I needed a place to store my wine since my collection has grown larger than my eurocave. I really liked the location of Ideal55 and after George
(the owner) answered all of my questions we set up a tour of the facility.
The wine cellar is actually in the basement of an office building in Hollywood. I liked that it is ²⁴⁄₇ access, not that ill likely need a bottle of 1998 Krug at 3.30am on a Sunday, but you never know. Security is top notch with card key access used to open the gate to the parking lot, the building, and the door to the basement wine vault. Each locker or room also has its own keys that can’t be duplicated. I also liked that for a few bucks extra you can have your wine allocation shipped to their refrigerated storage facility and they will put it in your locker… no more missing the UPS guy.
The only downside to having a larger place to store my wine is now I have no excuse not to acquire more.
