Very, very nice little place for some excellent craft beer and tasty food. Not an extensive menu but the beer is the star here anyhow. We had the kettle chips app & the bruschetta. Both were yummy. Friendly staff, bright, clean & new space. Worth a stop!

Some of the best damn beer I have ever had. The Mustache Stout and Amber are truly fantastic. Food is adequate. Hot pretzel is great. Very friendly staff. I would give the food a 7/10, but the beer gets a 10⁄10. Well worth the trip and a great place for a lunch or dinner.

Nice little place. Food was excellent. Burger had great flavor, Buffalo Mac was amazing, and the Belgium Brownie was great! Staff was super friendly and down to earth. Very quick too. My husband liked their amber as well. Will for sure come back!

I have been to several microbreweries in the state of Michigan as well as around the country and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by Northern Oak. The beer selection is one of the best around. I personally enjoyed their wheat beer the most, not a fan of the bold flavored brews. I decided to give the IPA a try and found it to be very tasty. Just the right amount of hops, not to bitter like the big guy microbreweries in the great state of Michigan. I wasn’t that hungry but I did try the Mac n cheese. Delicious and our server was friendly and prompt with our order. Can’t wait to go again. There’s no Time like the present. See you at Northern Oak.

Craft beer comes to the little town of Holly with a bang! Brewmaster Jeff knocks it out of the field with his kolsch, the Alger Ale, which is perfectly balanced hop to malt flavor. Not too bitter and not too malty-sweet. Hopheads will enjoy the Imperial IPA, a nice floral/grapefruit nose with a clean, sharp finish. The food is all good, of note the kettle chips appetizer. There is not a deep-fryer so all sandwiches are served with chips and a pickle. I like dining in a restaurant that does not stink of hot grease! The flatbread pizzas are a perfect portion for one person, and the Mac and Cheese is shareable. If you are looking for the Union’s Mac and cheese, just tap on the map for directions. This restaurant is a brewpub which serves food and the focus is going to be good food paired with beer. If you enjoy craft beer, this is worth the trip. And order the kettle chips appetizer. Just do it!

My husband and I went there for lunch around 2pm. They weren’t all that busy so i don’t understand why there way such a long wait. Our appetizer never came. The(I’m guessing) manager brought our food out and when i asked for a soda she yelled to our waitress, who was already quite busy, to get it for me instead of walking literally five feet to get it herself… My husband ordered the blue cheese burger medium without blue cheese. They had put the blue cheese on it and then scraped it off, and it was well done. My husband gagged when he tasted the blue cheese. i ordered the alfredo mac and I wasn’t expecting it to be orange, but that wasn’t a big deal. What really bothered me was the texture of the sauce, it was very gritty and not a smooth consistency at all. Our waitress was very nice, although they did seem to be a bit understaffed but, we didn’t have any issue with her.

We were served raw hamburgers, the Mac n cheese had no flavor and no cheese. It was like eating plain noodles with no seasoning. Luckily Blackthorne is down the street.

I am surprised this place has such a low review. We stopped in on Saturday 10⁄17 after a work seminar and really enjoyed the beers and food. The food was tasty: I had the Naan Chicken Sandwich and my husband had the Pulled Pork. We were not dissapointed. They have a variety of beers as well. As an IPA fan, I enjoyed mine. You can tell the place just recently opened, with a modern but casual feel, and also very clean. Servers were nice also. If we didn’t live 2 hours away, we would be back.

Despite the bad reviews, I loved the beers and quick service on a Saturday. Ordered the naan chicken sandwich and the Mac and cheese and was quite impressed. Mac and cheese tasted homemade. Keep up the good work guys!

We went here on 10⁄14 and really enjoyed the whole experience. 3 of in our party and our meals(Ruben Sandwich, Blue Burger and Pulled Pork Sandwich) all were terrific. We also enjoyed several different styles of their brewed beers. We recommend you give this restaurant a chance. Servers were very attentive.

Northern Oak Brewery has the best beer and food in town. We will be back for the speedy and very friendly customer service. Thanks for being so patient with our 15 month old and making us feel right at home. This is not just a brewery its a family restaurant as well.

Came on a lovely Saturday afternoon to enjoy some beers. I tried the amber, IPA, and kölsch. All delicious. The Amber was my favorite only because it was unique from other amber ales I have tried. Most definitely recommend.

I often go to the northern oak brewery. I found the soups to be delicious along with the mac and cheese. They have an awesome selection of beer, and their service has greatly improved. Cheers!

Five stars for the beer — I liked all 8 of them. The food and menu need work. We have eaten here twice. We live close and want this restaurant to succeed! The mac and cheese — we tried the regular and buffalo chicken — were awful. The buffalo chicken mac and cheese tasted like noodles with Frank’s Red Hot dumped in a white sauce. The regular Mac and cheese was super runny and flavorless. The chef needs to eat at one of the restaurants the Union mac and cheese is served at to see how a side of mac and cheese should look and taste. I had a burger tonight — great burger and love the chips. Why would you serve burgers with no lettuce, tomatoes, onions, or condiments? When the waitress brought the burgers she asked to you need ketchup? Shouldn’t a condiment like mayo or something be assumed? When I asked for lettuce and tomato, I was brought shredded salad lettuce(do you not buy fresh whole lettuce?) And sliced Roma tomatoes. Yuk. My friend ordered a sandwich and her only comment was«the chips are good». Please PLEASE work on your food so you survive!!!

Excited to try this place despite the negative reviews. Service was good, the food was the negative. Our friends ordered the Rueben which they said was decent, the rest wasnt. I had the Cuban. There was no pulled pork on it & it was less than mediocre. We also ordered a pizza & had to verify on the menu that there was actually supposed to be cheese on it because there was none in sight. Good beer selection. If im just going for a drink I may go here but id skip the food.

The food that was delivered correctly was fairly good. Two people in my party asked food to be altered like no jalapeños on my BBQ chicken pizza and dressing on the side of a caesar salad. Both were delivered wrong. The service was the worst ever, no refills and took a half hour to get our bill after we asked. This place is not ready to be open yet. Lots of kinks to work out.

Great Craft Beer, food & service at a great price! Try all 8 of their house brewed beers for $ 12 and take home a flight glass. Happy to welcome a brewery to our small town!
