Victoria is one of the best hair stylists I’ve ever been to. She cut my hair so well and very patiently. She’s polite and soft spoken which I liked about her. My hair looked beautiful after she was done with it. She even showed me how she styled my hair so I could try it myself.
The salon itself is pretty clean. Nice music and a chill atmosphere. The only reason for taking one star away from them is that I didn’t like the hair products that were used on my hair. Made my hair feel dry.

My once orange hair was transformed to beautiful and healthy by my amazing stylist, Davida who has since cut, colored, and done a Keratin treatment.
The people are so nice and I love the atmosphere. I can’t believe how far my hair has come! Thank you so much Davida and the team at Sole Salon for giving me life again!

I found Davida!!! I was so upset after Davida’s Grand St salon closed and was thrilled to find out she joined Sole. This was my first time covering my grey and Davida did an unbelievable job on both my cut and double process color. I went in with a very vague idea of what I was looking for and Davida was somehow able to translate that into exactly the look I was hoping for. The price was a bit steeper than I expected, but I have never had 2 processes and a cut in one sitting– so hard for me to compare. I would highly recommend to others.

I walked-​in to Sole Salon today and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who said I could have my haircut right away. I sat in Davida’s chair-​for the initial consultation. I showed her a few photos and then was off to shampoo. The shampoo chairs massage while the assistant works. Then back to Davida’s chair where she gave me a fantastic cut-​all the while she talked me through her approach and why she was doing what she was doing. She did an awesome job. My hair hasn’t looked this good in a long time. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you Davida!

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience here! It is a great atmosphere. I’ve had several hair cuts and blow outs with Victoria and color with Davida! They are very talented, friendly and use great quality products! I am the daughter of a hair dresser so I’m a tough critic and I really love Sole!

I’ve been spoiled most of my life when it comes to hair. My best friends are hairdressers. But they are down the shore and I just moved up here and had nowhere to go. I took my friend’s recommendation and made an appt for an updo and makeup w Davida. What a talented young lady! I’m so excited that I found a great place up here. The girls are warm and the salon is really cute. I will definitely be a regular!

Went in for the first time for a trim and blow dry and was very impressed. Very welcoming salon and Davida was amazing. Receptive to my questions, accommodating. Very happy with the cut. Already booked for color.

I stumbled upon Sole Salon by chance and so glad I did. The salon is spacious, airy and has a cool vibe.
I instantly liked my stylist Davida — she was patient, knowledgeable and over all a really nice person to work with. The single process with a blow out is for $ 80 and a gloss is $ 30.
The finished product (my hair!) looked fantastic in the end. The only reason this is not a five star review is because I wasn’t too happy with the color pay off — I might try a different brand next time to see if it works better for my hair type.
I definitely plan to go back & try the other services.

I don’t have one negative thing to say. I came in as a walk-​in and was attended to almost instantly… I was given a consultation and enjoyed the experience from beginning to end. My hair came out exactly as I described and I couldn’t be happier. This is a quality hair salon and I would recommend it to anyone that needs an excellent hair salon. Devita was my hair dresser and she was phenomenal. Already prebooked my next appointment and looking forward to it!

Since moving to Hoboken a couple years ago I had anxiety about finding a new stylist for my long, thick, and crazy curly hair! Then I found Victoria!!! When I am in her chair I never ever worry! Being a curly girl herself, she knows exactly how to style, color and work with the craziness. I am always 100% pleased with her color, cut and styling. Then just to add a cherry on top she is professional, sweet, and takes extreme pride in her work. I have recommended her to many, she is a gift to all Hoboken curly girls!!!

As per their phone message they open at 11am. I wanted to book an appointment but no one answered. I thought I’ll just walk in and see if they have availability, only to find that it was shut! And this was at noon! I don’t get how a store can’t follow their hours. Will not be coming back here.

The service is extraordinary at this salon. People are friendly and warm-​hearted. My one and only hairdresser is Victoria. Man, she’s a very professional girl. She know what she’s doing and she always gives me tips on how to take care of my hair especially that I have a lot of hair on me. She never talks to me into buying products or forces them on me. She asks before using any and she tells me their benefits. She’s very sweet and all smiley. She’s been styling my hair for quite a while now. Also, very reasonable prices compared to a hair salon in Hoboken.

This salon has the best customer service, my hair is absolutely the best it has ever looked it’s always what I have wanted just didn’t know how to explain it somehow they just knew and gave the best style for me. Love this Salon I highly recommend Marcello he is a true artist !

Almost walked into the wrong place because the Unilocal reviews I looked at were for their previous location at 1212 Washington Street. Doh!
I was due for a haircut (I try to go every six weeks) and I made an appointment to try out this place for 3:00 today (¹²⁄₁₁). I got there about 20 minutes late, but they were very pleasant and assured me it was no problem. They even offered me coffee.
I really want to know where they bought their chairs for the hair-​washing sinks. Not only do they contour to fit your body, but they also massage your back, legs, and arms while the stylist washes your hair. It felt awesome.
My stylist was friendly and quick (I think her name was Belize… I really hope I’m spelling her name correctly)…although I think she chopped off a bit more than I asked for (I wanted about a half-​inch trim all around, and it looks more like she took an inch off). But no worries, because it was a clean job, and because I’ve been taking better care of my hair with regular maintenance, I’m sure my hair will grow back soon enough. I did ask Belize what I should do if I wanted my hair to grow back faster, and she recommended taking biotin supplements. This surprised me, because usually hair salons will hawk whatever products they have if you ask them questions about how to get your hair to look a specific way. This was a refreshing change.
Total price was exactly what was advertised on their board: $ 80. I gave Belize a $ 5 tip (is that too cheap? I’m not good at figuring out tips) and scheduled a follow-​up appointment six weeks from now (01÷22÷14). I found out they do keratin treatments as well, which is awesome, because I’ll be due for another treatment come April. The next time I go, though, I’ll bring a ruler. :-)

Allie is the best! She does my color and cut and did an amazing job on my wedding party’s hair! I would definitely recommend her:)
