The theater is older and has some character. Rocky is always fun, and I’ve been glad they’ve kept it up throughout the years. Definitely worth experiencing

Ok so I am giving this review of Rocky only 3 stars even though the cast is great… And the theater house is good. I have been to Rocky, been in 5 casts of Rocky, and while there is the classic things to say and do during the show, sometimes too much is too much. The guy that was non stop saying things to every line at the end of the show was part of the crew… he just didn’t stop saying things that just didn’t make sense. As a veteran of RHPS, I think it’s awesome this is still alive, but hopefully that guy can shit his mouth long enough next time, otherwise, good job guys!!! Good job!

1940s vintage theater house that has never stopped showing movies. Classic look, full size screen and vintage concession stand. This is the theater where I saw Star Wars and Blues Brothers. I have a dim memory of attending a movie here in the late 70s and seeing a documentary short, newsreel an cartoon before the feature.

I love this theater. I enjoy going here even if I don’t like the movie they’re showing. The staff is nice, ticket prices are reasonable, and it’s just a nice little local business that you can feel good about supporting.

I went to see Rocky Horror Saturday, 29 September), and I didn’t appreciate being felt up by some dude before going in. I’m not sure what they were after as it seemed more like the dude just needed to feel everybody up some. If I had my gun on me or a flask of alcohol, he wouldn’t have felt it judging by where he did his groping. I wouldn’t have even bought the ticket if I had seen them doing that to others. Later while sitting in my seat during the show, my knees were pushed slightly against the seat in front of me in a row where there were no people sitting. A fat curly haired woman who was part of the show came over and told me to not touch my knees to the back of the seat. Really? What is the reason for her need to power trip like this? Keep in mind that this is in a show where audience members were encouraged to throw rice, bread, water, toilet paper and whatever else while shouting. I suppose the whole experience would have been more enjoyable if I had been under the influence of whatever the people there were on. One particularly hyper fellow from the show came over and asked me if I had taken any meth before the show. Maybe that is what I was missing.

While I’m pretty sure Green River is no longer available, the fond memories remain. This is pretty much the epitome of a small town movie theater: cheap admission, cheap concessions and a charmingly old interior. I would prefer the sticky floors be mopped a tad more frequently but no real complaints. I suppose that’s part of the charm. You know the annoying«turn off your cell phone» commercial things that show before the movie? They still use some that have to date back to before I was born. Love it.

Now, I used to work here eons ago… in fact, it was my first job! On my last trip, I was so happy to see ROCKYHORRORPICTURESHOW performed. Glad for two reasons: –A complete change to the old theatre –A breath of fresh air in Hobart Th Art will always remain a great old movie house that you can still afford to bring your family to.

I love small town movie theaters and for $ 3.00 a movie, it’s really great. They usually play recent movies that are still playing at the big theatres but for a whole lot less.
