This is the WORST club I have ever been to. The music sucked, the crowd sucked and it was just not worth it; not to mention that by midnight there were fights every 15 minutes. The crowd was seriously the worst crowd I’ve ever been around and I go out a lot, some guys were even in hoodies and hats… not what I like to see when I go out to L.A. Overall, I will never set foot in this ghetto ass place again.

This review is for Do-Over. Carafe of sangria = $ 30 5 shots of Jameson = $ 80 Lost camera = $ 200 Good times at Do-Over = priceless Yes the drinks are overpriced in my opinion, but I had a fun time. I lost my camera this past Sunday which sucks, so next time I return, I will keep in mind to not bring anything I can easily lose. Do-Over = 2, Cindy = 0

I have been to the Cabana Club 3 times and each time, have had fun. The last two times I went to the Cabana Club was for Do-Over. This review is for the venue only, not the events that are put on at Cabana Club. Who ever designed this place does not wear heels. That, or they like to watch people fall in heels. The majority of the club is outside and after entering there are some indoor spots to the left. It is very pretty with different walkways and a little bridge leading to a bar and some tables. The floor on the outside is made with uneven large flat stones. This makes walking somewhat difficult going through a large crowd, but come on, us LA girls are pros give us a challenge. Here comes the bridge. The brige has a couple of stairs on both sides of it one must manuever over the stairs onto the bridge while being pushed from all sides. It has a slight curve to it so after being unsettled by the stairs, I have to deal with the curve of the bridge on uneven stone in 4 inch heels while drunk people shove and squeeze spilling their drinks. Inside some girl right behing me spilled her whole drink. Then some guy fell from the floor being slippery, then someone else fell from the floor being slippery. My friend and I left, not because we didnt want to see how many would eat it on the same spot but more because we were scared we would be next.

Came here for the«Do Over» event. The event itself is FUN! 4 solid stars! The venue is nice. It’s a cabana. with no pool. It’s outdoors so you’re surrounded by cigarette smoke. The lines getting in for guys are horrible. Some people did not make it in, since it reached capacity. The drinks were good. And the bartenders are fast so there was never a long wait. In addition to that, there were several areas/stations to buy your drinks! We shared four carafes of sangria between the three of us. The carafes were $ 10 each.

UGhHhh! So I went here for«Do Over» this past Sunday(08⁄28). Let’s just say it’s very LA. As a San Diego Native, LA isn’t so me. When my friends and I arrived, it was our first time, meeting up with others that have been before. So we got there around 3 — and our other friends weren’t coming until 5 and 7. It was a long wait! To past the time, we started drinking $ 30 Sangria pitchers. Because the weather was extremely hot, Sangria was the only thing to keep my going. If you wanted water, they only serve it in the main outside bar! I went to a stand and the inside bar and no water is available. Because it’s hot, do not wear a maxi dress like I did, my legs were burning up! Another annoying thing was the fact that they were playing House music forever! I can handle House music for a certain amount of time, but the DJ has got to mix it up with hip hop! Also, does this place not have capacity? It was chill, then it got ridiculously crowded with hipsters. With the crowd, and everyone smoking up, there’s not a lot of breathing room. Not to mention that someone actually spilled beer on my dress! I guess because this isn’t my scene, I’m not crazy into it. I didn’t have a bad time, I just have a lot to complain about. We ended up staying almost to the end, like 10 minutes before closing. The music did improve. It’s hard being at a club, and actually knowing what everybody looks like because its day time. haha. I guess that’s why they call it nightlife. One cool thing is that they have a place for photos — not a booth but like a backdrop and photographer as if you were at a HS dance. I guess it’s cool to go once every summer, but it seems that everyone there is a regular.

Things I learned at Do Over: 1. People are sloppy. Learn how to control yourself when under the influence or GTFO. Everyone’s there to have a good time, don’t be falling off platforms and on people.(3 people nearly fell on me, 1 was on accident because she lost her balance on the bridge and ended up kicking me in the leg, the other two were pretty much domino effects, guy stumbles and almost falls on friend, friend almost falls on me.) 2. The fruit in the sangria is potent! but yummy! 3. Next time, don’t be DD so I can drink to my hearts content! :P This was my first time in LA, without the parentals. I had promised my cousin who lives in East LA that I’d come up and visit and that I did! She told me we’d be going to Do Over on Saturday. «It’s like a pool party without the pool» Found rockstar parking, on Cahuenga. walked over to Umami for a little grub. Walked towards Cabana. There were 5 of us, 2 girls, 3 guys. but one of the guys stayed behind… so the bouncer let the 4 of us in. so note: COMEWITHGIRLS. It was still pretty mellow around 330 when we got there… but as time went by it got more busy. We stayed there for about 6 hours… because more of my cousins friends came at a later time. Which was great, I got to meet new people. :] Initially I was going to leave around 6 – 630 and head back to San Diego, but no. I ended up staying another night in LA. We need one of these in San Diego. Please&Thanks. p. s. as we were leaving the nightclubbers were getting ready to go in, and some girl was like«WTF why are they wearing flip-flops at the club?» Um, wtf why are you hiding jelly rolls under your dress that’s too tight?

Came here with my girls on Sunday afternoon for The Do-Over… I had heard about this event happening every Sunday in Summer but never had a chance to attend… It’s free to get in if you sign up on the Do Over blog. but it’s first come first serve and there’s a huge line outside so early arrival is suggested. So I gathered up the girls, grabbed some Yummy sangrias and had a blast… good DJ and lots of eye candy to mix and mingle with. Good Times!

Forgot to close out my tab before leaving The Do-Over on 07÷31… Called them and left a message requesting a call back at their earliest convenience. Never received a call back… not that big of a deal because I can stop by when they open(venue is open Thur-Sun.). Around 10pm Friday 08⁄05 before the club opens its doors I walk over to the 3 security guys and explain to them that I left my bar tab open and I need my cc and ID back. One of the guys leaves to go look for about 5 – 10 minutes and comes back to tell me that he cannot find it. I calmly asked him if he knows what might have happen to my stuff. With no remorse in an asshole manner he shrugs his shoulders and begins to walk away. I ask him to wait and try to give me a better explanation, he responds to me by telling me «I don’t want to talk to you because you’re acting like a PRICK». That was the end of our conversation. I understand that these door guys put up with a lot of stuff working a Hollywood venue but its unfair when they act like total assholes for no reason and treat their customers like $#iT. If you come here do not use a credit card, this venue cannot be trusted with your private information and acct info… BEWARE!!!

Went here for the first time this past Saturday for a friend’s birthday. I highly suggest getting there before 10:30 because girls are free and guys are 10 bucks. We arrived late and had to pay 20 buckaroos each and I wasn’t too happy about that. There’s a good number of outside seating in the cabanas and the moat or river part was covered so we were able to sit there too. The music wasn’t anything special but it was a good time. The outside dance floor played radio stuff and inside was hip hop. The bar was ridiculously expensive so I encourage pre-gaming for sure. Another plus is that there is a huge parking structure across the street, but that’s another 20 bucks down the drain.

I would give this place 5 stars for its awesome layout and good music but i got bottle service for the wifey bday. I advise all to NEVER get bottle service here The club manager and bottle service coord. Dawn and Tanya gave me an unfriendly greeting at the entrance, and security even came up to ask if we needed to be escorted out of the bottle service line before I could even say«Is this the bottle service line?» It wasnt until they ran my card that they changed that rudeness to respect, but never did it lead to good service. I guess the worst of the worst is they double charged my card and never told me anything about it. $ 500 extra bucks held from my account for 5 days without my knowledge is a big deal and my bank told me its not legal. What if my mortgage was pending or something??? Once my bottle came I shueeeed away the servers and they never came back. We still partied like rockstars so thats another reason they get the extra star.

FINALLY!!! A venue that can fucking hold the Do Over’s crowd, noise, and madness that ensues! Also, I found the bartenders to be fast and not douches. So far, so good. (added Sunday as a «best night»)

Well, this is a long overdue review. I used to come to this place when they had Asian Nights, but I guess it’s been more than 1.5 years ago. So. My review is solely on the venue. I have to say, I like this venue alot because: — Large parking structure across the street — Large Outdoor area — Many bartender stations HOWEVER, I am not too crazy about their mixed drinks. Perhaps I just have my streak of bad luck with bartenders that don’t know what they are doing, but I probably had the nastiest mixed drink in my life at Cabana. I remember going up to the bartender asking for«something strong», and the bartender basically pour me something that’s mixed with 151, Jäger and Chambord. Totally nasty… Anyways. I learn my lesson and stay with the straight up shots from now on. No point wasting money on something that taste like gasoline.

Came here for a friends birthday on a Saturday. Long line outside but friend knew a promoter plus we were getting bottle service so we were all taken to the front of the bottle service line. $ 779 for 2 bottles of Grey Goose! Server made first set of drinks and I don’t recall seeing her after. Didn’t need her tho as I poured myself my own drinks hahahaha This place was poppin! It’s also huge! I remember walking around quite a bit into different areas of the club and never saw the pool!!! Music was mostly hip hop. After running out of goose, got a couple drinks at the bar. Well made patron & lime and jack and coke, about $ 14 ea. I think the patron did me in tho as I was fucked up and threw up later on. Near the end of the night some chumps were trying to pick a fight with one of my friends but nothing happened. I’d give this place 3.5 stars!

I came here with some friends visiting from out of town one weekend and it wasn’t too bad! There were a lot of people in the outside area and not as many inside. Definitely get on the guest list if you can because who wants to pay cover?! The crowd isn’t as fun as other places I typically frequent, but as long as you have a great group of friends, then it can never be too bad!

Believe it or not, I’ve been kicked out of a few clubs before. Yeah there was even that one time that I got kicked out twice in the same night. Don’t ask. But I have a good feeling that it wouldn’t happen to me here. Because it was a rainy Sunday evening, my experience is a little different than other reviews. Regardless of the night that you go, I’m sure you’ll be impressed with the indoor or outdoor sections of the place. Lots of seating, but I’m pretty sure on Friday or Saturday you’d have to pay to sit but that wasn’t the case this night. Check out the pics … You can say the crowd is a little different. I mean how many people do you know that regularly go out on Sundays ’til the wee hours of the morning. So you can bet on my visit, it was not super crowded and you definitely see and get to chat with everyone who was there that night because everyone was pretty friendly ifyouknowwhatimsayin … There were 3 fully stocked bars which were not super busy so it was real easy to get drinks. PS. if you’re not a fan of house music, skip Sunday’s and come on a different night.

So ever since Vanguard started playing trance/techno/house… I’ve been on a search to find a club that satisfied me as much as Vanguard used to. Which has led me to a couple disappointing nights which made me feel like I had wasted my makeup and outfit on crap. :/ After flaking on the girls for 4 consecutive times, it was time to either go out with them or not have friends. My pal L.K. had come here before and said it was pretty alright, but then again she likes going to booking clubs. so it was still a gamble for me. We got in VIP with no cover or wait in line which was nice… what I really liked about this venue was that it was completely outdoors so that it didn’t get too hot on the dance floor unlike most if not all clubs. The little jacuzzi/pool thing was a bit strange and unnecessary, I’d rather watch go-go dancers shaking it rather than lounging around doing not much. Drinks…were overpriced. $ 14 for a liquid cocaine? $ 24 for two red bull vodkas? REALLY?! Ridonkulous! The music however was a lot better than the other clubs I’ve visited and had me and my girls dancing on stage at the end of the night. So all in all it was a good experience, even though most of us can’t remember much from that night. The venue itself though, doesn’t look like the pictures posted on the website… to be honest it looked a little shabby in real life. I’m not sure if it was fob central, but it definitely was Asian night, no doubt about that!

I went with a large group of girls and one guy sometime around 11:30pm, and there was no line. The cover was $ 20, but my friend got it down to $ 10 for us. Great outdoor dancing area, lots of seating for people to chat and/or makeout, cool(and tiny) jacuzzis, and a maid in the bathroom to hand you paper towels and tell you that you look gorgeous. The bar wasn’t too crowded, but I tripped twice on the bridge going to the bar. ugh. I loled to myself when I saw a chick in a swim suit bend over and wriggle her butt at the bartender to get a free drink. She got it.(girls, take notes?) My friends and I were dancing on the stage with the DJ for a few songs, which was a lot of fun. I was dangerously close to the edge at one point(whoops) and the security guy came over and very nicely told me to be careful. He could’ve been a jackass about it, like«get off the stage if you’re gonna hurt yourself, you clumsy asian chick.» The crowd, as most people have already pointed out, is mostly asian, but I found that the guys are a little less creepy than at other clubs. They try to talk to you first before coming up behind you to get their grind on. Then again, a lot of the decent guys I met there weren’t regulars or were only in LA for a short period of time. meh. Loved the music, but toward the end of the night they started playing slow music, which completely killed my mojo. Time to leave. Oh well, I had lots of fun and would definitely come back.

This is a good spot. Nice setup with an outdoor courtyard with pools and cabanas lining the perimeter, with a dance floor indoors in a separate room. Three stars for a shady bartender and some hoodrat drama. It’s not the club’s fault for the drama, but it IS their fault for their security guards creating MORE drama from the drama. They put some random guy in a chokehold, who was basically an innocent bystander. Instead of keeping the peace, security escalated a «5» situation to a «10». I liked the DJ and the indoor dance floor, and the group of girls I went with had a great time. But that can largely be credited to one of my friends knowing a promoter there, and we skipped the line and cover. If we had to pay cover or wait in line, I probably would have been a little disappointed. Overall, go with good friends, tell the bartender EXACTLY what you want, and avoid paying cover if you can. You’ll have a good time.

What DUMBASS would use a shingle rooftop for a floor… near the effen bar of ALL places??? Cabana Club is not good for a klutz like myself. Even with flip flops, I somehow manage to trip on air and land straight on my hands and face. No joke, my friends have war photos. Thank God, I didn’t land in the moat area(which is now more like clusters of Jacuzzi’s), but I did end up falling twice at CC! Now I will be rocking a limp and Salonpas to the clubs this weekend. :X My friends and I came to CC on Fri, 6.25.10 at around 10:25PM. LINE: There was a line of about 50 – 60 people at this time which moved surely but slowly. COVER: GL ends at 10:30PM, but my friend was able to get us through the VIP line, so we didn’t have to pay cover. Whoo Hooo! Otherwise, it’s $ 20. CROWD: Opium/Go Productions was promoting so it was an Asian crowd. The crowd is Y-O-U-N-G and many looked like freshly turned 21 year-olds. Maybe it’s time for me to find a «Cougar Hunter». *sigh* MUSIC: Outdoor area: The DJ was spinning Top 40s, Mash ups, and Hip Hop. Indoor area: The DJ was spinning older Hip-Hop and quite frankly, he SUCKED. He did a hard stop in the middle of a song and went onto the next song w/o any transitions. We were probably better off w/an iPod. DRINKS: There’s 2 bars; one inside and one outside. $ 14 for top shelf liquor and cocktails. I had 3LA waters which my friend said was similar to an AMF but w/raspberry liquor. The bartender had a heavy hand, and after downing two LA waters I was pretty much F-A-D-E-D. NOTE: They automatically charge $ 2 gratuity for each drink, so don’t make the mistake of tipping them again. What a clever idea to SCAM drunks out of $$$! STAFF: Security was a bit uptight and had the typical d-bag attitude. The bartenders were nice though. Our bartender, Sacko hooked it up w/the drinks and was kind enough to give us free shots. AMBIANCE/DÉCOR: I wasn’t too impressed w/CC’s décor for it being an LA club and all. Don’t be fooled by the pictures online, they make it look 100x better than it actually is. CC has two sections: The outdoor cabana area and an indoor area. The cabana area NO longer has a moat and instead has several small jacuzzi’s. There’s a huge flat screen playing an old beach scene of a guy surfing OVER and OVER! The floor is not leveled or smooth, so you definitely have to be careful when walking in heels. There’s 4 booths for table service on the right side and another 4 – 5 near the entry way to the indoor area. The indoor area is very dark and blah. There’s a circular dancefloor w/a cheesy disco ball hanging above, a stage for the dj booth and 8 booths for table service. It looks like a cross btw 181 and The Parlor(for all those familiar w/the 415). LADIES: Beware of the circular shingles rooftop FLOOR near the bar or risk breaking your ankle in half while rocking your 5′ stilettos. WTF!!! Did they run out of wood and decide to take part of the roof and use it as the floor??? RESTROOMS: There’s 5 stalls in the women’s restroom. It’s relatively clean since there’s an attendant. There’s also lotion, hairspray, and candies available. PARKING: Valet is $ 20. There’s street parking and a garage across the street which has a $ 8 flat fee. There’s too many clubs in LA to go to than having to settle w/CC’s drab décor, getting ripped off at the bar, or risk having to spend the night at the ER. NEXT!

Went here for a friends bday last night, we valet parked the car, that cost $ 20 lame. The line wasn’t too bad about a 10 minute wait, you get padded down so leave you shanks and fuetes at home. After your pat down, you have to pay $ 20 to get in, but at least that price includes the pat down. I guess we were kind of early got there at 10:30 and the place was pretty empty, it worked out for us because we got a booth, which was very cool looking going with the whole cabana theme. Plus you can smoke, I actually picked up a couple packs for free, for giving up my id and doing a short survey, that was probably a bad idea, since I don’t smoke. They have two dance floors from what I saw, the music was mainly hip hop, stuff you can two step to. The crowd was cool and pretty friendly, girls dressed in very little clothes always a plus. Beers were $ 7, that seems standard, mix drinks were about $ 10 – 14. I opened a tab and the bartender said i had to spend a minimum of $ 25, which I didn’t because they had 3 different bars. And there was a free fight between 2 girls, so all in all a fun place, if you like clubs.
