Not at all bad, but not the hamburger Mecca I was hoping for. A friendly little place with good staff. The venue is clean and comfortable. The menu looks to have the typical sports bar fare with an extra emphasis on burgers. Today, I ordered the«Googantuan» burger with avocado and the usual toppings. It took about 20 minutes to come, but the big burgers often take a bit longer to prepare, so I wasn’t surprised. The burger patty itself was good: tasty, juicy and prepared to order. The bun, however, was kind of a mess. It had spent too much time on a grill that seemed as if it were past due for a cleaning. Ugh. The accompanying fries were the thin ones and also seemed overdone — essentially just burnt French fry corpses. I would definitely like to come back to try some of the other burgers, but I’ll have to wait until the burnt bun taste goes away…

Great place! Awesome food! Fred burger with PB was really good with a fried egg instead of onions! Great service too!

So many different burgers to choose from! I had the Fred burger which is the one with peanut butter. Trust me I know it sounds gross but it seriously was the best burger I’ve ever had. They also have a mac and cheese burger which is exactly what it sounds like and also great. It’s a great local sports pub with terrific food. My only criticism is that I think the fries could use some attention.

Too expensive. Food was good, not out of this world. Husband said we are never going there again because he did not like it. He also said that grease is oozing out of the roof onto the exterior sign and that grosses him out… so sorry for a downer but just being straight.

Went here for lunch today on a recommendation from a co-worker. I had the Cheezy Tater Burger. It was awesome! The patty was cooked medium as requested, the cheese was gooey, and the bacon was thick sliced. My girlfriend got Tobacco Road Burger, and the mooz looked incredibly cheesy and the BBQ sauce was a good, Carolina style sauce. And the home cut fries were pretty tasty(though a bit greasy, they were pretty similar to what is found at Five Guys). The food came ~15 minutes or so after ordering, and the service was pretty standard pub service — not exceptional, but attentive nonetheless. I’m definitely coming here in the future when I want an awesome burger at a good price.

A great atmosphere, a perfect place to belly up to the bar and get a cold Beer and by far one of the best Burgers in the area… If you have the stones try the«Fred Burger». Peanut butter and Onion, sounds strange but tastes GREAT!

«Specialty Burgers for an Acquired Taste» We were in Holland visiting family and Goog’s was located next door the hotel we were staying at. We tried both kinds of Cheese Stix but neither was anything to jump up and down about. We substituted onion rings for fries. They ended up in the trash because they were the disgusting frozen kind. My boyfriend ordered the Mad Max’s Up North Burger. It is a burger that has a beer brat on top and then some grilled onions and«bar» cheese. It started out good but as he ate his way through it, there was a bad aftertaste. It was very rare and needed a lot of salt. I ordered the Brooklyn Burger. It is a Reuben sandwich with a ½ pound burger. It is a handful to eat. In fact, it was such a big burger that I only ate half of it. The amount of corned beef was surprising. There was so much that I could have removed the burger patty and had a standard Reuben sandwich remaining. Again, the burger was very rare and needed lots of salt. If we return to Holland and stay in the same motel, we will probably try the pizza instead of the burgers. Otherwise, we wouldn’t go out of our way to have their food.

The service was a bit slow. When I first entered Goog’s, I went straight to the host and said«table for four». After about 25 minutes or so of waiting I noticed that other parties were getting tables before me that came in after me. Went up to the host and asked if my name was already called and of course, my name was not on the list. My party and I were able to sit down after another 15 minutes of waiting. Other than that, the food was good just not worth waiting over an hour total between waiting to be seated and ordering.

Goog’s. Just ate there the other day and once gain, probably one of the best burgers you can find in Holland. Im not a beer snob so I could care less about the beer selection, as long as Strohs is there and it is, I’m all set. If your not a burger person, than try the Chicken, very good…

This place is dirty and smells like wet carpet. I ordered a Michigan draft beer it came out cloudy. I would not recommend this place because of the Smell.

Initially, I avoided Goog’s, as the name grossed me out a little bit. Good news! They’re not gross at all. Our party ordered: The Bourbon-ater(delicious), the Crop Duster(so good), Mad Max Up North burger(not so good), the Mac n Cheese burger(holy hell so damn good), the Phoenix(awesome!), the chicken wings(freezer burn taste-ewwww), Classic Cheeseburger(very good). The service is lacking the extra effort and mom and pop hospitality, but still okay.

Burgers. My favorite food. My last meal would be my Mum’s double decker cheese burger with her home made fries. A student at the college my wife works at needs to be thanked for mentioning this establishment to us, otherwise we may have never stumbled upon it. We have family in town from abroad, and there’s nothing visitors to America anticipate more on their stay than a proper American burger. And aptly, outside of the building on the side wall we see a proper sign too, «Restaurant ‘Merica.» The obvious photo of travelers beside the sign follows. But more on the inside of the restaurant. It’s got a sports bar atmosphere, and is adorned with local Holland sports helmets and jerseys, as well as some more famous items dotted about. There’s a Drew Brees Saints jersey on the way to the Mens(with an amazing picture inside looking down on Yankee Stadium.) It’s a real local gem. Local NFLQB Kirk Cousins is mentioned in the menu(his favorite burger being the«Spartan Burger»). It’s a busy but relaxed atmosphere. There are plenty of diners, some waiting for seats at the door. It’s got a great local feel, a great spot to sit and chat or excitedly anticipate a game The menu, is all about burgers. I’m arriving a little after our guests, so I have been ordered the Tobacco Road Burger, made with liquid smoke, mozzarella and hickory smoked bacon with some Carolina sauce. To really order anything else but a burger here, well, it would be kind of like not getting a donut at Krispy Cremes. We all have burgers ordered, the Phoenix, the Big Macatawa and the Burbonator. The service is ok, a little slow on a busy day, but it’s forgivable. The servers are friendly and fun. The burgers are plentiful and after the first bite you know this place is a jackpot. The burgers are delicious. And I mean, everyone, despite the size of the burgers, finished their plate. This was a battle we all refused to concede until every last crumb was gone. I have made it a vow to go back and attempt to try every single burger on the menu, and, catch a game there. A great find.

Lowering review. The pizzas have changed and are not recomnended. The 7 inch shrunk and the crust not as doughy; very thin. Just not tasty anymore. I gave it several chances. Service has gone downhill. I was there for lunch and was given bill when my chicken sandwich hadnt come. Took forever! They had pitched it because of wrong cheese. Only took 5 dolllars off. They should have comped it! 7.99 is too high for mall pizza. Pizza hut buffet is just over 5. City vu downtown has great pizza and salad buffer for 9.99 at lunch. Go there instead.

I was introduced to Goog’s a couple of weeks ago and have been there twice since. I can unequivocally say that this is one of the best burger places I’ve been to. For starters, their burgers have a very beefy taste. I’m not sure what cuts of meat they grind or have ground for them, but they’ve found the the right formula. Secondly, there is an abundance of toppings from mac & cheese to peanut butter. My choice the last two times I’ve been there was a seasonal specialty — Palmer’s Bloody Mary Burger. It had bacon, cheddar and bleu cheese and was topped with bloody Mary mix. Hopefully, they’ll make it a permanent addition to the menu. Third, the burgers are big enough for a hearty appetite, especially with the fries included. The first time I went, I had buffalo style chicken wings that were dry and not very hot, but that has been the only misstep I’ve experience yet. Autographed pictures of sports stars, adorn the walls. They are especially proud of their Detroit Tigers and of local boy, Kurt Cousins, but they also have autographed pictures of Joe Dimaggio, Micky Mantle, Jose Canseco, and many, many others. All in all, a very comfortable place with great burgers.
