Total fraud depicting themselves as Hoboken Lock & Supply. This is NOT a Hoboken company and they will tell you $ 65.00 and up however once the guy shows up 2 hours late he will charge you up to $ 500.00. I helped an elderly neighbor out and I’m so upset about how I got him involved with these frauds. The locksmith almost locked my elderly neighbor out on the street because he refused to pay the inflated price. Insanely horrible and I will do whatever it takes to make sure other people do not have to deal with these criminals.

DONOTUSETHISPLACEIFYOU’RELOCKEDOUT. They WILL take you to the cleaners! (BTW, this place is also the same business as Jersey City Locksmith in Jersey City. Cannot be trusted. I don’t even think they have an office in Hoboken, it’s all a front.) They first told me over the phone it was $ 39 for the locksmith to come out and an additional $ 65 – 75 to open the door. Okay. Done deal. The technician arrives 30 minutes later and asks me if I’m in a rush.(Strange question.) I said yes that I have people coming and need the door opened soon. He then tells me it is $ 179 on top of the $ 39. WTF?! I told him, his office said it was $ 65 – 75 on top of the $ 39. I asked him to explain to me why it would cost more. He said it’s a commercial building. I said they already knew that when I called. He then says it’s a special lock, I said it’s a standard home lock, btw, this is a residential building. He had no answer couldn’t look me in the eye and said that it’s $ 179 to open the door, take it or leave it. I’m in a bind, so I bite the corrupt bullet. He first tried to pick the lock… he looked like he was going through the motions, not really knowing what he’s doing. I’ve seen a locksmith pick a car trunk lock and a home lock, this guy had no idea what he’s doing. Then he says he’s got to drill the lock. He said 10 – 15 minutes. It took him 45 minutes to get through one simple deadbolt lock and another 15 minutes for the doorknob which I’ve used a credit card to get in before. After he’s done, he ADDSONANOTHER $ 45 saying that to open up the bottom door knob he has to charge extra.(I’ve opened it before with a gift card) At this point, I’m pretty angry, but keep my cool. He then hands me the bill which he adds tax and the total is $ 280, but then slips in, «IF you pay me in CASH, I’ll waive the $ 50 and charge you $ 230 for the whole deal.» So the technician, the company rep, NOONE can tell me how their pricing structure works. It’s all based on your desperation when you’re locked out. What a corrupt company and technician. I was taken to the cleaners, don’t be the next victim. BTW, this is the same place as Jersey City Locksmith in Jersey City. Don’t even think they have a storefront in Hoboken.
