Made my 2nd visit to Anderson’s today while on a ride. I had another double bacon cheese burger, the same thing I had on my first visit. The first time I asked for no tomatoes, they put tomatoes on it anyway, I didn’t care because it was so good. Today she asked me what I wanted and I said pickles, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo & mustard. I had nothing but meat and cheese. But this time, while it was tasty, the meat was taken off the flat top too early because it was missing that great crust. So unfortunately I had to down grade their rating to only 3 stars. I still recommend this place though and will not give up on them yet. Finding out Prince passed away while eating didn’t help my mood either.

This review is for the restaurant inside of the propane shop.(Really. I just wrote that on purpose.) Next to horse feed and across from the desks of a few guys handing propane dealings, there are several large tables, with friendly regulars. My Mom and I met my dad for lunch on a Friday, and which is fish day. Perfectly fried, not at all greasy, served with homemade tarter sauce, a big slice of jalapeño corn bread, slaw, a baked potato and brown beans, it is very good, and very splittable. Dad got a grilled cheese, but he said the hamburgers are really delicious and huge. Dad, an onion ring aficionado, puts Anderson’s onion rings in his top 3 of all time, and although I don’t have nearly his credentials to weigh in, I agree that they are worth every extra calorie. On that note, the pie. Oh, the pie. They had a chocolate cream and a coconut cream pie, and we ordered both. Do that. Eat a bite of both and experience the best almond joy in the world. I was really looking forward to going Anderson’s because after years of watching King of the Hill, I imagine propane shops to be a little like heaven. Hank did not mislead me. This place is great!
