Old school restaurant with a great location on the water. Get there at sun set and you’ll be treated to a great view. Food was good and service was great. Will return.

What a great spot! We tied our boat up at the excellent dock & even had someone come down to hell us. Food was delicious — couldn’t get over the key lime butter! & homemade key lime pie! Service was fantastic! Must go!

This restaurant deserves way more than 5 stars. It’s easily 10 stars and then some. I can’t even recal the last time I have had such a fantastic dinner. I had the coconut shrimp which was a delightful entrée of shrimp with a coconut inside cream delight that just was over the top. I also had the tomatoes, asparagus and potatoes. These were not just sides, they were masterpieces in and of themselves. The restaurant overlooks the intracoastal and the views from every table really capture the beauty of the location. Our server Wilson was wonderful and knew each of our names by the end of the evening. Don’t visit Hollywood beach without eating at Billy’s or you will really be missing out on a true treasure!

We ate here a while back to celebrate the holidays. The weather was perfect, so we ate in one of those large gliders with a canopy, outside, along the water. The Stone crabs were big(considering we ordered the extra large ones) and delicious! We were full and satisfied when our meal was over! I walked inside to check out the upstairs dining room and I was impressed with how fancy/nice it was in there. I’m planning to go back and dining in the formal dining room next time. If you love stone crabs, you will love Billy’s!

Billy’s. …Billys…I can’t wait to go back !! Best fresh crab I’ve ever had, your view is Fantastic, when I took the elevator to the second floor and it opened into a glass enclosed large upscale restaurant, overlooking the beautiful intracoastal, the best, of the upscale restaurant, that I have ever been to, in South Florida!!! The food is excellent and the service is impeccable, thank you Roger, I really enjoyed the Key Lime Pie, which was delicious! It’s the season for stone crabs, so I decided to go, to one of my favourites restaurants in Broward County. The stone crab claws/King crab was fresh and outstanding! For fish and seafood this place is a gem of high quality and well worth experience!!! ;-) I love to admire the wonders of a sunset, this is the perfect place, I hope you enjoy your visit and fill your hearts and soul with good memories! ;-)

Just came back from Hollywood Florida and had a taste for stone crab so I Unilocaled this place and glad I did! Great service since we had no reservation they fit us in the wine room on 1st fl which was more intimate. The large stone crab was $ 50 for about 5! Yes a little pricey but well worth it, they crack it for you! My husband ordered the oysters on the half shell, 1 doz about $ 38 they were okay not the best but fresh. The fried calamari was good had light breading but a lil chewy. Since we just wanted apps we probably should have been in their market room which is casual, u order from their seafood mkt!

I am a big fan of Joe’s in Miami Beach but we were looking to try someplace different and my husband wanted unlimited stone crab so we made a day of it on Sat. and drove up from Miami. Valet is $ 5 and cash only, we had no cash so it was a bit of a mission to find an ATM so something to note if you are visiting. Outside seating is a small patio and it was hot out so we opted to dine inside but there are beautiful picture windows so you can still enjoy the view. Hostess was very friendly and nice which made a great first impression. Our server was awesome, did not get his name but he was bald and from Canada and has worked there for years. He really made our experience enjoyable and we will be requesting him next time we go. Hot and fresh rolls along with the key lime butter was so good! My husband and I both love stone crab and we felt the quality and freshness was great here. Mustard sauce was also really good. We both opted for the succulent size which I think is perfect size. Unlimited in this size was about $ 87, 1LB. was $ 45 which is double current market price so yes, it is a bit pricey. Another thing we like is that they crack them really well which means less work digging the meat out. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered the hash browns cooked just like Joe’s. Perfect side dish to go with the stone crab. Key lime pie was good but Joe’s is better and it’s because of the crust. Crust at Joe’s is thick, crispy, and delicious. Their version is the standard graham cracker crumb crust, good but not great. Overall, it was a nice change and we had a great experience and very good service. We will certainly be back before the season is over.

This place was extremely disappointing. The start of the bad night was the extremely dangerous parking lot to try to pull into from a main road with really obnoxious valet kids. The food was average at best and highly priced and definitely not worth it. The restaurant did not have enough menus for our party of 10(2 menus) and didn’t seem to care. The waiter was poor – not attentive at all and rude. The food was not delivered at one time and a filet mignon ordered well came out rare. It was sent back and they returned with a new even rarer steak 25 minutes later. They scam you with market price(mp) listings and arbitrarily charge high prices. They deserved a 10% tip but put a 20% large party fee. The bathrooms were filthy and the kitchen looked very dirty and we actually saw someone drop food and put it back on the tray. Overall, a horrible overpriced tourist trap.

Went here on New Years Eve and we had a stellar experience all thanks to Roger, server extrodinaire who went out of his way on the busiest night of the year to make sure my friends and I were happy! Roger was quick with suggestions, kept the champagne flowing, the food coming and did it all with a genuine smile. The food is always stellar and I love that Diane, the bartender, always remembers me no matter how long it’s been between visits. But I guess that’s because she was the«brand ambassador» that I met at a different restaurant one night years ago who suggested Billy’s to me. If you go on most days, while they don’t do reservations, they do have a «call ahead“list. On New Years Eve, call ahead, show up, put your name on the list again and be prepared to wait about 40 mins enjoying drinks in the bar if you get there after 6pm. The only reason this wasn’t a perfect 5 star experience was that we almost didn’t go based on a rude person who answered the phone when I called. In between yelling at someone that she was«cut off», he told me not to come to the restaurant as it was very busy. What? Must’ve caught him at a bad moment as when my friend called back she was told to come right over. And we’re glad we did as we had the perfect New Years Eve with the perfect table and server. Must have been a Dr. Jekyll moment!

Best stone crab around. Fresh from their own fisheries. Upstairs is fine dining, while downstairs is more casual. They also have a market with extremely fair take out prices. If you’re looking for amazing stone crab, fresh grouper or mahi-mahi, an array of delicious speciality dishes and personal superb service, then Billy’s is the place to be. Oh, and can’t forget the amazing view of the water as all the boats pass by. May even see some tarpon jumping! Try it for yourself, an make your own review. I’ll definitely be back!

This restaurant is a tourist trap!!! Everything is so expensive and most of all not worth it. We ended up going here on a weeknight and the place was empty. We chose to sit on the outside deck overlooking the water of course. The view was magnificent. The waiters were very good and performed their job to a tee. We ended up ordering the stone crabs obviously and they were good. What bothered us was the price tag of $ 88. You can go anywhere in the near vicinity and get stone crabs for half of the price. Also, we had ordered the grilled shrimp which was extremely over cooked with steamed broccoli that was extremely undercooked. The outside chairs are plastic and are not flattering at all. Pricing does not match atmosphere and quality period. The extra star is for the servers not the food.

Came here for a dinner program held by a pharmaceutical company. We had the wine room to ourselves which was nice and it had a bathroom area conveniently located in the space. The décor was nice, my only problem was it was SOOO cold! I was shivering after a half hour. I hate when it is too cold to function, it makes me sleepy. We had crab stuffed mushrooms, calamari and a very delicious house salad as our appetizers. For my main I chose the stone crabs, after all it is the stone crab house ;) and they were really delicious. The sides were potatoes, with onions, salt and pepper. They were okay, nothing amazing. I was more impressed with the cream spinach. It was pretty tasty. Lastly we had key lime pie, I am not one for dessert typically but this thing was awesome. I almost ate the entire thing but I didn’t want to represent my company as a honey badger! I didn’t have any cocktails or wine, but they did a great job of refilling everyone’s glasses with wine. I heard the red wine was delicious. As for the views. You were right on the water and could literally just grab the water taxi to go to other areas and restaurant hop! Pretty convenient! I would totally come back!

Old School Style with All you can eat options. Tried to go to Truluck’s on a tuesday for all you can eat stone crabs but then found out a few hours before my reservation that they offer all you can eat crab on mondays… A quick Unilocal /google scramble led me to Billy’s which offers crab feasts 365 days a year. My general rule is that hollywood florida is not like hollywood california and there aren’t too many reasons why I would chose this city over my other options for dining adventures. But I had my mind set up stone crabs so we headed down Federal to A1A and pulled into the restaurant on the intercostal. $ 5 for valet which is fair normally but a little ridiculous(especially after you read the end). The restaurant was about half empty on the inside at 845 on a tuesday which is pretty good in my book and the outside was packed. Thankfully we got a seat on the water which was pleasantly lit up. White table clothes, plastic chairs, nothing fancy, waiters wore a polo as their uniform and they come around with a big display showing basically all of their dinner options for the evening(imagine a dessert tray of crab). To start: I notice they have an old fashioned on their cocktail list, I ordered 1 of those and it came out with the tell tale sign of not being delish: they muddled a bunch of fruit in the bottom. It was tolerable but not good enough to have another, at some point the bartender came by and asked if i liked it(it was nearly finished) because he hadn’t made an old fashioned in a while(its on your cocktail menu!), i lied and said it was great… in all honesty, i’m here for the crab. For dinner there are all type of options for stone and king crab and combos and what not. All you can eat only comes with crab(no salad or side or app like truluck’s) and the prices were approx as follows: Medium $ 79, Medium Select $ 90, Large $ 109, Jumbo $ 120, and Colossal $ 140. The prices are significantly higher when they are season because I guess fresh stone crabs are better than frozen ones? While its ideal to only have crab, i think this would probably make me sick of them faster, so we split a cesar salad and a side dish of grilled tomatoes. Salad was large, plenty for two, and pretty heavy on the dressing. The grilled tomatoes were topped with creamed spinach(the only good part of this dish) and then cheddar cheese(?). Then comes the crab, we got the medium selects because the mediums looked teeny tiny and the selects were a little closer than what i was used to. First plate came out with 12, of the 12 about 8 of them were fresh and de-lish and 4 tasted like they had been frozen since last year. Subsequent plates came out at 6 each and again it was a mix of fresh and frozen(disappointment). By my 21st claw i was finished and stuffed to the brim. No room left for dessert. Here comes the real kicker at the end, around 1015 we go to leave the restaurant and the parking lot had flooded, the valet has us walk around back to pick up the car because otherwise our feet were gonna get soaked, but then we had to drive back through the lake to exit and the valet tells me I have to go get my car washed tomorrow because its been sitting in salt water… thanks… $ 5 valet — reasonable, add on $ 12 wash — less reasonable… especially after dropping $ 150pp. I might be back if I happen to crave stone crab and its not a monday… we’ll see.

Pricey but good. Girlfriend has been on a «crab kick» lately so here goes… Walked in at 7pm and it was pretty slow. We decided to sit outside to watch the sunset. We were right on the dock with great views of the Hollywood marina and a nice breeze. Our waiter, Adam, greeted us right away and took our drink orders. He also brought out some fresh baked rolls that were so hot we couldn’t touch them. They came with a type of honey butter that the SO loved. We scanned the menu for a bit while he brought out a selection tray. It had Alaskan king crab, stone crab, shrimp, lobster, steak, and oysters. All of it looked delicious. Stone crab isn’t in season so it was shipped from the west coast. We decided on the Ultimate Crab Combination. 8 jumbo stone crab claws and 2 – 3 lbs of Alaskan king crab. This plate was massive! Stone crab was pretty good but I think could have been better if it was in season. The king crab was AMAZING! I absolutely loved it and I’ve officially decided on my favorite seafood. Adam even had the folks in the kitchen do some of the work by breaking up the shells which was very helpful. We were so full by the end of the meal but managed to eat almost all of it. I’ll be back for more king crab!

Ducked in after taking a bunch of pals to Gulstream Park and it was a fine time, here’s why: * All you can eat Stone Crab or Alaskan Kings were on the menu for $ 50 pp * We were greeted and seated with the Quickness! * Excellent food, inclusive of some champagne to celebrate! * Located on the water * Full liquor bar * Recently remodeled I love the place and visit often, but not often enough. Cabeza, OUT!

This Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood, National and International well known restaurant is the most romantic, scenic seafood restaurant and one that must be experienced, but not without a price. Do not expect to dine here and not spend top dollar for a two story view of the intercostal, Hollywood Marina and one of the most gorgeous sunsets in the South Florida area, let alone the Southeastern United States. Couple that with great food, service and fabulous atmosphere, all looking over the Hollywood Intercostal from all parts of this 2 story landmark off A1A across from Hollywood Beach on the intercostal side of the street. Billy’s is not only known for their beautiful stone crabs and their Alaskan King Crab Legs, but also their steamed clams, muscles, fried calamari, escargot and many fresh seafood dishes served to order for different individual tastes. Grilled, fried, sautéed and pan fried with different crusts that are offered for their daily fresh fish specials such as Salmon, Mahi, and Yellowtail Snapper not to mention other daily fresh fish specials. I ordered the Conch Salad which had fresh conch, and peppers accompanied with fresh lemon squeezed to balance out the slightly and well received spicy bite to the taste. I also ordered for my entrée, Macadamia crusted Yellowtail Snapper. The flavor and texture was amazing and one of the best prepared Yellowtail I’ve had anywhere. There is one other Ft. Lauderdale restaurant that serves the top Yellowtail, but not with this view of the beauty of South Florida. My wife ordered the Crab Cakes. This dish was served with too much breading filler and was not exactly served hot, so she did send it back only to receive another order, with more plentiful crabmeat and was very hot. The server gladly took care of this and was done within 10 minutes perfectly. I highly recommend starting out at the bar, which also has the view, and a couple of their great martinis off their drink menu or a nice selection of wines by the glass, to relax before being seated next to the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the intercostal. Go an hour before sunset and experience the best view as you are seated for dinner. The menu does have a great selection of steaks and pastas as well. The salad and appetizer selection is large including escargot, of course. There is a large selection of side dishes to order with your entrée as well. My last visit to Billy’s I shared the Frog Legs which I must mention are one of their very popular dishes. I could of just eaten a large order of these Frog Legs and a bottle of wine and I would of been happy. A point must be made that if you are going there for Stone Crabs, Lobster or Alaskan KIng Crab Legs, all portions are pricey. They have all you can eat portions of Stone Crabs and Alaskan King Crab legs that are offered, so weigh out what you are capable of eating before you order because, again, you can expect to pay a high price for all you can eat. I recommend Billy’s highly for a special occasion and a highly romantic evening. The view and atmosphere is «priceless», but not the food, so enjoy Billy’s for what it is.
