If you are looking to start an art collection, this is a good place to go. There are monthly art openings with a great variety of art styles. If you just want to look and learn, this is also the place to be. Usually, there is an artist’s talk on a Sunday afternoon where you can ask questions of the artist and hear about their technique and inspiration. No need to go to New York! A plus, there is free parking in the rear of the building. Another plus, there will be wine!

The hob’art gallery is a great place to visit, see some free art and meet some very nice folks. They have monthly art shows which start off with a reception(free food, drink and often music), where you can look at the art and meet the members. These are usually early on a Saturday night, so its a great way to start your evening. In addition, they have gallery talks, classes and even the occasional film, which are either free or rather cheap. It’s really a great asset to the town and its people.
