Mick was an awesome bartender at the beach bar… Super friendly and energetic… We will be back just for him!

Food is overpriced and less than desirable. Don’t bother with the sangria, it’s more like watered down fruit juice. The fish tacos were rubbery. My husbands fish came with beans and not the rice, my coleslaw tasted like just raw cabbage with no dressing and I had to ask for ketchup twice. It also would have been nice if they mentioned that it was turtle season so we understood why we were sitting in complete darkness on the deck. Everyone was using their iPhone flashlights to read the menu, see their food and pay the bill. Needless to say, we will not be back!

We stayed at the Margaritaville Resort for my birthday, and during the vacation we spent a LOT of time at Margaritaville restaurant. The food was really good as were the drinks. Justin H was our waiter a couple of times and he is AMAZING! He’s funny, attentive and really made it a great time. He even sang happy birthday to me. I hope you all know how much of an asset to your staff he is!

Margaritavile was nice to see. The balloon maker on stilts was a nice addition for the kids. The facilities are top notch on the broadwalk. Fortunately, we all found somethingon the sammish menu. Food was a little above average, but a little pricey for the quality. It seemed that there were many servers without tables, unfortunately our server seemed to have all the tables. It was nice for one visit, but not sure I’d return.

Not impressed at all. Too long of a wait for the average food. Service wasn’t memorable either.

This place is nothing like the one in Orlando. The wait was an hour and half for nine people and the menu is limited. We figured we couldn’t go wrong with burgers and fries but where we wrong. The food is subpar for the price and not worth the long wait. Head to the boardwalk for your next dinner meal.

This is a really nice place to go with the family. It is a wonderful experience for all ages. Luckily we were seated pretty quickly so we weren’t waiting forever. We had the perfect amount of time to decide what we wanted. While we were waiting, there was a balloon artist who came to out table to make some balloons for us. He was very nice and he even took a picture for us.(they take tips) It just so happened that the food came out right when the balloon artist was done. I went with the fish and chips, which were well battered and had a great flavor. Everything was decently portioned but it was a little bit pricey.(reason for four stars) Overall this is a great place to go if you are in the area. It’s a great experience and definitely worth the occasional long wait.

Channin(think that’s her name) is a sweet girl, but a terrible waitress. After finally greeting us and taking our drink and app orders, the drinks arrived in a reasonable amount of time, then she took our dinner orders. After that, we did not see her for about 45 minutes, never got our app, and my mothers chicken was horrible, had to wave someone else down because she was no where to be found. Otherwise, the chicken tacos and sandwich were alright.

We decided to check it out after Landshark bar and grill closed at 10:15pm on a Saturday. Apparently Landshark does this so they do not compete with the hotel restaurant/bar. When we arrived things looked promising –a band was playing, people were dancing. We seated ourselves at a table near the band. Over the course of about 20min we flagged down 5 employees who passed by and asked to order drinks. Each employee told us a server would be sent over. Eventually a server arrived at our table without a drink menu, when she came back again she brought a single drink menu for a group of 5 people. We ordered 5 beers. After waiting for another 20 minutes we decided to leave because our drinks never arrived. I appreciated the free concert. I’m just confused as to why they didn’t want our business. As a local property owner I hope they figure it out because I want to see the hotel succeed. This was embarrassing…

New under a year old and very nice place to eat in great Hollywood Florida. Sure the food is always the same but this place being new is worth the look and its inside the resort which is really cool also. They also have a land shark bar which looked cool.

we went here to have a quick bite take in the view of the beautiful ocean and watch the people in the wave pool. Food is OK, will not accommodate on many changes as it is really a bar and not a restaurant. Service was good and your cant beat the view. Was a windy day had to hold down all paper goods. Not expensive for the food.

Good spot for a sunny day on the beach. Nice views. Decent food and drinks. The waiter was one of the best I have had in a while. Food and drinks didn’t take long to come to the table, actually came at the perfect time. It seems to be a good spot at night cuz there’s a stage inside. I can imagine it being a great spot for drinks and love music. I would recommend this spot for a day out… and possibly a chill night out with friends.

I’m a huge Margaritaville fan… so much so that it’s mandatory to visit if I’m Key West or a town with one of these restaurants. When I heard they were building a themed hotel, and not just a restaurant, in Broward, I had to get up there. We finally made our way to Hollywood today to check it out. An hour drive, and 15 minutes wandering around looking for parking before valeting to discover that it was. meh. SERVICE: The first time the bartender acknowledge us(because no one else, besides other patrons had) was 10 minutes after we sat down… right in front of him. And it wasn’t even a hello. it was«I didn’t hear anything» when I looked up from our menu after hearing the loud crash of dishes near the bar. Any time we needed something, we had to yell out for him to get his attention because following up with his customers, wasn’t part of his, or anyone’s, job description, apparently. Overall service: mediocre. FOOD: I should’ve gone with the volcano nachos once I saw they didn’t have the Cajun hotdog on the menu(a staple at the Key West location). Instead, I ordered the grilled chicken breast with a Caesar salad. The chicken was ok at best and a little too charred. I ate ¾ of the chicken before I felt too disgusted to continue(and the knives couldn’t cut the chicken to save your life). The corn tasted AWFUL. One fork-full was all I had. The best way to describe the flavor is to tell you to imagine the smell of a band-aid or medical equipment at a hospital. now imagine that smell as a flavor in your mouth. Sterile and gross. The rice and salad were fine. Had high hopes for that fish. Like I said, I should’ve stuck with what I know: nachos. PRICING: What were they thinking?! The quality of the product does not, in any way, justify the price. ATALL! You’re basically paying for the brand. PARKINGTIP: If you valet your car at the hotel, make sure to get your ticket validated at the restaurant. I think it’s usually $ 17 for restaurant and bar customers, but with validation it’ll be $ 10 for 4 hours and it increases after that. I’m not sure by how much, though. //BUYER BEWARE // I can’t do enough to bring attention to this: They added something called a «public user fee» to our check. They did this at their store, too. The way the bartender described it to me was, and I quote. «It’s how we give back to the community… since we give access to public restrooms and the free concerts». Umm… by «community» he means the local government. It’s a tax on patrons for use of their establishment, on top of the state tax. FYI: The way you«give back to the community» is by donating to local charities and hospitals, helping people, families, and businesses that have been through tragedy, feeding the homeless, etc. Not by padding the pockets of bureaucrats. I did some reading and apparently they tax the hell out of you if you stay at the hotel, too. So much for that, I guess. Overall, it’s highly unlikely I’d return to this location. I’d rather drive 3 hours south than 1 hour north, to be honest. It’s too far of a drive for«ok» food and service. I can get that much closer to home. and a hell of a lot cheaper, sans fees.

Yesterday we took my sister to Margaritaville for her birthday. She loves the place and has been to several of them around the country, so why not the one in our backyard? Our server was Mike and he couldn’t have been a better server! Super personable, charming, and knowledgable of the menu. He took our order efficiently and our food came out quickly and it was delicious. We got the seafood Mac and cheese, blackened Mahi, jambalaya, and the volcano nachos. Btw, the nachos are ENORMOUS so come with an empty belly. When it came time For dessert, Mike brought out a key lime pie for my sister(her favorite) with a candle in it! We also got the Hurricane dessert which is also humongous. The restaurant was clean, the staff friendly, and the food was great! If you go there, ask for Mike! He’s amazing and you won’t be disappointed!

The Margaritaville resort is a major tourist step up for Hollywood, FL, and now the anchor of their mile or so boardwalk area. This restaurant is their casual fare, located on the beach side and easy to get to from the rooms, the street, the pool, etc. My group was a little disappointed at the attentiveness during our wait. We were the only people waiting(or one of few) and even though there were seemingly empty tables nothing seemed to move forward until we asked twice. It was probably 25 minutes or so at an off time(mid-afternoon), I imagine it might be that they were not staffed up for that hour. I recall being told it would be a shorter time. The food itself had a wide variety of options from burgers to sandwiches to ethnic options. I tried the jambalaya and it was a solid 4-stars even though it’s not necessarily the place one would consider ordering such a thing(as opposed to Louisiana coast). Service was a little uneven, the server disappeared at times, again, might have been oversubscribed by number of tables. Refilling drinks, for instance, seemed to take longer than necessary(and we asked for water in addition to our drink order that did not come out without re-asking). The ambiance is interesting, very marine-themed as one would expect. The bar area had several TVs with the big football game on while other TVs throughout seemed to be showing music videos(not Jimmy Buffet, but more vintage 70s and 80s). As I say with most of my 3-star reviews, it’s good enough to go back, but I would be tempted to try another place to see if I could do better.

For a resort restaurant located in the new Margaritaville let me just say I was pleasantly if not shocked at the experience last evening. Visiting some friends from out of town we decided to stay on property(See previous Unilocal review of hotel itself)… Swung into the Main Margaritaville restaurant at about 640PM& Short wait for inside as it was a unseasonably cool night and outside was just not accommodating, but I assure you on most nights everyone wants to sit outside. Multi level seating in and outside on patio with cool Boat seating for large parties. Place is done with a great Water themed motif very bright, and light in colors spacious and clean. Our Server tonight was Kurtis and he was on point all night. We simply had drinks and various appetizers for our party of 4 this evening but we were stuffed by the time we left. Sat a 4 top near outside doors not to far from the bar and had some house specialty drinks. Yea I know $ 11.00 for probably 1 hand measured shot of liquor with lots of fruity mixes and colors to make it tasty hell someone has to pay for this place to be built. Started with the Nachos $ 14.99 add $ 4.99 for chopped Steak on top and this dish could have fed 8 as the for of us had a tough time making a dent. Very tasty in fact some of the best Nacho’s I’ve ever had. We followed that up with $ 13.99 the best chicken Quisedella I’ve ever had with soft hot crispy flour tortilla with chicken hot melted cheese inside with salsa, quacomole and sour cream on the side very good. Last but not least were boneless buffalo chicken bites with ranch or blue cheese. these were crispy fresh hot and tasty. Deserts looked awesome but did not partake. In short for a hotel bar /bar food restaurant I can’t find one bad thing to say about the place… Entertainment of stilt walking people followed by the band coming on at 10PM… what more do you want. for us it was a great experience.

A generous two for McMargaritaville. A sad statement since this place is part of the hotel that is supposed to revive Dania Beach. The dining room has fun designs like mock dive boats where the big party tables live, yet the floor and walls still scream institutional. The service is Jimmy Buffet sloppy. The line server was in such a hurry that the plate banged in the table and off she scurried without asking if we needed/wanted anything like condiments or, oh, utensils to consume the food. The food itself was high quality institutional as well. My grouper was ok but the rice was lifeless mush and the black beans were legume zombies, the bean undead. The mango salsa had precious little mango in it. They forgot the corn on the chicken plate and when they brought it we wished that we could forget it too: the taste was tough corn kernels roasted with a flip flop. If you want a margarita you’re in the right place but the bar is pretty ho hum otherwiseThey rely on the festive atmosphere as a draw, but this high ceiling place with no pop isn’t carrying the water that way either. Even the stilt walker makes my balloon animals found a railing to sit on because the whole thing is that tired. The most insulting thing was a $ 100 bill for two rounds of drinks and two incredibly mediocre lunch plates. There are so many good little restaurants in Dania Beach. Find them and AVOID this place.
