Friendly, local sandwich shop. Excellent food at reasonable prices. Hot Italian sanny is a good bet!

I’ve been going to the shop on Silverside Road for years so when I moved to Hockessin I was happy to see one at Lantana. What a disappointment! First they got the order wrong and then we were all shocked at the lack of turkey in the sandwiches. And last the turkey was not fresh. The shop on Silverside is always packed and I was the only customer at dinner hour at Lantana so I guess that should have been my first clue. I hope they try a sandwich at the Silverside store and get their act together or this Capriotti’s will be history.

I love this place! I always get the Italian sub with hot peppers on the side. My only complaint should be if you ask for hot peppers on top they put way too much. So ask for them on the side.

ever since Hockessin store opened back up, subs and cheese steaks are much smaller. definitely skimping on meat and rolls are smaller. tried salad too and was very meager with toppings. size of salad was masked in a shallow bowl. value is no longer there.

Get the Bobby. You’ll be happy. Or get anything else really, you’ll still be happy.

So happy to have them back in Lantana Square! The new management seems to have turned things around here. Service is fast and friendly and they now accept credit & debit cards. Online ordering was awesome, easy and fast.

What a disappointment. The Italian was skimpy — the roll was smaller, less meat and cheese. Might as well go to Subway or WaWa, as suggested. The Bobby seemed OK but smaller. This is trading on reputation only, which cannot last long.

Reopened summer 2015. Pretty much as you would expect for a sub shop. It is nice to have them not so far away again. The cheesesteak we had on our most recent visit was good and as we remember it used to be. Service a little on the slow slide.

Capriottis opened back up again. So I was thinking hmmm. Let me try it because there’s new ownership and maybe a new team. Well let’s say this place sucks and it’s a scam. I ordered a medium and the sandwich seemed like a small it was so small. It was also 9.50 To me it seemed like a small at Wawa. And you can get the same sandwich and bigger at Wawa for 5.00. This place is all hype it’s not good and it was a terrible expierence. So If you go to capriottis get a large because I have to admit large is a good size for the price $ 14. But honestly skip out on this place and go somewhere else

NOWOPEN! They opened this past Monday and the food is good as usual. Well staffed and fast service. It is about time they reopened. I had the most tasty turkey hoagie. It was slightly better then the same location last year. But I need to wait a few months to see how things are after they have been opened for a while.

DONTGOHERE. This is the worst Capriattis location anywhere. They only take cash and they’re extremely rude. They frequently close early and don’t answer phone calls half the time. I’ve given up on this place, now I just go to Newark and save myself the hastle of dealing with these jerks

Drove 30 mins to get to the Hochessin shop, I needed to place a $ 200.00 sub order. Upon arrival I was told it was cash only! The cc machine was out of service. I simply said«gee, I just drove 30 mins to get here.» The rather large, burly person behind the register attacked with«that’s just too bad, what do you want me to do about it!» Well a simple«sorry for the inconvenience» would have been nice. Their mission and principles talk about Customer treatment and service. This person needs a refresher! Not a very friendly place.

I’ve just eaten here one time, but I was very impressed with the Capastrami sandwich. We were hungry after only coffee for breakfast so we decided to split a large… 20 inches is not so big right? Actually, I think it was closer to 25 inches(l wish I had a yardstick with me). We soldiered on and finished it, but honestly, the large is probably good for 3 or 4 people. It would have been a 5 star experience, but we were both put off by the cashier who was eating in the prep area(which does not seem like a best practice), and seemed pained to come to the front and answer a question.

Delaware’s best sandwiches: the bobbie, slaw-be-jo and the capastrami rival the best NY delis have to offer(I was born in NYC).

I stopped here for dinner the other night. I bought a turkey sub and I do not like what they do to the turkey. They call it «pulled turkey» but it’s like a pureed turkey. The texture is very off putting and mushy. Turkey, in my opinion shouldn’t be «pulled» like pork. I’ve given Capriotti’s many chances, from their different locations and different subs, and Casapulla’s is just better.

Been eating these since introduced in the early 90s. Quality is always superb. These guys put a great twist on a local classic and cannot be beat. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself today.

While this is technically a chain, it’s still a local business to the Wilmington area, and a delicious one at that. I have been coming for years, and whenever I come back to the area to visit the parents, I always stop by. The Bobbi is a amazing and so is the Capastrami. Those are favorites. But if you’re looking for something basic the Turkey as well as the Ham and Cheese are still just as edible. And I mean that in the sense that I am NOT sharing. The service can be somewhat timid sometimes, but always friendly and helpful. Love this place. They also have vegetarian options and outdoor seating.

Capriotti’s is a DE staple. I don’t go to any other sub or hoagie shop when I’m back home. Italian and the Cheesesteak with Mushrooms is the way to go. Hometown pride is put into everything they make. If you’re in DE at all, be sure to make time for a Bobbie or a cheesesteak.

Hands down the best sandwiches I ever ate. I had a crucial addiction this place when I lived in Delaware. Fresh bread. Real, shredded turkey breast — not processed deli meat. Well-constructed subs with quality ingredients.
