Good food but lousy service! We were in the band room for live entertainment, and there was about 40 – 50 people to be waited on… ANDONLYONEWAITRESS!!! She served us a single drink each, which took about 20 min to get, then after waiting another half hour we got the manager’s attention because our food order was never taken. I asked for a pot of tea after my meal, and she didn’t even ask if my husband wanted another drink, or a tea cup as well, and his first drink was gone. He was never offered another drink and we stayed for 2 ½ hours!

Best Chinese food in the area. Consistently good. They have a great process for the New Year’s Eve to-do rush.

The food is consistently good. The menu has the standards but the standouts are the boneless ribs and crab Rangoon. Takeout is quick.

First of all, let me just say I felt a little guilty about ordering Chinese food on the Fourth of July. A day of constant rain ruined plans for a picnic. The guilt went away quickly when we picked up our food from Wong Dynasty & the parking lot was packed. Like all places around here, you have to order your rice separately — it doesn’t come with the meal. I find this totally weird. We ordered 3 dishes & rice. They got our order right — and it was decent. Not shockingly delicious, but good. For the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel bloated, tired or gross after eating Chinese food. I figure that must be a good sign. Wong is a little bit out of our way, but I’ve decided it may just be worth it.

Hit the Wong for a pre Xmas dinner with my family for dinner and pretty drinks. The Mai Tai remains my favorite, packed with a tangy punch. My daughter is a Scorpion Bowl afficiendo and loved hers. Mom had a Rosemont Shiraz. We had Americanized Chinese and loved it all. Cheap, hot and prepared SUPER fast. Joanne, the owner comes around to check on everyone. All was well. The only bummer was the stink of our neighbors sterno blazing on their Pu Pu Platter.

The entrees are terrible… like everything is cooked in fish sauce; by now I’ve tried about 7 different dishes and none are worth recommending. You also have to pay extra if you want rice with any entrée, which is a new one for me. The Mai tais are excellent(best ever) so if you have a few before dinner arrives you might not care about the taste of the food. The environment is also strange… more like a banquet hall than a Chinese restaurant.

Wow. Not only was the waitress inattentive(saw her 3x in 2h), she tried to bill our friend for a drink he neither ordered nor received. When she boxed up our order, she put the wrong items together, and it took her 20 minutes to return with our amended bills and incorrectly packaged food. Also, the pad Thai did not use pad Thai noodles, and, upon eating the leftovers, I also found a big, honking chunk of eggshell. Not a typical ingredient in pad Thai. I will not be coming back here again.

These guys have been doing great Chinese food for years. Used to do the lunch buffet or takeout, but since it was renovated been going in at night more often. Surprisingly busy atmosphere, sports on the TVs, Keno, and karaōke nights are hilarious. Love the crab rangoons, beef teriyaki, and scallion pancakes. Stiff drinks and the sushi is actually pretty good too.

I’ve been coming here since I was a child and it’s always been very good. The hot and sour soup is the best as well as the MaiTai’s try them! — All the staples are always excellent as well. They renovated in 2009 and it’s the only reason they are getting 4 instead of 5 stars, I definitely preferred the old style of the place as it felt more like a Chinese restaurant and the booths were more comfortable than the tables they have now.

We went here for mother’s day. I hope that is the reason for the awful experience. They had a buffet — and you know how considerate people are — I thought I was in rush hour traffic. — with the aisle blocked so you could not enter or exit the room. The food was decent(still cannot fins a great Chinese restaurant). The best part was the staff: We had a waitress who took our order, a waiter(I guess) who delivered our food and two bus boys who took the dishes away. When the waiter(I guess) brought over part of our order, he WOULDNOT take the soiled dishes. Therefore, he did not have room to put the dishes down, but he did it anyway and REFUSED to take the dirty dishes away. He called over the bus boys so they can talk to each other as they stacked the dishes in front of me. I hope they did not expect a great tip!

You can try not to like The Wong, but it’ll never work. The Wong is all things to all people– and that’s damn near impossible. But I suppose that is the reason it has been a Holden mecca for decades. Great sushi and chinese. Excellent bar scene, karaōke, comedy nights etc. Try the Wong Whacker– it IS as delightful as it sounds. Do it!

I rarely go there and eat in. I order for pick up a lot. their sushi is really good. And the dinner combinations are a big portion for a fair price. I don’t enjoy the crab ragoons, they are too cheesy. I honestly order once a week.

The food, service, and ambiance are all pretty decent. They don’t oversauce the food, and don’t dump massive amounts of MSG into each dish. There’s one problem. Like most restaurants, Wong is seeing their costs increase. Instead of raising prices, they’ve drastically cut the quality of the food. They’ve accomplished this by shrinking things like the Peking Raviolis, and extensively cutting back the amount of good stuff in the food. Good stuff means means anything expensive like meat, vegetables and seafood. Example? The lo mein used to have a huge quantity of large chunks of white meat chicken. Now, there are tiny strips ¼ of an inch in diameter, and those are hard to find. Vegetables are chopped into tiny bits as well, leaving Lo Mein that is mostly noodles. Pork fried rice used to have ½ to ¾ inch chunks of pork. Now, the pork pieces are ¼ of an inch. The Peking Ravs used to have 11⁄2 inch chunks of ground pork inside the dumplings. Those chunks are now ½ an inch in size. I really wish Wong would increase prices, and return to the days where they were generous with the ingredients in the dishes. Now, you can tell that they’re worried that raising prices will lose customers. Sad.

Chinese food is a genre of food that I take very seriously. Since I don’t get to go for Chinese food very often, it is important that I have a good dining experience when I do or else it becomes an evening of regrets. The Wong never disappoints me with its high quality food. It has a very large selection of Chinese food and sushi, to the point where I find myself reading the menu as though it is a book. I’ve had a number of dishes from the menu — from the combination platters, rice dishes, and meat appeatizers to the pad Thais and the flavors & textures always seem to be a perfect mix. The one item that doesn’t quite suit my tastebuds is the crab rangoon. It’s not at all bad — the cream cheese mix is just sweeter than what I like. Can’t wait to get back there for another dinner!

I grew up in Holden and moved to NH but we still drive home just to go to the Wong. The food is great, the staff is nice(always remembers us) and the karaōke is FUN!!!

Best place for Chinese in the area. Love the food, whether we get take-out chicken fingers and lo mein(which is awesome), or eat in. They’ve had a decent crowd at the bar the nights I’ve gone there(a lot of kids from Anna Maria down the street I’m assuming), but the dining room is nice as well. Decent prices, too.

If I were going to eat out for Chinese food, this is where I would go. The restaurant was recently remodeled. The service was excellent, food arrived quickly, and the place was clean. Large dining room doesn’t offer much privacy, but the seating was comfortable. Our food arrived steaming hot and was pretty good(I’m very picky about Chinese food). We ordered the veggie lo mein, Sparkling Beef, peking ravioli, white rice. No scallion pancake on the menu, but that wasn’t a big deal breaker for us.
