Tropical Flavors

I am compelled to write this review as my intestines are now doing the running man. Tropical is dishing out LEGIT Jamaican cuisine. In an area dominated with West Indian culture, it is hard to sift through the not so good resturants and find LEGIT grub that is worth your dime.
This place came highly recommended by my brother who also shares the same sophisticated palette like myself. I saw the advertisement for FISH FRY FRIDAYS and knew what my stomach was set on. I ordered the fried Red Snapper dish. Comes Escovitch style (HOT peppers, onions and a parade of veggies). This is SPICY, so if you can’t stand the heat, get something else. I had a cold, lets just say. my sinuses are crystal CLEAR now. Portions are HUGE. Not like many Caribbean restuarants that dish out 90% rice and PEA and 10% meat and veggies. Everything on my plate was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Snapper fish was HUGE. Felt like they packed a small Whale in my plate.
The breakfast here is also delicious I hear. Porridge and Saltfish& Ackee classics done right. I have found a new home. I will be back like Arnold Swartzenegger.
