Update: I wrote to customer service and explained my frustration with their store credit policy(after trying at least 3 different shipments, as I detailed below), and requested a refund just in the name of good customer service. They refunded not only the price of the dress, but also refunded the return shipping amount I paid on the last return. I was pleasantly surprised. Still think their dresses are poor quality, but customer service got a few points.

I had been reading about Shabby Apple for awhile in the daily candy and on fashion blogs so I was very excited when a groupon was offered for an on line order. The premise of their design was simple: create dresses that cover enough skin. The designers per their website decided to «After years of not being able to find stylish dresses that covered enough skin to make you really feel comfortable(without wearing a tank top, cardigan or long slip), owners Emily and CK decided to do something about it.» I should mention the company is based in Utah and there might be some religious influence with that, but hey some characters on Big Love are fashionable, except for Niki, she needs help. Anyhow, imagine getting a wrap dress, that you don’t need a camisole underneath to hide cleavage. Yeah, I’d buy that. So with high expectations, I placed my order. I ended up with the Gray Fox dress and a Atlantic Fogt-shirt dress. They looked stunning in the pictures. As someone who designs clothing as a hobby, when they arrived it was easy to spot the cheaper fabrics used on this cotton/poplin dress, like straight out of discount bin at G Street cheap, the color was not quite as pictured, although the seams were perfect, the cut was somewhat mishappen. The fabric was easy to wrinkle, lightweight and flimsy. The Gray Fox dress was somewhat costumish, for the $ 85 price tag it was completely not worth it. Additionally, their sizing is way generous. Anyone more petitish will have issues finding something short enough and something that fits a smaller frame. Before ordering read their reviews from customers on each item, you’ll find that people are not afraid to speak their minds. The good news, the t-shirt dress I ordered was awesome. I have a feeling they work better with jersey fabrics or rayon/poly, not cotton. Take that into consideration if you order. Some pluses to this business, they offer free exchanges, a fit to flatter feature that matches clothing to a body type, do charitable work with women throughout Asia and Africa. They have all the makings of a great company, and clearly have talent, they just need to consider better materials. Also one of their models looks like Bristol Palin, right? See:
