I’ve driven by this place countless times since it opened but had yet to try it. Finally had an opportunity to step in and it feels like a really nice neighborhood sit down. They have TVs and a bar for a boys night out but they have plenty of tables for groups as well. We had the chicken slammie and crab-wiches. Neither were noteworthy in fact they were only average. My chicken was a little overcooked and dry. But I ordered it without the feta dressing. The crab-wiches were fine but plain even with the sweet corn sauce. Personally I don’t like getting chips with dinner but I won’t ding them for that since you can upgrade(for $ 2!!) to curly fries. Bar wise they had 6 beers on tap and a healthy list of bottles. I’m sure you’ll be able to find a beer to your pleasing. I’m excited to try this place again to try some different menu options.

This was our second visit to Black Sheep. We wanted to give the restaurant a another try. Our first visit was close to the opening. Our server was less than proficient. The guy behind the bar who also served was great! He was personable, informative of the specials, menu options, and what beers were on tap to his guests. Thankfully we could ease drop! Our server either had to read from her cheat sheet or to go to someone for info to answer basic questions. Ill prepared. The«adult» entrees were delicious. «Kids» menu was the same old fried or empty carbs offerings. Please indicate if your mac & cheese was good old yellow Kraft out of the box! I can make that option at home for a fraction of the price. Our children deserve better food offerings. Flourless chocolate cake & beers on tap were wonderful. Overall our service was substandard. Food was good but slightly overpriced. Presentation for the ribs & dessert was great. Other entrees served to my party was merely food on a white plate. We are not rushing back nor recommending to others. We expected more from the folks of Itty Bitty. We will gladly go to back to Itty Bitty — again and again but we don’t plan to return to Black Sheep anytime soon.

Lunch, snack, dinner. Interesting, tasty food, served attractively at a reasonable price. A great neighborhood place where you can avoid the usual boring chain restaurant food, with enough variety so that you can go back as a regular. Only one complaint: the overhead lightweight pop music sucks.

Absolutely love this place! Amazing food, and great bar staff… not to belittle the rest of them… I just typically enjoy sitting at the bar. Always a great time at the Baa Baa!

We stopped into this townie place after a long day of travel from DC and were pleasantly surprised. The place was pretty empty at 930pm on a Wednesday so I was sceptical about the food and service, but I was wrong. The blue gill fritters were a great starter(batter was a little too heavy but I’ll forgive that because the filling was cheesy and awesome). The ahi tuna tacos were quite good and the portion was huge. My husband had the lamb, which was probably the most marginal of our dishes, but still pretty good and came with great fried potatos. Overall, totally worth checking out if you are in the area — great local bar!

We had the Grilled Pub Steak and it was awesome. Not conversation friendly but well worth the loudness. Nice to have a cool casual place to go to with a different kind of menu. Try it you’ll like it!

Went for Saturday lunch when they first opened. Enjoy the deep-fried guacamole, Blue Gill fritters, and a huge house salad.. That was some sparkling pear cider and everything was excellent! Our waitress was attentive and very informative. Went the following week for dinner, the wait was long, the food was still fabulous, but the service was lousy. There was apparently a VIP table in the section that we set in. We along with several other tables were pretty much ignored by our server, the wait for food was very long. However the VIP table got attention from our server along with the bartender and several others. As good as the food was I am not in any hurry to go back.

Such a great new neighbor bar! With great food! I had the fried guacamole and meatballs! They were amazing. Also, have a great wait staff all very nice! The restaurant owner also owns itty bitty(North side of Holland, MI) and White House(Saugatck, MI). If you are in the area try this restaurant!
