Mss. Jennylyn is not only a great singer but also a perfect voice teacher. She cares for your voice and supports her students very hard. I have been with her for 1 year and I can hear the difference in my voice by her training. She always encourages, and challenges me by picking a song for me, help to strengthen my voice and be confident in singing. I highly recomment you her studio if you really want your dream of singing become true.

Jennylyn has the most beautiful operatic voice and an elegant presence about her. She sang at my wedding and not only was her voice powerful and melodic but she was also full of grace and refinement… which was a great addition to my wedding. It was a hectic day and, of course, not everything I had planned went as planned… but as soon as the the string quartet started and she began singing, everything just felt perfect. It was definitely one of the highlights of the night.

cannot get any better than jennylyn chung!!! she sang on my wedding June 2014 and I have no regrets of hiring to sing at our wedding. not only is she an amazingly talented singer, but she’s super professional and very high class. there’s really a major touch of elegance that she contributed to our special day that no amount of flowers, decoration or party favors could ever bring. not to mention that she saved the day after the last minute disaster of finding out that our pastor did not know how to sing the song he picked during our ceremony.

I was blessed to hire Jennylyn as the singer for our wedding. Our ceremony was in a large, old church in Fullerton. They offered their organist and singer, but since music is so important to me and my husband, we opted to bring in a string quartet and Jennylyn as the singer. It was truly beautiful. Her voice filled the entire church and her songs were impeccable. Guests told me they got goosebumps. I highly recommend booking her for weddings and events! She’s seriously a show stopper.

Jennylyn is not only a wonderful singer but a stunning performer. When she sings, all eyes are on her. Her performance is unique and full of passion.

I have seen Jennylyn perform several times for almost 20 years! I’ve seen her grow from a pop singer with amazing God-​given natural singing ability to a classically trained opera singer. One thing that has not changed about Jennylyn is her captivating ability to emote feeling into every word and every note. When Jennylyn sings you don’t just enjoy what you see and hear; you FEEL it! I still get chills when I think about Jennylyn singing «Hero» by Mariah Carey. Simply breathtaking!!!

First time around, I was confused. Wait, we start from bottom of range and build up to a higher range? I was used to being told by my previous teacher that I needed to start from middle of range and vocalize to the top to build on the lower range. What I did not realize is that her purpose is to get all of her students to sing relaxed with a neutral larynx position at a quiet volume and build up to a large sound once the vocal chords can relax from bottom to top without stretching the chords. The key is a gentle and natural zipping of the chords that occurs naturally when we speak correctly, however with a background of vocal strain some gentle vocalizing is required to build strength in the vocal chords so that you have one, unified voice and not two or three distinct voices.
The whole process might seem unusual and unlike other teacher’s you have studied from, but I assure you, she has spoken the most sense to me than any teacher I have ever had and I have had several at the university and throughout the seemingly professional community of south and north orange county. I am appalled that there are not more quality and caring and gifted teachers like Jennylyn. She is not only great at breaking down things in an easy-​to-​understand way, but she is a kind and giving person who will truly support hard-​working and driven individuals. She will encourage you and challenge you and she will help you reach your goals, be that becoming a better singer for fun or a professional career.

I know nearly nothing about music and less about voice and vocal technique, so bear with me here as I do my best to express our experience with Miss Jennylyn. Miss Jennylyn Chung has been instructing my daughter for over a year now. Previously, my daughter had attended community college instruction and had voice instruction provided at her elementary and secondary schools; all taught by ‘accomplished professionals’. Oh, what little I knew! What a world of difference between those teachers and what this year with Miss Jennylyn has brought us! Miss Jennylyn is accomplished in her own right, but as a teacher– she has some of the the rarest of qualities. She seeks out the heart of my daughter, pulls hidden treasures from within, and identifies unique qualities. While strengthening my daughter’s weakness in technique, Miss Jennylyn encourages her spirit and develops a beautiful, endearing confidence. As a parent of a voice student, I have learned much from Miss Jennylyn. She has taught me about music and voice, training and future school selection. Miss Jennylyn does this and so much more, all with gentleness, grace, professionalism, and precision. Beyond the phenomenal approach and technique, she pours into my daughter much more than singing or music. I could not have been more impressed than when I attended the first recital with all of Miss Jennylyn’s students. With a range of ages, styles, qualities, and sounds, the vocal technique was consistent throughout, thoroughly enjoyable, and made me confident about our having chosen Miss Jennylyn, with a taste of what the future will hold for my daughter. These days, I love nothing more than to just sit and listen to my daughter sing. I hope to send all of the rest of my children to Jennylyn.

Hello, I have only had three training sessions with Miss Jennylyn so far and I have to say that I am pleased with her commitment to my training and my improvement. We have recorded each lesson and with daily dedication to the homework she has given me during each lesson, I feel I have improved.

I have been with Jennylyn for 3 years and my voice has been transformed within these 3 years! First, I love the classical bel canto technique that is taught, no voice teacher has ever shown me this technique. I find myself singing jazz, pop, musical theatre and opera! I love how the studio isn’t specific to one genre of music and the vocal technique taught can be used for any type of genre. Jennylyn loves each and every one of her students, she believes in them and is very supportive which is rare to find in a vocal coach. She cares for your voice, training you in a way that can last a lifetime instead of what sounds good at the moment and then your vocals are sabotaged. I cannot wait to see what the future holds and how my voice will continue to grow, I got my confidence back in my voice and, most importantly in myself, to me that is priceless. As I clicked on the option to rate this business with five stars, a corresponding message comes up on my screen, saying «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» I thought to myself, «how apt.» I firmly believe that in terms of vocal teachers in a Orange County, Jennylyn Chung is as good as voice teachers get. Her traditional Bel Canto style of singing is especially what makes her studio so fantastic for every style of singer.
I started taking lessons from Jennylyn because I had talked to one of her students, who recommended that I try a lesson with her. The voice teacher I had before Jennylyn had me straining and belting, which hurt in the process and eventually did negative things to my voice. For so long, I was under the impression that singing was work and that this wear-​and-​tear I was experiencing would eventually iron itself out, which is what my teacher seemed to think. She didn’t seem to take my concerns seriously and brushed them under a rug.
Right off the bat, Jennylyn started helping me rebuild my technique. Unfortunately, I had to start from square one again because everything I knew was strained. Since then, Jennylyn has helped me take almost all of the tension out of my voice and replaced it with comfortability, ease, and confidence. I cannot say that I’ve quite arrived in the time that I’ve been taking lessons from her, but I know that with every day that passes, I’m getting closer and closer to my goal.
I’d recommend Jennylyn to anyone and everyone who is serious about learning to sing well. Don’t waste your money with teachers that teach at a university and claim to be an amazing teacher by backing their argument up with their degrees. Jennylyn does have a Masters in vocal performance (if I remember correctly) from Cal Baptist University, but her experience in the real world, having been with countless misguided teachers, is was really makes her the most competent voice teacher in Orange County.
Jenny’s extensive experience with many types of teachers and teaching styles gives her a clear picture of what vocal students often go through. She knows a damaged voice when she sees one and she can help fix and repair it. Even for those without damaged voices, Jennylyn knows how to lay the foundations down so that you can reach your full potential, no matter where you’ve come from in the time that you’ve been singing.
The bottom line is that if you want to take voice lessons with a teacher who really knows what technique to teach and how to teach it, come to Jennylyn. I can’t imagine that you’d be disappointed.

I’ve only been taking lessons for a few weeks and already I hear a difference in my singing. Jennylyn is very skilled at targeting exactly what you need to work on in terms of technique and bringing out the best quality in your voice. I also like the fact that she doesn’t just teach just one genre of music. She also exposes you to everything from classical to jazz to pop. Her style of teaching makes it so your voice is versatile whether you’re singing an opera piece or a Whitney Houston song.
