Since this place is only a few blocks away from several of my friends’ houses, I’ve spent a fair bit of time here over my years in Hollister. It’s a pretty nice park, except that it has tanbark, so shoes are definitely a must. The swings are very nice, and abundant(six swings, if I remember correctly). The play structures(there are three) are all relatively decent, if generic. There is a nice, huge grass area for sportsplay/picnics, and blacktop for basketball games(there are hoops), hopscotch, dodgeball, what-have-you. There is an official entrance near the expanse of grass, but I don’t think I’ve ever used it. Most locals just enter through the gap between the chain link fence and the school building in the parking lot on Cerra Vista Road. It’s been there for years, and no one’s ever bothered to fix it.
