Can’t really complain. Which, I dunno, doesn’t really leave any room to biotch. Three of us ordered beers and dinner plates for a total of $ 50 — not bad. Our server was nice and the facility was clean and friendly. I ordered the balsamic Gorgonzola cranberry walnut salad and couldn’t bring myself to finishing it as the dressing was so salty it burned my mouth. When asked how they liked their meals, the guys in my group responded with a manly«Ugh.» Which I guess means it was good.

Max & Erma’s is kind of a difficult place to review as it’s somewhere you can always take a group and they will have something for everyone on the menu. My problem is that they have the same old chain food everywhere else does, maybe that’s not a bad thing but I like my food to be more then average. It get 3 stars from me, an average restaurant, with an average atmosphere, and average food.

I’m not a big fan of Max & Erma’s. I swear everytime I come here it smells funky, well at least the bar area does. I have had better luck when I sit in the dinning area. Food is ok but the desserts are better!

My family frequents this particular Max and Erma’s and we haven’t been dissappointed yet. We’ve tried a few of their other dishes. I’ll have to say I didn’t really get thrilled by their Laredo Steak meal. It was okay, but I think I’ll spend more money and get a better steak at an actual steakhouse. Max and Erma’s is more of a tavern/pub type restaurant. It’s also great for kids though their game room has rather old video games, but video games aren’t the reason people go to Max and Erma’s. :) This location is busy enough in the dinner hours. Not so much during midday. BUT, onto the food review… Their Chicken Tortilla soup is OMG awesome. Spicy, cheesy, chock full of chicken and yummy crispy tortilla strings. Mm Mm good. I could eat a large bowl of this and still want more. Oddly enough, their pretzel stick appetizer dip tastes ironically the same as their tortilla soup… hmmmm…condensed tortilla soup? One has to wonder. But, it’s not the soup that keeps me coming back… it’s their burgers. Next to Red Robin(which I’ve reviewed), Max and Erma’s has one of the best burgers I’ve tasted in a while. They have fewer burger selections than the Red Robins, but it’s always so good. I like the Bleu cheese burger myself. Their fries are also always hot, crisp and yumyum. Though, order the 8oz burger(or 6oz I can’t remember) because their 10oz burger is QUITE a huge burger to finish in one sitting. I find myself cutting it in half and saving the other half for a snack later it is so big. Desserts…freshly baked chocolate chip cookies served on a cookie baking sheet… oh yeah… it’s awesome! :9 Hot, gooey, soft and crispy… chocolately…definitely a to-die-for chocolate chip cookie. It comes in a half dozen, AND if you wanna have some to just take-out after dinner you can do that too! Be sure to tell them when you order your meal that you want Chocolate Chip Cookies to go(or eat-in if you still have room!) It takes about 15 minutes to bake the cookies, but it is so worth it! They also have a white chocolate chip macadamia nut version too. Another favorite is the banana cream pie dessert. It’s like an individual banana cream pie… though if you are not a fan of whipped cream, tell them to tone it down or you will get a LOT of whipped cream to eat. You can also ask for it without whipped cream as well. It’s quite bananalicious! Max and Erma’s is definitely a nice family dining choice and my family and I will be going back a lot. You betcha!

I very much like the drinks here; even fake sangria is good(and cheap on Friday nights). Beer is also not expensive and they serve Newcastle: yessss. Food is also good, lighter and less pricey than similar chains; black bean taquitos are particularly good, as are fries and desserts(though I’m somewhat put off by a bathtub full of ice cream.) Servers are friendly and helpful, parking is easy, décor is standard. A bit cold in here every time I go, but that might be because of the bathtub…
