The employees who are responsible for measuring and cutting fabric are so slow, it is maddening. Also, they don’t seem to have a very friendly attitude. When I went there last time, 1 of the employees was complaining out loud that she wanted to take a break, but she couldn’t because the line was so long. Gosh, lady — sorry for being a customer! The other employee got mad because a very nice person who needed a ton of fabric measured and cut let me go ahead of her(I only needed a yard of 1 type of fabric). Also, there are not enough associates out on the sales floor to assist shoppers. I wanted to buy upholstery fabric — there is a sign posted indicating that an associate is supposed to help get those fabric bolts for you. I walked around that store about 3 times looking for help, but none was to be found. So I just grabbed the bolt myself to get it measured. It just feels like time stands still in this store. I will give credit to the nice cashier(who was much younger than the other employees), she was very nice. There is a good selection of fabric, but if you go there, make sure you have plenty of time to wait for any assistance and take your blood pressure medication so you don’t stress out waiting for slow, unhelpful employees.

This is your average Jo Ann store. Sometimes there’s helpful staff and other times they are indifferent. The Hollywood location is definitely one of the smaller stores, but I’m usually able to find the basics here. If you are looking for an expansive fabric collection, you may want to try the Pines or Coral Springs stores.

I was there yesterday, the cashier took more than 9 minutes with ONECUSTOMER… why? this older, nasty woman was using ONLINECOUPONS!!! So when she realized she had them, opened her large iphone and started surfing the net to find them… one by one. Yes, the woman had the right to use them, BUTWHO on EARTH, would allow ONLINECOUPONS to be used at the store!!! THISSIMPLYTAKESTOOLONG… I am never going back to this store to waste my time. In case you don’t know these coupons show up online, so you have to SURFTHEWEB, FINDTHEM, be at the mercy of connection speed, etc, etc, etc,…Technology is meant to speed things up NOTDELAYTHEM.

Thank you Yolanda for helping me, they need to give you a big raise! you were the only one in the store who could help me! went way out of your way for great customer service Dumont the manager you need to step it up in that store really give her a raise.

Another phenomenal place to get your craft on! I like this place a little bit more than Michael’s because of the fact they have fabrics galore! I don’t really have any complaints about this place, I always find everything that I need, sometimes I find cheap prices and sometimes I don’t, but the key in this place is to open your eyes, and go whenever you have a lot of time to kill, otherwise, you will get easily overwhelmed with all the choices and things they have.

I’ve been going to this place for over 10 yrs. It’s close to my house. Most of employees are nice but where are them? Today Saturday just 2 employees on the floor. People complaining and leaving without buying anything because did not want wait any longer like me. I left. Their machines at the counter or on the cutting table always have a problem that makes people stay longer at the line. No manager on the floor. The materials i get are the same since been going there for over 10 yrs. I dont see much new stuff and the clearance 50% table price is ridiculous expensive. I used to buy a lot from this table(quantity for my business) now it is not worth. I decided to drive few more miles and use the Joan store at Federal hwy pompano beach. Got enough today from Hollywood store. Can’t take anymore. Lost costumer.

Went in looking for fabric for a costume and came out with nearly everything for the ensemble. Service in most departments was very good. Got some good advice and ideas.

This store is utterly disorganized! The staff can be rude and no help at times. They are always under staffed and the lines to get fabric cut or to check out are just residuals.

Have been here a few times and generally always find what I need. This last time I went in looking for items I could not find at Michael’s. For what I was looking for I found Jo-Ann to have a larger selection and a better layout. It is way less cluttered and the atmosphere is much more relaxed. Plus you can’t beat the huge selection of fabric. I have never equated Jo-Ann with crafts but now that I’ve seen what they have I am much more likely to go here than Michael’s. Be sure to check their website, you can find coupons. I got one for 40% off one regular priced item.

Ehh. i had to go to this JoAnns twice in the last two weeks and both times had a very blah experience. The workers didnt know where simple items where and the cashier spent more time texting than she did helping the long line of people. Ill take the road trip to the one in Pines from here on out.

I love Jo-Ann’s in Hollywood! I’ve been coming here forever and it hasn’t changed much over the years. The store always has the best sale’s, especially on holiday décor. The aisle’s are clean and have a large selection of pretty much everyhing you need to sew, craft, paint, knit etc. They also have a cute $ 1 section that always has useful odds and ends. I love how the store is set up too… it screams old school Hollywood. I’m tired of places«re-vamping» their stores with the same tan paint and mexican tile roofs. Im so thankful for this little piece of nostalgia!
