I love going to the flea market and called in advance and was told«we love dogs», well I find out the hard way that only the place across the street likes dogs. The lady that runs it(I assume she is Shirley) told me to «leave the property immediately» because of my dog. I was going to buy some coins and left because she kicked me out. Stick to the bigger flea markets across the street(Hollis flea or silver lake flea) where like«love dogs». I haven’t figured out which one is which.

Smaller and a little trashier than the Hollis Flea Market across the street, this is still a treasure trove of good stuff. This location has a more convoluted layout than the straight rows across the street; watch out for rocks and roots. There are usually a few regulars selling military surplus, car parts, and low-grade musical equipment… Cheapo guitars by the dozen. You’ll also find assorted exercise equipment, tools, furniture and ephemera. Definitely entertaining.

Shirley’s Flea Market is directly across the street from the Hollis Flea Market. Most folk think that they are indeed just one big market but it is not. Shirley’s is a bit smaller, and a bit more disorganized, I think. It does have big pine trees for good shade which is a positive. I also do not believe that they have bathrooms like Hollis does. I feel that Shirley’s has more lower end vendors here– with less desirable stuff(more crap) than Hollis. Another positive is that here is a vendor that has fresh fruits and veggies which is cool.

This is where you find just about every Sunday though the season. Shirley’s Flea Market located in Hollis, NH is a dream come true if you are shopping for vintage housewares. Open every Sunday, April though late Oct. Best to get there early, to find the best treasures.
