Jarrett and Charlie have been great instructors as my skate classes continue.(Today — there was another young man assisting Jarrett and he was great as well.) I’m there early so that may be why I haven’t experienced the rude, boisterous crowds others commented on. And getting there early — its pretty cool to see the staff doing prep /maintenence stuff. And it’s clear that they have a rapport and get along well with another. I only mention it because a happy workplace tends to lend itself towards happy employees and happy employees are friendly and helpful — thereby effecting happy customers. I haven’t had even one occasion where an employee didn’t make eye contact, smile and say hello. It really is refreshing to be around so many friendly, energetic folks. I found the facility clean and well kept. The skates look like prison issue skates — but I think that’s typical at any rink. I’ve never had the food — so I can’t comment on that. I did play laser tag here years ago and it was a lot of fun — much more fun than I’d expected. So those are the pros. .. on to the cons — Another Unilocaler mentioned the fact that you have to make a u turn to get to them — that’s true — and it’s amazing how long you sometimes have to wait to turn around but that’s really not Sparkles fault. So this isn’t truly a ‘con’ — just pointing it out to first-timers who might be trying to find the place. The 1-shoe thing is annoying. I don’t carry cash or coins — so because they only take one shoe — unless you have change for the locker — you have to leave one sad, lonely shoe sitting under a random bench. Even if you dont mind leaving your shoe lying around — you might still want a locker though. I forgot coins again today so I had to hobble back outside and stash my purse and phone in the trunk of my car — so ladies — remember your coins. The music can be hit or miss. I have pretty eclectic taste in music — from 50s classic, R&B, etc to bluegrass and zydeco. But just because I like a certain kind of music doesn’t mean it makes for good skate music. Unlike some people — i really don’t mind any risqué lyrics — but if the music is rhythmically ‘challenging’ like metal — i find it harder to skate. Keep in mind — im a beginner — so the right music — something with a rhetorical baseline — serves as a metronome for me. I was really getting it together when Ceelo Green’s ‘Maybe I’m Crazy’ was playing. I was killin it when Meghan Trainor’s ‘All About that Bass’ started up. But during the Guns N Roses song — I was slipping, and jerking all over the place. Lmbo. Less head banger and metal would be my preference but im sure others love it — so this isn’t really a ‘con’ either. The only other thing I wish they would do is provide ‘skate gates’ or trainers(or whatever you call those PVC pipe looking things) for adults. They have them for children — so these are, of course height appropriate for children aka SHORT. I used one today during my lesson and now my back is killing me from being all humped over using that thing. I’m not suggesting they spend money on dozens of them but at least one(for the random, occasional adult learner) would be so helpful. Thats all folks! Love this place. Definitely a fan. Thanks again to Charlie and Jarrett — I will soon be crossing one more item off my bucket list. Next up — learning to swim and learning to speak French fluently!

My daughter and her friends love to come here and hang out. I feel ok about leaving her and knowing she has lots to entertain her as she hangs out. Lots of good incentives as well.

My 3 star review is based on the opinions of my children, and myself. If only I were to rate this place, I would give it 2 stars. It looks nice, but it needs updating. My children would give this place 5 stars because they have so much fun. Sparkles has an indoor playground that is only for children age 10 and younger. That was a disappointment to my 11 year old son who still loves to play in that area. My son, and my 6 year old daughter really love the laser tag! The arcade games take tokens, and the games give you tickets when you play that can be redeemed for prizes. What can I say about the skating rink? Well, lets see… There needs to be a separate area for those who are learning to skate. The beginners run the risk of being run over by the expert skaters. I guess it could be said that the marked oval/rectangle in the middle of the skating rink could be used for the beginners, but that was also taken up by the experts who were doing skating tricks. They play all of the latest music, along with a few oldies mixed in. I feel that the music is a fair mix to please the entire family. Sparkles also has a concession area. I’ve only had the pizza which is a hit or miss. They also have reserved areas for parties, and free Wi-Fi. The employees there are friendly, and appear to be a little young(high school/college age) yet they work hard to make everything safe and enjoyable for everyone.

We love coming here!!! I always choose this one because of the wooden skate floor vs concrete! Exactly what I remember skating on as a kid-and what I enjoy sharing with my kids!!! Even when I’m not skating I enjoy watching some of the regulars doing little routines on the floor! DJs play great music and add in games through out the day! My kids enjoy the playground and the laser tag also!!! So much fun under one roof!!!

Our girls really do love going here to skate. I love that there are plenty of things for her to do there(laser tag, skating and the awesome playground). There are lots of food options in the snack bar(chicken fingers, hot dogs, hamburgers ect) not just popcorn. I was surprised to see that they offer alcohol too. The music always seems to be balanced with a little old school, little hip music and other stuff that I don’t recognize. I have never heard lyrics that should be censored. The birthday parties seem fun and well organized. Love the free passes on

This skating rink upon first glance looks nice and family friendly but in all reality it’s not. If you have younger children unless just to play on the playground and with laser tag please do not take them!!! Even during«family time », there are careless men, and women. Ranging from 10 to about 60 that will knock pretty much anything over in their page by trying to look cool and skating backwards!!! Usually they have horrible music. When it’s family night they either play Disney music for an hour and then revert to rap music or they don’t play family music at all. The music largely consists of rap and r and b with obscene lyrics that no mother should wish for their children to hear.

My kids absolutely love this place! My son will spend hours in the HUGE, indoor playground they have and come out seconds at a time to get a drink, and then back off into the playground! So far all the playground attendants have been so nice to the children(including mine), play games with them throughout the day, and make sure everyone is having fun safely. My wife and I love skating during the Cosmic Skates! It’s a whole new experience skating in black lights and laser lights skimming across the air, floor, and walls! Music is pretty good as well. The two-story laser tag arena by far is my FAVORITE attraction! Fog, music, lasers, strobes, plenty of places to hid and ambush other players… this arena is AWESOME! Only $ 4 bucks a game also, I remember Six Flags being $ 12 a game and that was 8 years ago!
