Like another reviewer noted, the mosquitoes can be quite annoying but it does get better once fall months start approaching. I absolutely love this park and all it has to offer, from the beautiful gazebo to the nice views of the river, all while perusing/exploring that mill or whatever it happens to be. Overall, it was very tranquil, very serene and I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again when in the area!

Okay, so my family and I have a soft spot for this place as we’ve been coming to the Grinder’s vintage baseball games for years. I now play for the team, so we enjoy coming here often. My wife tends to love anything historic, so put her in an old building and she’ll ooh and ahh over everything down to the doorknobs and hinges. People like to take pictures here, which we’ve done for Christmas cards… But watch coming on Thursday nights, as that’s when the baseball team practices out in the field! But come watch the practice, that’s cool. :-)

Great place to get out and be with nature, and my dogs. Always enjoy time with my son sharing nature with him.

One of the more beautiful parks in the area. Great for pics or just taking a quick easy hike. And its wright in your own backyard

A very nice, secluded park used for sighthound field trials. The mosquitos were horrible in the past but a recent trip was quite different. The grass length was good and things were clean.

They also have a tour of how maple syrup is made from the trees and then you can buy some after. It’s pretty cool.

Another of my old jobs, Deep River County Park is a great, hidden park in Northwest Indiana. Great programming for both kids and adults, and beautiful trails. If you care to learn the history of, well, the making of cornmeal you’ll get a kick out of it too :)
