Seafood Salad is unreal. The amount of seafood is what most people imagine but never what they actually get. This seafood salad exceeds expectations! Amazing! They warned me this might not last on the menu since market price for seafood is high. $ 20 for this salad is kinda pricy for a lunch however there’s so much food, this should be split between 2 or 3 people. It’s chock full of delicious calamari, shrimp, and scungili. Please don’t kill this from the menu!

I signed up a while back to receive text messages with deals and such. Saturday(day before Super Bowl) I receive a text stating«call for our Super Bowl specials». I call and the girl that answered was rude and said they had no specials. I said«ummm, I’m only calling because I received a text saying you did!!!». If this place wants to have repeat customers, they should start by hiring friendly people with some type of social skills. I’d rather go to Dominoes… At lest they are nice!

Great casual Italian-American restaurant. The food was lovely and the service was awesome. We ordered the homemade tortellini and the rollitini eggplant. Both arrived smoking hot at our table. Their prices are very reasonable. We will be back for sure. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because, although charming, the décor is a bit dated and the outside area could use some pressure cleaning. Nonetheless, I highly recommend it. Enjoy!

Its been about 20 years since we last ate at Disalvo’s which was in Plantation at that time and we moved to Daytona Beach. We visited the last and only family owned one left in Emerald Hills and it rocked ! The garlic rolls, chicken parmigiana and lasagna all tasted the same, it was so good ! I wish there was one in Daytona Beach since there are no italian restaurants like this one !

Great Italian place that’s open late. We ordered the Eggplant Parmesan with fettuccine alfredo and a Meat lovers type of pizza. The food was good and the portions were huge, for the price it was great and we had leftovers for the next day. Also the garlic bread is delicious, they don’t skimp on the garlic. It’s one of the best garlic bread I’ve had in a while. This was my first time there and when in that area again I will definitely be back.

So my friends and I come here for a weekly pizza night and the food is great. Most of all the pizza is amazing best and in my books one of the best in the south Florida area. Garlic rolls are placed on each table doesn’t matter your order.

The food here was not good… the mozzarella sticks were over fried even though they took it off my check. The lasagna had really strong tomato taste and not the good kind. The salad was decent. The garlic rolls were just ok, I wouldn’t come here again.

I’m from the north east where pizza is God and this place is as close to home as it gets. We have ordered pizza, their antipasto and their sandwiches. I haven’t had anything I don’t like. It’s our go to place now that we have moved to the Hollywood area.

DiSalvo’s is everything a red-sauce joint should be. They get all the basics right and they succeed because they know what they are and they stick to it because it works. It’s funny how one pizza from a real place like DiSalvo’s will somehow feed a family while it takes two corporate pizzas to do the same thing.(By corporate pizza, I mean Papa Dom, who lives in a Hut.) There’s something amazing about real pizza that a conveyor belt oven can’t replicate. We’ve been visiting DiSalvo’s since we moved to Hollywood over 12 years ago and the food has been consistently good. I have jumped around the menu and tried almost everything. There isn’t much creativity there but who needs it when things are done right? You don’t go to DiSalvo’s for the latest in experimental cuisine, you go there for the pizza, the stomboli, the rolls, the pasta fagioli, and my personal favorite, The Tour of Italy, which is a huge dish that includes baked ziti, meatball, sausage, chicken parm, and the inability to move without assistance. The whole family loves it and I can confidently say you will, too.

Pretty good, not great. Garlic rolls were the best part. We also ordered pizza and it was just average. The people are very friendly and courteous. The restaurant could use a good update. We won’t be going again:(

Have any of these reviewers been made aware of the multiple health code violations this restaurant has received recently? Just think of the violations that happen during the time the Health Department isn’t checking in. This is a place to go for take out only. The décor and ambiance is awful and is overdue for a renovation by about 15 years. There is a major lack of good restaurants in Hollywood, unfortunately, and that is the only reason this place is still in business.

Indeed, this place rocks! I have decided to update my review simply to give justice to my five stars. Disalvo’s has been around for many years. Truth be told, we used to live a few blocks down from the restaurant about 20 years ago. According to my parents, this place has always been as delicious as it is today. Since I am a huge fan of this restaurant, I must say that I have tried almost everything on the menu. However, my favorites include: 1. Garlic Rolls: cooked to perfection, moist, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The garlic sauce gives it an extra kick. 2. Penne ala Vodka: creamy, delicious sauce. It’s so good I don’t know how to describe it. Give it a try. 3. Chicken Parmigiana: breaded, with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. It’s usually a whole chicken breast and it comes with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce as well. Delicious! Concerning the service, I’ve never experienced bad service. The waitresses I’ve encountered have always been very attentive and welcoming. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

My husband and I had an early flight out at Ft Lauderdale airport so stayed at the Cambria Suites. We had driven from Sanibel area and it was dinner time when we arrived. After checking in, we decided to check the area out. DiSalvos was down the street and pizza sounded good so we gave it a try. The minute we walked in it was reminiscent of the old pizza parlors from the 1970s; the décor and the delicious smell of good pizza baking. We were promptly greeted, seated and order taken. We had the Caprese pizza and it was outstanding. The flavors and crust were perfect. The tomatoes were chopped and not sliced and I almost felt like they were marinated as they tasted almost like tomatoes they used for their bruschetta. At any rate, it made for one great pizza. Since we don’t live in Florida it is doubtful we will return. However, I could very easily see this being my regular pizza joint if I ever decide to move to the sunshine state.

Horrible Experience !!! I few weeks ago I followed a recommendation and setup a business lunch meeting in Disalvo’s, when I arrived the place was fairly busy as expected. The waitresses were cordial and sat me promptly. While there I overheard the employees talking about how the owner treats them, but it was not my business so I continued to wait for my partner to arrived. While I waited and after been served a drink, I heard yelling from the kitchen, which has a large opening to the center of the restaurant, when I glanced over, I was shocked to see a cook yelling profanity and threats to another cook, very animated and real. I thought the police was going to get called out. The manager John(I think was his name), got involved to defuse the issue but the damaged was done. Like me customers were looking around with a dumbfound look in their faces. I was so shaken that I asked for the bill, called my partner and asked him NOT to meet me there. I ended up meeting my business partner in an IHOP. Later that night I called the person that recommended the restaurant and told him the whole story. He was apologetic. Even thought I can’t comment on the food because I did not have a chance to taste it, I would never come back to this place again.

Second time in a week, first time I would’ve rated this place a 4 however this time around a 3.5 maybe different cook? The first time ordered The Stefano, very good and tasty. Highly recommended. Second time around ordered a cheese and pepperoni, it was OK. The girlfriends dad mentioned how it lacked pepperoni’s. The garlic rolls are good as well but the wings were a disappointment, very bland, too chewy and overloaded with some mediocre BBQ sauce. Service was subpar as well, I might come back for the chicken Parm but idk not at the top of the list for now.

Ok so tonight I was pleasantly surprised by all of our dishes not to mention our friend Sean was our server– win win! The chicken sorrentino was a huge portion(enough for 3) and really hit the spot. Chicken layered w/thin breaded eggplant, topped w/mozzarella, sauteed mushrooms & spinach in a light marsala glaze over spaghetti. My husbands ravioli was good but the star was the soup of the day it came w/: Tomato basil cream– not too acidic just right & savory. So pleased tonight was a hit & not a miss.

I’m bias… I worked at Disalvos throughout high school and my first year of college so it has a special place in my heart! The memories are priceless… I’ve had enough food from Disalvos to last a lifetime but when I’m back in the old neighborhood, I stop in to say hello to some of the old employees and grab a bite. My favorites are the chicken parm, eggplant parm, and baked ziti. Being Italian, this is the closest I can get to my grandparents southern Italian cooking without visiting my grandparents. The portions ate good and the prices are reasonable. Also the pizza is delicious when made by Francis. He’s of Haitian decent but I swear he’s Italian at heart! When ordering, be sure to see if he’s working and special request him to make your pizza! Tell him«Nikki» sent you :-) WARNING: Eating any Disalvos meal with red sauce will most definitely alleviate constipation.
