South Carolina Yacht Club

Went for a private corporate event. Bartenders were clueless on how to make basic drinks (Manhattan, etc.). Food was terrible. Severely undercooked meat, runny Mac and cheese. Only reason they get one star is that the views are pretty cool. Otherwise, save yourself some time and find something else better. Should be pretty easy to do. This place is awful!

I was in town for business and was taken to the South Carolina Yacht Club for an amazing waterside dinner on a balmy fall evening. The chef was able to accommodate my dietary restrictions (I’m a vegan) and made me some of the best tofu I’ve ever eaten. Service was fantastic and I enjoyed every moment I spent at this great club.

Check out Gabriella’s famous salad special everyday, most definitely one of my faves. Chef Debbie has his finger on the pulse and comes up with innovative menus that are just outstanding. I’m just waiting for the day when he is invited to be on one of the Chef competition shows! Whenever we have family or friends come and for a visit, we always make sure to take them to the club. Whether it’s Sunday brunch, lunch or dinner, or cocktails at happy hour, the SCYC his the target 100% of the time!

The SCYC is a welcoming yacht club located in the heart of beautiful Windmill Harbour. The club boasts themed rooms for dining and gatherings but the views from the outside veranda are by far the best. Nothing can beat sharing drinks and laughs while watching the sunset as boats return from their day on the water.
The culinary team performs magic in the kitchen and the wait staff are all outstanding. The daily salad selection is a club favorite, it’s always inventive and almost always sells out! Each Sunday evening, chef Kevin offers tapas theme nights. It’s a great way to taste all of his creative dishes. We’ve enjoyed many meals here and one is just better than the next. Here’s a tip: save room for dessert, the pastry chef is phenomenal!

The South Carolina Yacht Club has it exactly right. The best view — right on the water — to sit and watch the sunset with a glass of wine or enjoy the company of friends and family. The food is excellent, the staff and service is perfect… from start to finish exactly what you expect from a first class Yacht Club.

I have been to the club for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is amazing. From the eggs Benedict, burgers and fillets.
