Stay very far away from this business they are very incompetent they will tell you that they’re capable of taking care of leather work for bikers they definitely are not. not only can they not handle a simple patch placement on a vest but when you are unhappy with their service they will refuse to stand behind it and then tell you you are rude when you inform them that you are going to give them a poor review. I could not be more disappointed with this business. If you are looking for quality alteration service take your business elsewhere if you’re looking for incompetence and excuses you found it right here at sewing by Judy’s. This experience not only cost me $ 14 but also completely ruined a brand new leather vest

Took my bridesmaid dress in to get fitted and they are going to work with me. I will update when I get the dress and the fitting.
They seemed nice and professional.
After finishing fittings.
The dress fit alright and it held up! A few treads where showing in some of the seems but nothing to big. They made my friends wedding as I did not think I could wear the dress other wise.
Side note, I felt like the price was justified. I brought materials and they made it fit!

The women that work here know what they are doing. Very helpful, and good under pressure. If they are uncomfortable performing a job they will let you know instead of trying, and ruining a product. With that being said there’s not much they can’t do!

For Christmas, I planned to have a drawing my boyfriend had done embroidered on to a polo shirt for him. I had located a person who was going to do the work but at the last minute they said their machine couldn’t handle the job. It was right around the holidays and less than two weeks from when I was planning to give the shirt as a gift. I contacted several Chicago and NW Indiana shops and all said they either wouldn’t do the work at all or didn’t have the time but not Sewing By Judy! They saved the day!
I had emailed Judy initially and she said she’d be able to the job based on the design I sent over to her. She quoted me a very reasonable rate to the have the embroidery pattern made and then just $ 5.00 per item to have it embroidered on to (it was a pocket design on a polo shirt). The best part is that should I ever need anything else printed, they are keeping the design on file so in the future, I’d only have to pay for the embroidery work (which, as you can see, is VERY reasonably priced).
Judy and her team were incredibly helpful, friendly and fast in getting everything prepared and ready to go. On top of that, they delivered EXCELLENT quality work two days before I had said I would need the job to be done.
