Lansing Charter Township, MI
Both the food and the service are lack luster. I only came here again because it’s walking distance from the hotel I’m staying at. It’s a sports bar that thinks it’s a steakhouse. Don’t bother unless you want drinks and bar food only.

My filet looked like a Salisbury steak minus gravy. It was thin, tough, over cooked. The waitress disappeared after stating «That’s how our filet looks.» Terrible restaurant. Tons of places in the area that are better.

Stopped here for dinner last night. Don’t bother. Asked for iced tea. It was warm with 2 – 3 pieces of ice. Had to ask the server, twice for ice before she brought it. Ordered small sirloin and sweet potato with butter on the side. When meal came the butter was on the potato. 4 times more than was needed. I asked her to take it back and bring one with butter on the side. She brought it. The potato was cold. I asked her to bring a hot one. She returned with the same Potato and said that should be better. If wasn’t. Still wasn’t warm enough to even melt any butter. During this I tried eating the steak. It was almost raw inside. I ate the edges and pushed the «managers button» on the table. She finally came to the table, after about 10 minutes. I explained the issues to her, she apologized and said she would take the price of my dinner off the bill. That was nice but still didn’t fill me up. Don’t waste your time or money.

My husband and I agree that this Brann’s is not up to par. My dinner salad had a lot of old, rubbery lettuce mixed with fresh pieces. The breaded shrimp was raw, so they replaced it. It was very good. We wonder if the manager there is on his/​her toes.

So this is my fourth visit in one year and the place is subpar. Today the bartender could not explain the beer selection and thought Budweiser was better than founders the hammer was dry and no flavor. Plus waitress did not ask how I wanted it cooked This is my last visit. I tried and realized it is not worth my time.

Came in for a bite, sat in bar area, I saw they had local breweries on tap asked server whom was the bar tender and she stated «we have a couple of founder beers, you get a little glass and there very expensive». Ordered a hamburger and tasted like cardboard, never was asked how I like it cooked. So they must be cooked frozen patties! Yummy!!! Not! I should have gone to GOOGS! My overall there quality is cheap, will not be back!

Almost every time my family and I have eaten there we have had good service. When we went there for Father’s day our orders took forever and when my mom’s food came out her potatoes came out a good five to ten minutes before steak which was beyond dry.

In the area and was looking for a good steak place. Read some reviews and thought might as well try it.
Negatives:
The booth that we were seated in had its cushions all ripped up. This should be addressed and fixed. Doesn’t look well for a place that is a little pricey.
The loaded bake potatoe that I got with my meal was cold. Didn’t send it back since I was stuffed.
My husband’s prime rib looked very sad. We’ve had prime rib at other places and the presentation was awesome. The prime rib looked so sad and for the price was not impressed.
Positives:
The Rum Runner… now that is a drink! Huge! Very tasty and worth the money.
My son ordered the Swiss burger which he said was good. I had a steak which was prepared nicely.
It was my birthday so I did get coupon for a free steak on my next visit. You just have to show your id.
Plenty of tv’s for the sports people out there. Every table has its own small tv at it. Kneo is available to play.
All in all not too bad.

Steaks were way undercooked. They then put them back on the grille and were still undercooked. We also saw another table sending undercooked steak back. unacceptable for a steakhouse.

My fiancé and I were driving around Holland looking for some late night dinner, and Branns was the only place left to choose from, but I’m glad it was. The service was great; our waitress was super nice and provided excellent customer service. My fiancé got their Reuben, and he loved it. I got their prime rib sandwich. Meat was tender, juicy, and cooked just right. The only issue was the buns were a little soggy, and the sandwich was falling apart, but that isn’t a big enough reason for me not to order it again.

This is a good place to go if you’re looking for a good steak at a reasonable price. My only complaint would be that on my last visit the size of the rolls they bring out while you’re waiting on your meal to arrive had dramatically dropped in size to the point of being tiny. By tiny I mean like literally only half the size of the rolls at Logan’s Roadhouse or other restaurants. The steaks here taste good so they meet the general requirements of a steak house. As for their sides go they range from OK to good. The reason I’m rating Brann’s as 4 stars instead of 3 stars is because the workers here are always very friendly which is an important aspect of the dining out experience for me. I’m looking forward to my next visit and look forward to coming here for a long time to come.

They have a late night happy hour with drink and food specials after 10pm. For that reason alone, they get at least 3 stars. Unfortunately, I can’t give them any more than 3 because the food just really isn’t good at all. Come here for the cheap drinks at night, but skip the food.
