Hiram Bottle Shop

I think this place rates up there… we can always give a four star, but why? The prices here are very reasonable (go down to Marietta and see the difference just fifteen minutes away!). He’s well stocked… and, he will order anything for you if you want a case… or if he’s had it before and it’s in the system, he will order it anyway. I find the staff to be very personable and have never had a problem with any of them. If they don’t know the answer, they will find out! There used to be a woman who worked there who was VERY rude/​unpleasant but SHE IS GONE and has been for a long while! :)

This place is okay. I found out there was another liquor store just right down the streets, and the reviews are much better so I will probably checking that out for New Years. If you read the other reviews there is talk about a lady behind the counter who is very unfriendly. This is true, but she is not as bad as most other users make her out to be, and I’m pretty sure one of the older guys that works there, who I believe to be the manager, was hitting on me… yeah…did not enjoy that experience and was thankful to God when I left. There is this older lady though that works there and stocks things. Every time I come in, even if I don’t see her, she calls me out and says hey, gives me a hug. I kinda feel bad because I don’t even know her name. I came in here one time because I wanted to get something for my cousin who was in town and didn’t know what he wanted, but I knew I wanted it to be good, but not strong. She turned me onto something called Khula, and I ended up loving it so much I bought myself a full sized one the next time I went there. There is some lack of variety here, and I’m looking forward to going to the other store, will make sure I write a review for that place as well, but all and all this place is not terrible, prices are reasonable, and despite the staff I will be back again.

The cashier or owner was an idiot and very unpleasant, so were the other workers and they were not helpful at all, will not be going back!

It’s sad to say nothing is wrong with the store except the lady working behind the counter. She has to be the most miserable person ever. I will never spend another dollar with them.

I don’t see why the other 2 reviews gave these guys three stars. In the netherworld that is Hiram they totally deserve 4.
I’ll concede the point that they’re beer selection isn’t as extensive as Highland Beverage but they have a really good selection of entry level craft beer six packs and a really good selection of whiskeys and bourbons. Yeah, they’re not Green’s but they’re not a ghetto pint shot either. These guys no their stuff and are always really helpful and always have solid beers in stock. The only times i’ve ever walked out of there without buying something are when i’m on a mission for something really specific.
If your in Hiram and are looking for something quick but good for a party or cook out check them out, you won’t be disappointed but if your looking for a major craft beer selection drive a little further and go to highland.

The battle for best liquor store in PC is between this and Highland Beverage. Highland’s microbrew selection blows the Bottle Shop away, but as the Bottle Shop is 3 miles closer, it is my goto store. If the two stores were the same distance, i’d pick Highland if i were a microbrew fan such as myself.

Way far away from the World, this isn’t a bad package store. It’s got a big parking lot outside with plenty of spaces. Inside it’s big too, but there’s not a lot of stock, so the shelves are set way far apart to try and fill the dead space between. Average stock of liquors, decent selection of craft beers, but not what I’d hope for. Still, not too bad for so far away from Atlanta.
