I had to go to Holland overnight for business and booked the room last-minute through a third-party site. No problems with the booking and was able to check right in with no delay. The front desk staff members were friendly and helpful. My room was on the 4th floor. It was very clean, the mattress and pillows were actually soft and comfortable, and it was convenient to have a small fridge and microwave in the room. The free wi-fi was a nice feature. I was there on a Tuesday night, not sure how many other guests were in the hotel but I didn’t experience any of the«thin wall» noise issues noted in other reviews. I didn’t partake in breakfast or order room service so I can’t comment on the food, but I did visit the hotel lounge and was delighted to find a couple local craft beers available. The one downside to my stay was having to experience Fox News propaganda every time I turned on the television. Fox is the default channel and I hope the hotel considers changing this to something more neutral and less offensive.

I have stayed here many times for business. It’s location was very convenient, and the staff were always friendly as well. I only gave it three stars because it could use some updating. However, this wouldn’t deter me from not going back.

Stayed here many times for business. Just gave a list of complaints to the front desk last night to give to the GM since I have many more visits planned. 1. Workout room is small — can’t really fix that but fix the televisions and put a fan in the room. I asked for this earlier in the week but nothing was done. It is super hot; partly because it is by the pool and the thermostat in the pool was set at 75. 2. Have a hostess at breakfast. Very annoying they have 2 or 3 waitresses who also have to seat you. If you peek around the corner you get yelled at to go stand by the hostess stand(with no hostess). Since many people have free breakfast cards for being a gold or diamond allow people to seat themselves. Wait times have been long because they are busy bringing coffee/OJ and clearing tables. Business people in the morning can’t wait 15 minutes. When your hotel is full allow seating outside the restaurant. Put notes on the table that you can get eggs made to order or omelettes for $ 3. I found this out after seeing someone else with eggs over easy. 3. Get rid of the 10 pound covers for the hot food. Most restaurants use the metal pans that lift up and down easily. When you put 5 in a row and everyone keeps clanking them it gets annoying! I don’t want to do weights for breakfast! 4. Participate in the Hilton promotions. Don’t opt out on the quarterly promotion. 5. Fix the wireless. I do appreciate the special code which puts me on a separate VLAN(after complaining my first 2 visits). For the general public we don’t care if people are watching netflix at night. Every hotel has the same issue. Business people have to work at night. 6. Room temperatures vary greatly. I am often having to raise and lower it and switch from heat to A/C. Things they can’t fix: 1. Small bathrooms 2. Thin walls; I regularly get woken up throughout the night by others 3. Adding weight machines in small fitness center like I have seen in other Doubletrees and even Hamptons. 4. Chlorine smell from pool. Ask for a room not facing the pool. Positive: 1. Pool and Whirlpool 2. Ping Pong Table 3. USA today and WSJ 4. Very friendly front desk staff; will give dinner recommendations 5. Good breakfast 6. Refrigerator and Microwave in room
