There is not much of different selection and pricing from the other tshirt store next to the restaurant. If you are going to eat, then go to the other tshirt store near the restaurant.

~ Who Doesn’t Love a Salty Dog T-​Shirt? ~
The decision is where to buy it:
1. Arrow Rd– I love this location if you’re staying anywhere on Hilton Head Island. It is less crowded than the one in Sea Pines and carries all the same things. It’s also great if you are not staying in Sea Pines– you can avoid the entrance fee.
2. Sea Pines– If you’re in the South Beach area it’s great to stop by their flagship store. But be warned — it’s crowded and hot.
3. Tanger 2– We stay in Bluffton so this location is ideal. I’m not a fan of outlets but we parked in the shade and went right into the Salty Dog shop. We went on a Monday and were the only people in the store. Check out the Bargain $ 5 and $ 10 T-​shirts in the back room.

This is the hidden location, worth the find. This store is far less crowed than South Beach. I stay inside Sea Pines and even prefer this store over South Beach.
This store has plenty of parking. It is clean and bright. Upon entering you may pass a parrot or two, and even a cat. Animals are the name of the game at the Salty Dog. Large pet selection at this store.
The famous Salty Dog T– Shirt comes in too many colors to name. There is a color of the week T-​Shirt each week at a lower price. The logo is now on everything from headwear to jackets. You can even find Salty Dog cups and kitchen items.
There has not been a single year in the past twenty five that we have not visited and bought multiple items. We cannot resist the Salty Dog. It is a symbol of the Island we love so much… HHI.

Love the T shirts, never get tired of them. Have been coming here for years and always make sure we get a new T shirt, whats really crazy I bought them for my son years ago and now I am buying them for his two darling girls, thats how much we love them.

LOVED this place. It was an adorable little shop where you could get everything and anything with the Salty Dog logo. The staff was SO freaking NICE. I would have given the place five stars but there were these squawking live parrots in the back in this little dsplay. They had their wings clips so they couldn’t fly.
That was kind of depressing.

Good place to get our Salty Dog gear if you don’t want to pay $ 5 to get into Sea Pines, or if you’re on a bike and rejected at the Sea Pines gate (see my review of the resort.)
They have most of the SD gear here. I say «most,» because there was a Red Dingo-​brand dog tag/​keychain I saw at Jake’s Cargo at the South Beach Marina location that I wanted but figured I could buy later at this location.
I called and left a message asking if they sold them, but didn’t hear back the next morning, so drove over. Disappointingly, they didn’t sell the keychain. So I mentioned it to the cashier, and she mentioned listening to my voice message (not sure why she didn’t call back) and promptly called to the other store to see if they could transport it. They did, and I got it the next day. Good customer service overall; just don’t expect all the stores to have the same stuff.

A much better place to buy any Salty Dog merchandise. Less crowded and you don’t have to pay five bucks to go to Sea Pines. The parrots outside are funny and loud (they catcall and whistle at women), but I’m always sad to see parrots with their wings clipped so they cannot fly. The staff was about as knowledgeable about the island attractions other than Salty Dog as a hamster is qualified to operate heavy machinery. The elevator just didn’t go that high. But if you need Salty Dog merchandise, they can ring you up.

I’ve never eaten at the Café, but I didn’t see the allure of the T-​shirt factory. (Apologies to Ashton) It was just a bunch of T-​shirts and other casual wear, all sporting the Salty Dog logo. On the other hand, I did enjoy the free human treats at the cash register. (Candy Bars)
The parrots out front are extremely territorial and mean. The red one threatened me verbally.
