The 7 of us pulled into a completely empty parking lot(on Labor Day weekend). We were looking forward to the potential of having a more intimate tasting since we were the only customers. The woman working asked us if we had a reservation(we did not) We felt like we were not only not welcome but she said she didn’t think she could do a tasting for us because she was waiting on a large party. I’ve been coming to the Finger Lakes at least once a year for the past three years and I’ve never been turned away or given a difficult time at a winery. Every winery is ALWAYS accommodating. No matter how busy they are, if you show up at the exact time they close, ect. It was quarter to 2 in the afternoon and the parking lot was literally empty. If I were the owner, I would be embarrassed. This was my second time at this winery, and I can’t say my other experience was positive either. I would never recommend this winery to anyone. I’m kicking myself for even buying a bottle while I was there.

I went to 22 wineries the other weekend in the Finger Lakes. After that many wineries only the best and the worst stand out. This one was. The. Worst. Most wineries we went to were very helpful in allowing us to drink more than our 5 or 6 allotted tastes, giving us an extra sip of something we wanted to try again or something different we were interested in. After all, most people aren’t about to buy a bottle of wine they haven’t tasted yet. This winery would absolutely not let us try anything off the tasting menu, which was a disappointment as I was really interested in a few of the«other» wines. Additionally, the customer service in general was awful. The woman pouring was rude, reached across my entire family to pour in our glasses, and offered no information about the wine. Finally, when you’re out in the Finger Lakes hitting up so many wineries, it’s nice to share tastings with your significant other. At this point I wasn’t interested in drinking wine, just tasting. This winery was the only one of all the wineries I went to that does NOT allow sharing of tastings. It’s not like they pour more for a party that shares, so I don’t know what their deal was, other than to ensure I will never go back to this winery again! Organic or not, if you want me to like you, you have to first not suck at customer service.

As far as I know, this is the only organic winery in the fingerlakes. Not only that, they make extremely delicious wine and are incredibly friendly. We stopped in on a recent birthday wine tour, and spent about 45 minutes tasting wines and chit chatting with the attractive women who were serving us. I would highly recommend this place.
