

Ha! I didn’t even know you could write a review about a Publix! Ok imagine a less nice much more crowded Whole Foods and basically that’s it. It’s a grocery store lol nothing too big to brag about. I will say that most people I know have two Publixes lol. A «good» one and a «bad» that will do in a pinch. The latter is this Publix. The store is great as are the people but because of the heavily populated homeless people that live there and the bus travelers it makes for hard driving and access. This is the oldest Publix supposedly so they can’t touch it? Just remodel here and there. The«good» Publix is on Sheridan and US1 :)

Went there twice tonight. The place is small but everything was same as other publix. There were no homeless or panhandlers outside, No drug addicts like the other review claimed. I thought I was walking into mayhem from the review I read before going to see for myself. Saw for myself it’s a really nice place. Very clean. Everyone so helpful and nice. The deli was perfect to. Appreciate it very much.

What the heck is going on here? Never thought I could ever give Publix such a low rating. This is not«where shopping is a pleasure». Random people slugging through the parking lot. Then you cross the valley of drugged out people loitering the entrance. You walk into a very packed and cramped store.(As I hear it … This place use to be bus station?) Very few people within the aisles to aid in your search. But there are a few uniformed cops tucked away! Bakery is almost non existence. When I finally flagged someone for help that’s exactly what they said. «You probably walked right pass it and didn’t notice.» Organization seems to be in transition. Most areas had a common flow. The deeper you get into the store the more you find odd items randomly just tucked away. It’s like they ran out of space?! Most worst part of this trip was the check out lane. Cashier was pleasant when handling my items. At least til some manager asked her a simple question concerning schedule and cashier seem to take her anger out on me. Her response to the manager was rude and she started throwing my items in bag! I placed items based on temp on the belt but she thought hot chicken wings, bananas, and cold mashed sweet potatoes belonged in same bag. Her manager addressed her rudeness — and stated that other employees at the store display disrespect towards her position. The two women seemed like they were going to get into a very heated debate and I didn’t feel like being a witness. Thankfully isn’t my local store. Someone needs to do something.

Terrible organization, horrible customer service, at the deli you’re being ignored, they take only forever to serve you and they will waste your time!!! Dirty, nasty, STAYAWAY!!!

Ground zero for the zombie apocalypse. Store is flanked by homeless panhandlers, and the general toothless. There is nothing redeeming about it. The entire plaza should be flattened. Represents everything wrong about downtown Hollywood.

When visiting the area, this was an okay Publix location, but it’s small and could really use a makeover. Parking is hard to find and the lot itself is so small. This Publix didn’t always have what I needed or was looking for. Customer service is great as always, on the other hand.

The smallest, dirtiest Publix I have ever been to, with the strangest people working there. I can’t even believe this is a Publix. I can give you countless reasons why I don’t go there, but lets just start with The homeless outside bothering you for money the dirty floors the deli that has a strange smell to it and always seems to attract the weirdest customers standing in line. the pockets of areas that have light bulbs burned out and are not changed the fact that I showed the manager that the whole row of yogurt was bad and he said«Oh. I better get someone» and then he walked away. Corporate really needs to get in here and take this property seriously!

The 3 reviews prior to mine sum it up perfectly. I give them 2 stars only because I reserve my 1 stars for only the very deserving dumps. And yes, while this IS most certainy a dump, it’s still Publix, with good customer service, and all the products we need. That being said, corporate really needs to get in here and take this property seriously! An EXTREME makeover is very much in order. Possibly even rebuild it completely? This is the closest Publix to some very high end real estate, and there is no excuse for the horrible condition of this store. I do anything to avoid this location. Corporate, this store does not at all fit the corporate image that you have established in Fl; it is a blemish to your company’s good name.

As a loyal fan of Publix, I hate to write such a bad review, but there’s no getting around how bad this location is. I live in young circle and purposely drive miles down the road to another Publix in order to avoid this one. In addition to it being an older store with cramped aisles and limited selections, the people that frequent the store are so unpleasant to be around, i.e. Visibly drunk/high/smelly people that make a woman like me shopping alone very uncomfortable. I also witnessed a hit and run accident in the parking lot and have almost been hit twice by rude drivers. Shoppers beware!

If there was ever a grocery store that needed a «Rescue» this is it!(i.e. Bar Rescue) the homeless and druggies that are outside run rampant and make me nervous every time I come here. Not to mention it has to be the smallest Publix I’ve ever seen. The selection inside is not the best either. Don’t plan on doing a huge shopping trip here!

My friends and I refer to this place as the«crackhead publix» since that pretty much describes the outside décor. I usually only come here to get cash & a drink on food truck night but sometimes I stop by on my way home from work. It’s probably the smallest Publix I’ve ever seen but it does the trick for basic needs. Don’t come here looking for fancy spices or specialty breads as I can guarantee you will not find them here. So even though the selection is slim and the place is swarming with weirdos, it can be an entertaining walk through sometimes– just avoid it at night and wear sunglasses to avoid eye contact with all the people asking you for money outside.

I don’t care what anyone says, this is the best Publix in the history of, uhm, well, Publix! The workers here are so frickin’ weird that it makes for a memorable laugh every time. Some of them have been employed for over 10 years! Everything is shelved properly, the managers are always on point for thieves and druggies, and cashiers — oh, baby — the cashiers are for a good laugh! There’s this one guy(cashier) who rings your food and dances at the same time. Dude, this guy’s H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S. This Halloween, I almost peed my pants off when I seen him dressed as a Falcon fan. He had these vintage pair of jeans and a jersey with the hat, too. Okay, so yes, this Publix is a Twilight Zone, but so what? People are weird, regardless, the ghetto hoodrats and pretentious elitist in Publix’s midtown Miami are no different. 5STARS! Best Publix location, ever!

The workers at this Publix are just rude. This isn’t my usual Publix, but since I was in the area, I decided to stop by and pick up a few items. I couldn’t find the shelved soy milk, so I asked the staff who was putting up soy milk for a certain brand and she said this isn’t her department. Next I go to the deli to pick up some lunch meat and when I 1st walked by they were in #18. Went I went back they were on #18 with different customers, so I waited my turn numberless. The deli woman asked who is next and I said me. Someone else said they were and had ticket #29. I kindly mentioned they were on #18 and hadn’t changed it so I saw no need to get a ticket. The deli worker told me next time I need to take a number. No hun, you need to change the numbers, but may I have some jerk turkey please? lol I took my 3 items, checked out and don’t plan on returning.
