I grew up in the Holbrook Grove back in the 60s and my friends and I would go to Cottage Variety to cash in bottles and get penny candy. I live in Norton now but anytime I am in the Grove area I make a point of stopping in. I love the fact that it has not changed much and it is still a small store and not part of a larger chain. Good food, friendly service and small town charm!!!

While working in the area a while ago, I stopped in for a coffee & saw the grille being used & decided to get a blueberry muffin, grilled with butter. The coffee was very good & the muffin was awesome. Stopped in again recently & got the same thing for both myself & a friend I was visiting. We both enjoyed it. Not a fancy place, but I would come back & sit down & have breakfast when I have time. The 2 girls working were very friendly & nice!

I am surprised and proud to say that I am the first review for the«Corner Store». :D I used to come here as a kid, and buy penny candy(which they still have), and cheap breakfasts on the weekend, and after school snacks. I remember getting a grilled bagel with cream cheese for .75 cents. Obviously prices have gone up, but on the very rare occasion that I still eat here, the food is just as delicious. They have a deli and some awesome sandwiches. The steak and cheese is greasy, gooey and OH so tasty! The corn beef is great too. I personally love the breakfast foods that they sell all day long. You cannot find a better bacon, egg, and cheese on an english muffin or bagel, anywhere!!! GUARANTEED! They also still have yummy grilled bagels… ahhhhhh this takes me back to being a kid again… nothing about this store has changed for many years, so don’t expect anything pretty when you walk through the door. They also sell snacks, lottery, and small amount of liquor like most other convenience stores. The only downside is the hours, I think they close at 7.
