Love the station. I do miss the Dj’s though. In the high desert there was a religious station on 105.5 that would go off the air nightly at 12AM. For some strange reason, KNAC came in crystal clear at some 100 miles away when the religious station was not broadcasting.

Man I sure miss the days of KNAC in Long Beach. The great jocks and all the 80’s rock you could handle.
The online version is decent but not the same. That is not to say that you can’t bang your head to this station now and then, cause you gotta rock!

KNAC will go down in history as almost like a godfather of heavy metal. This station still rocks online but the sweet life was getting in my VW bus after a gig and rockin all the way home. Only one thing i like more than punching people in the face and thats heavy metal!

I used to listen to KNAC PURE ROCK when I lived in LA, ’89-’91. Driving on the endless freeways in my tiny red CRX and listening to the music of the heavy metal bands. Is it wrong to be at my advanced age *creak* and still love this music? If it’s wrong, I don’t wanna be right, baby. If it’s too loud, you’re too old. Rock ON!
