I enjoy this place for lunch and dinner. It’s more of a Mexican joint with some Caribbean spices mixed in but I really loved it. Their salsa is also very delicious.

I took my wife and nephew here Friday night. I ordered the Jerk chicken, my wife and nephew ordered the chicken sandwich. There’s came out first and looked pretty good and they said it was an average sandwich. They both said that they loved the fries! Mine came out and it didn’t look like Jerk chicken I’ve had in the Caribbean nor Jamaica. It was bland and had no salt, spices or HEAT to write home about. It also came with some very weak and under seasoned coleslaw salad and a side of black beans. None of this was seasoned or salted at all? I want to add that the portion of my dish was as follows. 1 drumstick and 1 thigh for $ 16.00? For what I got it wasn’t worth it at all… Our total bill for 3 was $ 51.00 without tip.

Portions were small. Coleslaw was served in a tiny portion Cup. Not a good way to start a new business.

This place isn’t bad. But for the amount of food I got the prices were wayyy too expensive. I understand you gotta make profit, but this is just a financial slaughter. And to top it off the food wasn’t very hot. You pay up front when you walk in which is Ok, but if I’m going to be dishing out a ton of money I would like some table service, or they should drop the prices a bit. By the time the bill came, I felt like I was going to have to hand over my wallet. The good side is they were very friendly and welcoming. And it’s a good change of pace compared to the constant Chinese food and Mexican food. Conclusion: Drop the prices a bit and it’ll be a killer food joint worth the tab.

Great food. I’ve tried the burgers and the seafood and definitely recommended both. The vegetables and sauces are delightful here. Going to order a burger now.

Great and quick food that is different from many of the other restaurants in the area. It’s the«order at the counter then be seated» type of place so it’s easy to handle groups and service is quick. Had the jerk shrimp and coconut shrimp plates. The shrimp is huge and the sides are delicious so you’ll get full fast. Had the coconut juice with the pulp… Hydrating and delicious. I love that Nano’s introduces more variety in Hollister… It’s much needed and what Hollister deserves.

A great gem in Hollister. Despite the lack of curb appeal and it’s location in a shopping center between an automotive and hardware store. This place is a must. Nice décor inside makes you feel like you’re out on an island. The food is delicious and the fresh coconut water served in side the coconut is a nice touch. I had the jerk spinach wrap and chicken wings. Wings came out with pineapples dices over, and a side sauce that was sweet and tangy. The wrap was filled with slaw, beans and jerk pork. They had a bottle of what seemed to be sirracha sauce and mayo mixed that made the wrap a success. Not to mention the customer service, we were attended by a very helpful and cheerful server. Def going back.

Very tasty, authentic Caribbean food. We had a Caribbean burger & a Prawn burger, both with fries & a kids chicken tender meal with veggies. Everything was delicious, hot and prompt. Before our meals they brought out complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was the best I’ve had in town. We will definitely return.

it was OK. The burgers are not anything special, the fries were OK. The décor could be so great, but it just looks like they took a few hours to throw some«Caribbean» looking items on the wall, with out really creating a fun, and enticing environment. I miss Ellas:(

New place. Been open ~2 months. Friendly staff. The jerked pork is good, but the seasoning is a bit on the light side. The Cuban sandwich was a bit too salty for my tastes, but I tend not to add salt when I’m cooking. Overall, I’d go back. Just won’t order the Cuban sandwich.

Hubby and I had lunch here the other day. He got jerk chicken and I got the Cuban(sandwiches). Yummy, and big portion sizes for lunch. However, I gotta say, I’m disappointed in the lack of authentic flavor. I’ve had real jerk chicken in Jamaica several times — this places lacks the complex spices and heat. If you go in there with this in mind, you’ll love it! (It is quality food, but more Caribbean inspired vs authentic)

So happy there’s something new in town. I agree with the previous reviewer about the only choices being Mexican, Chinese or Pizza. This town needs something fresh and this place is it! Super-nice waitstaff explained how to order and fresh fruit infused water offered if you’re not into soda. The chips and salsa were really fresh and tasty and come out while you’re waiting for your food. Had the fajita mix and the Cuban. The veggies were grilled perfectly, not mushy or rubbery. The meat came with sweet onions that had a pineapple influence(maybe). The rice had a light topping of slaw with mango. The Cuban was tasty with fresh bread and the fries were REALLY good and crispy. Ask for the special sauce for dipping. Oh and they included fried banana’s with a tasty cream as a treat. The restaurant is decorated nicely, clean and the music was fun. I wish this restaurant much success as it’s my new go-to in town and I look forward to exploring the rest of the menu.

I wanted to like it and I feel bad for not being able to give a better review but I won’t be back. Pricy for what you get. The jerk was dry and was more like carnitas than anything jerk. The fire shrimp was dry too. Maybe it needs something to dip it in. The Cuban sandwich was good but coming from someone who knows what a Cuban sandwich is, it wasn’t a Cuban sandwich. The beans and rice were just average. They bring a tiny basket of chips and salsa for 5 people. The food came out one plate at a time and by the time the last one got his, two of us were done. We waited to dig in but it was getting cold so we agreed we’d just eat as the plates came. So the five of us decided, we won’t be back unless we hear a lot changes.

Chips and salsa is bomb. Pretty good for being in hollister, I can’t want to go back and try something different. When my family is in town, so want to take them here.

My mom and I went here today! What a breath of fresh air. It’s so nice to FINALLY have something different. Everything was REALLY tasty. The only thing I would suggest is bulking up the portion size for the«The Jerk». It came with what looked like ½ a cup of black beans and not very many veggies(looked like ½ a cup). Beans and rice are affordable so I don’t see a problem with giving a bit more! I’d love to see more vegetables on the plate. I love VEGGIES!!! All in all, it was not a 16.00 plate. More of a 12.00 plate. The only reason why I wouldn’t order it again is because of the price/portion. The flavors were good though! I ordered the small Prawn Cocktail(8.00) and that was delicious! My mom ordered a Ceviche Crisp(5.00). I am glad to see that you use rock fish and not nasty tilapia. The plantains were friggin amazeballs! Yum! Thanks for making good food!

Cute Caribbean décor and an extensive Caribbean food menu. I had a cup of the lime and tortilla vegetable soup(3.75) and the Grilled Tropical salad with organic greens, grilled pineapple, hearts of palm, shaved carrot, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, with home made honey lime dressing($ 7). My son had The Groovin’ Cuban for $ 10, pulled jerk pork, sliced ham(looked like deli ham), grilled onions, cilantro, crunchy pickles and Swiss cheese with mustard sauce on a fresh roll with fries. Everything was fresh and tasty. With two sparkling lemonades($ 3 each, no refills) the bill came out to just under $ 30 with a tip $ 33.) prices range from $ 7-&16. They do have a kids menu selection for $ 6 but does not include a drink. Desserts are homemade $ 4 to $ 5. Casual atmosphere. Order at the counter and served at your table. Open Sunday– Thursday 10:30– 8 and Friday and Saturday 10:30−9.

The hubster and I dropped in for an early dinner and were excited to see(and taste) that our dreams of eating something other than SAMEOLDSAMEOLD have come true. The menu is large enough to offer plenty of options, but small enough to be able to make a choice on the fly. I ordered THEJERK because this is a Caribbean place, that’s what you’re supposed to do! The hubster ordered the Cuban. We both agreed that the flavors were nice and the portion size was perfect(nothing left to take home, but stuffed enough to feel satisfied). The dipping sauce for the fries was awesome and I’m happy to report that there are both gluten-free options(get it from the grill) and vegetarian options(fusion fajitas, quesadillas and salads). Can’t wait to go back and try something new.
