I called a company that farms out repairs to small businesses and this guy was apparently the first on their list. The response time was extremely fast. When he arrived we talked about the problem and possible solutions.
By the time we were done talking it was 7:30pm and time for me to put my son to bed. I told him to «hang on for a few minutes» and he said that he would get started and speedily said what I thought was $ 100 for the cleaning.
Turns out he said $ 400 for the cleaning!
The guy pulled out a spray bottle of chemical, sprayed the AC unit, and hosed it down then acted like he was giving me a deal when he charged $ 350!
DO NOT CALL THIS PERSON HE IS A SCAM!
WISH I WOULD HAVE USED Unilocal TO FIND A DECENT REPAIR COMPANY

I got totally ripped off. Way overcharged for the part. And he scratched my wood floors pretty badly, despite my making sure he’d be careful with the floors.

I think they are a scam. They responded instantly to my initial call, gave me an estimate, took my deposit, and VANISHED. That was weeks two weeks ago. I have spoken with someone but they just say «tomorrow». It’s weird and frustrating.

Several appointments blown off, shoddy incomplete repair of my oven, and then impossible to track down. Only thing they did quickly was charge me $ 334. Two months later, I am starting over with a new repair company!
