Waited for over 2 hours to get my tires rotated, even after I had made an appointment. I came here because of the free rotations you get when you purchase tires. I’m hoping that they are just having a REALLY bad day. Probably won’t chance coming back here again though, even though my Candy Crushing abilities have vastly improved, I’ll go to my regular place, Quality Tire Pros.

A couple weeks ago my car was pulling to one side… figuring I needed an alignment, I rolled into this NTB during my lunch break. I had received some good help from this location before, so I figured they’d be able to handle this. Imagine my surprise, when a few minutes later, I’m brought out to my inspect my four-month old tires on the front of my car. They were worn down to the steel belts. The car was *way* out of alignment and I needed two new tires for the front of the car. Perfect. So far, none of this is NTB’s fault… but here’s where my complaint comes in. The store has one tire in stock. I need to replace both front tires. I have one replaced and I am promised that the other tire will be transferred from the other Chattanooga area store and will arrive at this location«around 6 pm». I leave and come back around 6:15 and am told the tire isn’t here yet, but that the guy bringing it has left and is on his way. They keep telling me this same story over the next hour and a half. Finally, out of frustration, I call the other location on my cell phone. The guy who picks up the phone says«Yeah, I’m the guy who’s supposed to bring the tire over… I was just on my way when I heard the phone ring». I was a little stunned by that. The staff at this location have been lying to me for the past 90 minutes? They told me three times that the tire had *already* left and was on it’s way(which, by the way, according to Google is a 20 minute trip). I confronted the«manager» who had kept telling me that tire was on it’s way. His response«Oh, that’s not my fault… I guess they got busy». I was really taken aback at that flippant statement. Not to mention a little pissed off. I called the 1 – 800 Customer Service Hotline and left a complaint. By the time I was done with the phone rep, the tire arrived and was put on. I kind of expected a response with a couple of days. A week later, i call the 1 – 800 number where I am told NTB takes 48 business hours(roughly six days) to respond to a complaint via the 1 – 800 number. SIXDAYS!!! Seriously??? How hard is it to pick up the phone and apologize? I finally did get the call from a manager. I was offered two free oil changes for my troubles. Whoop-de-doo. I’ll go back to get my oil changes, then I’m finding someplace new to take my car to for service. NTB does get +1 star because the TECHNICIANS do a good job. The customer service people behind the counter seriously need a course in customer service skills, as they don’t have any.
