Nakorn Sushi

MUST READ: The most amazing delivery food story of my life.
On Monday on my way home from work I ordered delivery for my family. An hour and a half later it hadn’t arrived.
I called and said I am not paying for cold food and canceled the order.
I ordered Chinese. Went and picked it up and returned home. Then I get a knock at the door…
Two hours after my now canceled order, the food shows up. I said I’m not paying, and they took the food and left.
I got a call from the manager. He apologized for the mistake and that I had to get food elsewhere. He asked if I wanted the order sent the next day for free. As unrealistic as this was, I agreed.
The next day, 5 minutes before the agreed upon time, the manager is at my gate (who I see as I arrive home). He hand delivered the meal, exactly to order, and apologized and hoped we would continue to eat with them.
HOLY CRAP. I’ve never had such personal service, from a manager I’ve never met or had connections to. It was heart warming. The food was awesome. And I’ll be a lifetime patron of that location because of the managers dedication to selfless service.
SUPER HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant and location. Great food. Chill atmosphere and ridiculously awesome service.

The food is good but the people are not friendly. I usually order to go at least once a week and they are never friendly. They don’t say thank you. I’m the one that usually does and sometimes they respond. Why can’t the appreciate their good customers.

I came here with very high expectations after reading all of the previous reviews, and unfortunately I was very let down after my meal at Nakorn. We first ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer which was forgotten about. The sushi came out pretty quickly so we decided to tell them to forget about the appetizer. The sushi was just alright, honestly nothing special. The rolls were very tiny and they didn’t even bother putting the sauces or tempura flakes on the rolls, they were just on the side. Being in Florida I expected the sushi to be phenomenal, but honestly our sushi out in Phoenix is so much tastier. The staff was nice and very attentive with filling our waters, but I was very disappointed with the quality of the sushi. Maybe this restaurant is better for getting Thai food than sushi.

I visit Nakorn Sushi pretty often for lunch or dinner, or when I need a good Asian food fix. The food is consistently delicious and the menu has a wide array of options to choose from. Since I have a seafood allergy, I can’t attest to the seafood sushi, but I do love their chicken tempura roll! It has avocado and asparagus, my two favorites. In also love their seaweed salad and fried banana dessert (!!). My husband gets a different seafood sushi roll each time and is crazy about the spicy crab salad.
The restaurant is located on Hollywood’s Harrison Street which is a block south of Hollywood Blvd, and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are always attentive and I have yet to experience anything awful in terms of my meal being prepared and cooked properly.
I highly receommend!

Loved everything about this place. We started of with the miso and coconut soup, after that we had gyoza and shumai, and for the entrée a pad Thai and hot jb roll. We loved everything and the service was great. To top it off they have pictures for almost every item on the menu. Too bad we live in Colorado otherwise this would be our new go to place

I have nothing bad to say about this sushi establishment. Everything is always great, and they are extremely friendly. I love love love their jasmine tea, it’s one of the best I’ve had. My boyfriend & I like to sit at the bar to watch them make the sushi, super interesting. It is very clean, tidy, quiet, & feels so home like to me. I love my JB Tempura Roll!

Best thai food in Hollywood. Great spicy pad thai.
They deliver too. I recommend this place over Red Thai on the strip any day of the week.

How did I not know this place existed earlier? Hidden spot on Harrison Street that you have to try! While I really enjoy sushi, when I’m at a Thai place I have to try their curry. It was an excellent decision if I do say so myself! I got the lunch special of chicken panang curry. It comes with white rice and the curry base in a bowl and option of a soup. The spices and flavor are amazing! I wish I had more rice to continue eating that sauce! It comes with chicken and peppers in the sauce. Service was quick and courteous. Plus the special was about $ 9 for the whole combo!

Great California Rolls, tempura, and wonton soup. My favorite is the clear noodle dish with chicken. The lunch specials are awesome and the service is always great.

I’m highly impressed!!! One of the best sushi I’ve ever tried. Fresh, delicious and full of flavor. I’m seaweed lover, and my side order of it was just PERFECT! I’ve got sweet service on the phone, while I came to pick up the food it was ready in less than 15 min, hostess was extremely nice and welcoming. Place look very clean with intimate atmosphere. Will definitely come back to dine in and explore more from the huge menu they have.

Came here for an early dinner and all the food was delicious. Service was excellent. Had the Nakorn roll very good, excellent salad with good lettuce. Also had some hot saki also good and my party was satisfied with their rolls, Mexican roll, odyssey roll, tuna volcano roll, avocado and rainbow roll.

I eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. I usually order take out but have eaten at the restaurant a few times. The food is delicious and always tastes fresh. The employees are very quick to assist you, so you never wait long, and they are all always smiling! Overall it has been a great experience every time!

Was excited to try this place after moving around the corner and the boy having a good solo lunch with the red curry. Tuna roll and stuffed shrimp were decent though it fantastic. His red curry was definitely tasty!
Sadly my chicken pad Thai was completely bland and the chicken was dry. Ended up spooning some of the red curry sauce over it just to give it some flavor as there was none. Disappointing.

I returned here a few weeks ago for dinner with a friend. We were seated right away when we arrived and were given menus. We ordered a bottle of Milestone Chardonnay to share, I had the chicken satay (I’ve been dreaming of the peanut sauce since I first visited this place more than 6 years ago now) and a Mexican roll. My dining companion wasn’t quite as hungry, so he got an order of tuna tataki.
Service was really great and attentive all evening long, our food was delivered in good time and was very good, though the peanut sauce that I remember being so incredibly good during my last visit seemingly fell a bit short this time.
I appreciate this restaurant’s location, as it’s only a few blocks from Hollywood Blvd. so it’s quick and easy to get to from the I-​95 or US-​1, but the actual street that this restaurant and a few nearby bars and a hotel are located on is pretty sleepy. That makes it nice and relaxing to sit out front under the stars with few passersby.
Pricing was fair; it was $ 22 for the bottle of wine, $ 9 for the satay chicken, $ 10 for the sushi roll and $ 13 for the tuna dish. Not bad considering the location of this restaurant, the quality of the food and attentiveness of the service.

I love the food but I have to write a bad review because these people falsely advertise a 10% discount if you mention online. There online ordering has been down for months. So I order and I mention I tried to order online and she informed me I didn’t tell her in time though I told her right after I finished ordering and she said oh maybe next time. Well there won’t be a next time. Bad customer service. BS they probably tell everyone that because they don’t want to give this discount. I’m a loyal customer that has been ordering for. Couple years now. Very disappointed.

This is our go to/​favorite sushi in the Hollywood/​Ft. Lauderdale area! The sushi rice is sticky and cooked to perfection. The appetizers are great as well. The service is a ⁴⁄₅ and take out has always arrived on time! I highly recommend Nakorn!

This place had excellent service, we were seated immediately (it was pretty empty) and our food came out extremely quick. The servers were very nice.
The food on the other hand left a little to be desired. It was good, but nothing spectacular. I had the dragon roll, chicken satay and the green salad. Again, nothing special, just overpriced regular food.

I came here on a Friday evening with some friends. It was pretty empty which made us a little nervous, but both the food and service were delightful! I had the chicken massaman and it was the best I have ever had. Everyone else had sushi and was pleased. We will be back for sure! And I just found out that they deliver :)

I love this place!
It’s a little on the pricey side (dinner menu) for where it is, but I have yet to be disappointed.
I was first introduced to Nakorn back in 2007 because my office was located directly across the street, so we ate lunch there often (lunch prices are better). Lately I had been craving Thai and this place popped in my mind. I’ve been ordering delivery being that I no longer work in the area, and I usually get the red curry chicken and am super satisfied each time. The flavor is plentiful, the spice is just right, and the food is always piping hot. The spring rolls and sushi are really good too.
Matter fact, I don’t recall ever having an unsatisfactory experience at Nakorn.
