Celeste is amazing! After my hair stylist moved away, I bounced from salon to salon and was never fully satisfied with my cut. After a coworker suggested Celeste, I gave Salon Phoenix a go and I haven’t turned back. Salon Phoenix is a warm and inviting salon and the staff are all equally talented. I’d absolutely recommend this salon and Celeste to anyone!

I moved to Hoboken about a year ago and was nervous to find a new salon. I loved DePasquale in Morris Plains but it’s too inconvenient to get to now. I heard about Salon Phoenix on Monroe from a friend and decided to try it out in March 2016. I had an appointment with Monica for a cut and hair painting — a little pricey from what I’m used to but first-​timers get 15% off.
My rating doesn’t reflect the talent or vibe of the salon. It’s strictly based on if I would go back — and the answer is no. I absolutely loved the décor of the salon. Very cute and relaxing. There’s only 3 chairs in the salon so it was cozy and personable. I love the «no kids» rule; let’s face it no one wants to hear children while their getting pampered. Monica was very sweet and we carried a natural conversation the whole time. The cut was great!
Frankly I didn’t like the product they used to color my hair. The technique doesn’t involve saran wrap but rather dries up on your head. It was flaking a little but no biggie. I HATED the way it dried out my hair in the following weeks. It felt brittle even after deep conditioning it. This is really the only reason I wouldn’t go back. I wish they would change the product because everything else was great.

Celeste is a master. There is no way you will walk out disappointed. She made me feel so good and did a great job. I got a cut and express balayage. Very happy with both, I feel like a new person!

I would highly recommend salon Phoenix for your next hair cut, style or color. It’s a little hard to find but it’s a warm inviting place with beautiful décor. The staff are friendly and warm and very helpful especially if you’re like me (no clue as to what I wanted except for a drastic change). Amy took me in for a free color consultation and helped me decide on what color would look good on me. I booked a full balayage with glaze and an opoplex treatment to condition my hair. Amy was very good and thorough and I loved the end result. Five stars for the amazing treatment, hair style and color and results.

Celeste is the best! I have spent years trying to find a hairdresser who understands my ideas/​visions, and she executes them flawlessly and brings them to life. I always love the work she does and I receive so many compliments on my hair cut and color that I began referring my friends and co-​workers to her. She is so talented and thoroughly enjoys what she does, and it shows in her work. I love how she walks her clients through the cut and color process so that we feel comfortable and understand each step along the way. I always love the end result and leave with a big smile on my face :) The salon is rustic and beautiful and her team (Monica and Amy) are also amazing. I always look forward to my next visit!

The owner is great, as is the atmosphere! I just got a haircut and blow dry, but Celeste took the time to look at my hair and ask me question. I will definitely be returning!

I had my hair done a month ago by Celeste (the owner) and still get compliments on my hair! I was long overdue with a cut and had old ombré highlights. Celeste helped me choose a richer color that was darker than I would normally go. My hair is still shines, I highly recommend trying this place!

Celeste and her team are fantastic. Super friendly and knowledgable about their business. I’ve done a blow dry, makeup consultation, and cut with Salon Phoenix and have been thrilled with the results. I will be coming back.

Celeste is the best! Really chill space, with lots of natural light and quiet atmosphere. Had my hair cut, highlighted and conditioned for a nice competitive price. Will def go back!

Tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! Celeste truly cares about her clients and did a great job with this venue. She is very personable, honest and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be coming back here!

Love this place! Awesome very modern interior design, very friendly staff, great products they use on my hair and the most important thing is they always make my hair look amazing. Doesn’t matter if it’s cut or color or blow dry, everything they do looks perfect! HIGHLY RECOMMEND…

I got my haircut here for the 1^st time last night. Celeste is a true artist, really cares about what she does and her clients. She thoroughly looked through my hair, asked me questions, took the time to talk to me. She gave me one of the best cuts I’ve ever had.
Plus she is extremely reasonably priced. Salon is very cute too.

I can only reiterate what the other reviews have stated. Celeste and her staff are all warm, friendly and professional, from making the appointment to walking through the door. I have never had any stylist spend so much time looking at and talking about my hair color and style before having it washed and cut. Celeste is also the first stylist to get my bangs right! I don’t typically give 5 stars for a review but, there really is nothing to improve, in my opinion. Salon Phoenix is a wonderful addition to The Monroe Center and the Community. I encourage you to make an appointment, they will not disappoint!

Such a nice place. All staff is super friendly. My stylist was Amy and she did an awesome job. She was super professional and brought my tired mane back to life. So happy with my highlights and cut. She also gave me the best blowout! Also, in a town where trying to find parking can help you waste the better half of your day, the salon conveniently has parking. Can’t wait for my next visit with Amy!

I visited the salon for the first time this past Friday and really liked it. My stylist, Amy, is a professional and truly knows what she’s doing. And on top of it, she’s super personable. so seeing her is a pleasure in and of itself! The owner, Celeste, introduced herself not only to me, but my thirteen year old daughter too who was across the room. I thought that was extremely considerate of her and it showed the type of person she is. The other staff members there (I can’t remember their names) were also very nice and friendly. The salon is gorgeous and has a relaxing vibe and the staff compliments that vibe perfectly. I can’t wait to go back in a few weeks for a Brazilian blow out!

Great new salon in midtown Hoboken. The owner Celeste has done a fantastic job with creating a relaxing space that has a rustic über chic charm.
My stylist for the evening was Sasha and she did a super job on my single process and blow out. They were able to accommodate me at short notice and I left looking and feeling refreshed.
Sasha was easy to work with and everyone else I spoke to at the salon was really nice and friendly. Honestly, I don’t have the patience for snobby stylists and that’s something that really puts me off! None of that here… the folks are thorough professionals and nice to be around.
While all the other products they use at the salon (shampoo etc.,) are organic, the hair color they use is Wella. I’m happy with the way my hair looks and feels and the blowout Sasha gave me has held up well after 24 hours.
Single process is $ 65 and a blowout is an additional $ 30 — it would be great if the blow out was included as part of the color treatment.
First timers get 15% off.

I had a truly enjoyable experience both times I visited Phoenix Salon. Celeste gave me a beautiful hair cut and took her time. I didn’t feel rushed at all! Unlike most other salons I’ve been to. I went back to Celeste a second time for glaze/​highlights and I was so pleasantly surprised at just how much I LOVED it!!! Again Celeste took her time and was extremely detailed during the coloring process. The salon has a very cool relaxed feel to it and the staff makes it even better! I highly recommend trying you won’t be disappointed.

If you are looking for a great and experienced hair stylist and colorist, look no further! Celeste at Salon Phoenix is fabulous. Her consultations are honest and intelligent. The space at Salon Phoenix is lovely and inviting. And making appointments online is super easy! Love it!

I finally found an amazing place to get my hair done!!! Celeste is a consummate professional. She is passionate about her trade and her coloring technique is perfection! This salon is the new gem of Hoboken! Every detail in this beautiful space was well thought out! I can’t wait to spread the news about Salon Phoenix!
