The sushi was horribly made, it was old raw fish(which is unsafe) and cucumbers in each roll were hard and seemed to be once frozen then thawed. It hurt to eat the«sushi». Sashimi and nigiri were both absolutely disgusting. Rice was not fully cooked. I went to the restroom because of feeling unwell after that horrible nigiri. My friend had told the waitress(Joe) that I did not enjoy the food and apparently he waitress laughed and walked away. That is extremely rude and unprofessional… and I ended up paying a lot of money for that dinner too. If you want to spend your time and money on overpriced food poisoning, this is the place to go!

The Mexican sushi roll is amazing! You can’t beat half off nights! Definitely would recommend, and frequent often

Different atmosphere than you would expect from a sushi place. Attention to detail isn’t a strong suit for them. They forgot the wasabi and ginger with my sashimi. The miso soup was good. The ginger salad was a bit salty. The sashimi was fair. The rolls were decent but had too much sauce, and it overpowered the fish and vegetables. This restaurant really misses it. It will not be on the rotation for their sushi offerings, but perhaps we will try it for the Chinese food.

We came for half off sushi on Wednesday and it was wonderful! It’s a great deal and Jo gave us great service — very attentive and nice even though we had a huge group! She was so helpful and patient. Everything tasted really good as well! 10⁄10 would recommend

We’ve eaten here several times and it is consistently a great meal with great service. Our most recent server, Jo was outstanding! The chirashi is great, especially if you add some of the homemade ginger dressing.

Purchased take out from this restaurant on 1÷20÷15. Consisted of an egg roll and hot and sour soup. The egg roll was average and the hot and sour soup was exceedingly sweet. Additionally, the soup was 99% broth(no spoon needed). Egg roll $ 2, soup $ 3.95 about the same cost as China Buffett. Your choice!

We have been here several times for half off sushi night which we are aware this is a great promotion for this business. However our service has consistently been a bit unacceptable. we wait to sit we wait forever for our food and trying to get another drink is a trick. We had a server one time that was great she must have quit. We still spend $ 70 even on half off night we feel that if you cannot handle the business that the half off sale brings in then maybe you shouldn’t offer it because honestly it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you wait to get seated wait forever for food and drink refills and then sit there with empty drinks for a half hour waiting for a drink refill or your bill. We lime the environment and the food but they need to step up the service.

Went last night, terrific service, well kept, clean, and nice inside. We ordered several different sushi rolls, all were very good & the fish fresh. Really enjoyed the spicy California Roll & Rainbow roll!

Went in here last week to grab some sushi for lunch. Initial thoughts on appearance were that it looked like a dump, but I gave it a chance anyway. I walked in and was seated immediately as there were only two other customers in the restaurant. Sushi prices seemed a bit high for the area, but the full menu wasn’t too bad. However, I didn’t end up ordering sushi. Behind the sushi counter stood the sushi chef, dressed in swishy Adidas pants and an old New Balance T-shirt. Along with the lack of professionalism in clothing, he was coughing and wheezing. Due to this, I didn’t order sushi. This continued for the entire time I was at the restaurant. I ordered the broccoli and chicken, which was brought out steaming hot, but tasted bland. The miso soup was good, though. The server was also attentive(again, only two other customers in the restaurant at the time). As I stood up to leave, the coughing sushi chef had walked to the back and was replaced by an equally well dressed young man who began vaping behind the sushi counter. Really? Maybe I’m asking for too much for employees to not be making food while audibly and visibly sick. Probably a step too far to ask them not to vape while working inside the restaurant as well… I will not be going back.

There really isn’t a better«deal» on sushi in Toledo if you come here for their half off nights. The sushi is pretty good, and at the half off prices it can’t be beat. The restaurant does get very busy during the half off times and you will likely need reservations, or you will have to wait. I generally pick Wednesday nights because the sake is also half off. The sushi isn’t the best in Toledo, for that head to DOMO, but I do enjoy it more than some other places, such as Sori Sushi. If sushi isn’t your thing, there are many other good food options. Fu Yi was an amazing Chinese restaurant, and they use some of the great recipes and items from that menu. So if you are looking for a good deal on sushi and don’t want to spend a ton of money, go here on a Wed, Fri or Sat night.

This restaurant’s information is wrong. Their website claims that they are open until 2:30 am. We drove all the way out there for late night sushi, and were denied at the door at 10:30. The woman working walked up to the closed door and told us that we couldn’t even come inside. I will NEVER eat here again.

Great food. Great service. Although the menu was a little confusing they made it right for no extra charge which made the whole experience amazing. I defintely would come back.

I went there alone at 309 pm on Thursday, October 16, 2014. I ordered the Garlic Chicken and a cup of tea. The tea was warm and bland, having barely any tea flavor. The big disappointment was the Garlic Chicken. It was inedible. There was so much salt in the dish that i could not eat it and I left it. It was horrid. I was also charged 2.95 for a cup of tea. I thought that was ridiculous. The veggies were pretty much raw, which wouldn’t have been a problem if the onions weren’t so spicy hot being raw. You could not eat them they were so spicy hot as raw onions.

Spicy Tuna Sushi Bar came here for ½ sushi Wednesday. It was busy, look a little short staffed, I guess for ½ sushi, people come. I came with my friend Matt and his girlfriend Maria and my sister Mishell. I love sushi, especially ½. Ate $ 140 worth of sushi between 4 of us. Our bill with my sister was $ 35 not bad for 9 rolls. I really enjoyed the dragon roll and the spicy tuna roll. Rice on the sushi was decent. The only thing is did not like was the one roll with a lot of Mayo. I am a mayo lover, but it was too much. Over all I really enjoyed the everything. Will come back and visit this place again for ½ sushi.

$ 1 off all sushi rolls #20−69 during lunch hours daily. ½ of sushi wed 6−1045pm and fri and sat 9−1045pm. Boom. Finally got around to hitting this place up on a Wednesday night right at 6pm. Upon arrival, the host had us wait for some odd reason. We waited a good 20 minutes or so. There were a handful of open tables. We inquired twice and it wasn’t until the third inquiry regarding our table did we finally get it. «So…we’re just going to go sit at the bar ’til our table’s ready. Is there a reason why it isn’t?» the Unilocaler said. Third time here(first time for dinner) and I will have to recommend the Mexican(spicy crab, avocado, jalapenos & cream cheese), Climax(salmon, cream cheese & avocado), Spider(soft-shell crab, crab mix, cucumber, avocado), and Red Dragon(shrimp tempura, cucumber, avocado). It’s definitely worth trying all the special makis when they’re ½ off! Sushi was pretty delicious considering how thrown off I was by its ambiance. There’s a full bar… and a game room… and kareoke nights? And TVs with sports. Not that I’m complaining… but it’s definitely not your typical sushi joint. Nonetheless, I’m a fan of the ½ off nights and see myself returning when I crave a roll or 5. PS…they only have flavored sake. Which is meh. But that’s also ½ off on the nights mentioned above.

Spicy Tuna is a strange place. Not sure what the space was used for in its past life, but not many sushi joints have a back room with arcade games. Everybody who goes seems to be a regular, people meeting up with friends and grabbing drinks after work. The crowd is really hopping on Wednesday for half off sushi night. The staff is knowledgable enough about most of the menu items and even if you’re not into sushi(like me) there are plenty of other menu options to choose from, those that I’ve tried aren’t amazing– but they’re ok. However I’d rather have options than get stuck with another order of chicken teriyaki at any other sushi joint.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this restaurant yet! I’ve been coming here once per year, every year, for the last five years. I’m in Toledo once per year for a race, and we always make it a point to go here. The sushi is pretty good, the drinks are pretty good, and while I haven’t had any of the Chinese dishes, I hear they’re pretty good too. The service isn’t anything to write home about, but to be fair, I usually come with a group of 25 – 30 people. I think this latest trip, last week, topped the scales at around 3 dozen. They’ve always been very accommodating, especially with separating the checks. If you like«average sushi,» meaning just salmon, tuna, and white fish, you’ll be pretty hard pressed to find rolls. They’re a bit heavy on the shrimp, crab, lobster, etc. and it seems to be a bit more expensive than in locations where sushi is a bit more ubiquitous($ 7 for a regular tuna roll, versus your normal $ 4 around the NY/New England area). The apple and lychee sake, and the saketini are pretty good though, and sometimes there is karaōke. Lots of fun, solid place, and I’ll be back next year.

Not THE best sushi in town. Not THE best Chinese in town. Not THE best drinks in town. But, when you put it all together, it’s really quite good. It’s not where we go for a special occasion, but occasionally I meet the wife and kids there for dinner and sake on the way home from work. Don’t call CPS yet… the kids drink milk. If you like spicy stuff, you’re safe with the«volcano chicken,» my favorite dish here. You get a nice sized portion and the flavor is excellent, and they’ll hold the mushrooms if you ask them too. It’s spicy enough for my taste, but mild enough that my kids can eat it, too. As for the sushi, it is a pretty good deal on «half off night(s).» My wife, who definitely knows her sushi, seems satisfied enough. Personally, I like the atmosphere a lot. I like the radio music that plays overhead(«You’re listening to FM104WIOT, Toleeedo’s Beeest Rooock!») I also like the«do-it-yourself-at-Home-Depot» décor(check out the construction of the actual sushi bar and the waiting area by the front door and you’ll see what I mean). Like pool and/or classic video games? Check out the game room. A Multigame machine?! DIGDUG, RALLY X ANDFIFTYOTHERS? OHHELLYEAH!!! The mural on the back wall(Yog the space monster and Godzilla attack Toledo) is, uh, unique and worth a look. Three to four stars for food, four stars overall(atmosphere, good service, and a nice selection of mochi!).
