I started seeing his father as a patientwhen I was 12 and his father was great. I was still going to the office up until last year. I stopped going because the girls in his front office didn’t know what they were doing. I paid my co payment of $ 55 then I get a call a month later saying that my insurance covered a certain amount and I had to pay the difference. Ok so I went back in and paid the amount in full. Then 3 months later they claim that I owe them more money and somehow it was the same amount I had paid the 2^nd time. I called my insurance company and they told me I didn’t owe anything and they saw both payments. For months I get harassing phone calls. I told them to get their account straight or I won’t go back and get my laser surgery there. Then around November I get a letter dated August from Dr Hopen saying that because I had an unpaid balance that he is going to stop seeing me and I should find another doctor. This is what he wrote to a patient that had been going to his office for over 28 years over less than $ 50 after I had said I wasn’t going back until his incompetent staff got their accounting correct. Jessica I hope this never happens to you. His father would have handled it differently.
