Delicious! Free toppings even! The store is fun for the kids too — Lego displays, fish tank, photo cut out board. Super fun!

My 9 year old son says get the mint Oreo. If you are not interested in mint, like me, the hot fudge sundae is quite good. But if you plan to get the hot fudge sundae, bring your appetite, because you will get 3 scoops of ice cream, plenty of hot fudge and whole pecans with the whipped cream and cherries. It was quite filling. Everyone who had ice cream thought it was terrific. The price might take your breath away, but if you have plenty of money, you will enjoy the food.

Came here for the first time and it was great. When we came back, not so much. I have medical needs which do not allow me to have regular soda without going into shock. So I asked for a diet float and they said they didn’t have any but regular. I was just trying to switch it up. This is the 6th day here and the 6th day coming to the ice cream company. I was just disappointed. Love the rest of the store.

Their ice cream was absolutely delicious — everyone with me agreed that it was exceptional. The texture is very creamy and delicate, even before it started melting in the sweltering heat. I got the mint oreo and thought it was wonderful. Even a small cup is a pretty hefty portion, so if you are already full from dinner I would recommend the tiny. Would definitely return if I was ever in the area again!

Fantastic, fresh made ice cream! Decently priced,$ 6 for a waffle cone! Small place though so if you have a big party you’ll need to eat outside or in the parking lot. They have about 20 flavored and a free toppings bar with sprinkles, gummies, candies, etc. It’s a must!

«Without ice cream, there would be darkness and chaos.» — Don Kardong Most ice cream shops in tourist towns are simply tapping into a niche retail market that exists when people wanna spend extra money on vacations for treats they don’t normally enjoy. Nothin wrong with enjoying ice cream or froyo on a summer night at the beach — I get it. But if you’re the type that wants to be blown away by your sweet vacation indulgences, then you really oughta ride over to HH Ice Cream Co. This will expose a quality difference to you that’s on the level of canned vs. homemade biscuits. I’m talking about fresh-made, in-house, custom-created ice creams that are exploding with flavorful richness. This is light years beyond a half gallon carton of store-brand rocky road, folks. We sampled a LOT of these varieties and were really impressed with the actual presence and forwardness of the flavors. Like an actually strong espresso flavor, which almost nobody can master, and plenty of fudgy, chocolatey variants. We ended up ordering a pint of the brownie cheesecake — I can confidently state that this was the best tasting ice cream flavor I have ever had. Another reviewer made comments about prohibitive prices: are you not paying a «prohibitive» price to vacation on HHI? Why not get 2 pints for $ 8 each and STUFF your family of 4 instead of complaining about the cost of cones? A pint is a LOT of ice cream for 2 people, so $ 4 a person isn’t really breaking the bank, imo. In a sea of frozen mediocrity, go to HH Ice Cream and find real treasure. Mmmmm…

Ice cream and shakes were great, but the prices are a bit prohibitive. A family of four will go broke getting cones for everyone.

A must-stop on HHI! All seasons! Worth the wait. Delicious. Family friendly. Will graciously adapt to your special orders, too(like extra pecans, cherries, no whipped cream, etc). They have a toppings bar for sprinkles, gummy bears, choc chips, choc syrup, etc.

We’ve been coming to Hilton Head for 18 years and have never gotten ice cream from here. Happened to see it while driving by and decided to give it a try. They let you try a sample of any of the flavors before you buy. My wife sampled 4 before making her selection. I joked that after sampling she’d be full and wouldn’t have to buy any. She got a cone and I got a medium sized cup. We both took advantage of the self service toppings bar. The ice cream was outstanding. Very creamy. Well worth the cost. I think we’ve found out new ice cream place in Hilton Head.

We made this a daily stop for our vacation! Our two young kids really enjoyed the free unlimited toppings that they could add themselves. It was smooth and locally made ice cream: he lemon custard and Oreo were a couple of our favorites: and the cinnamon was one of the most unique!

Five words: all you can eat toppings! The ice cream was tasty, but because it was silica a busy spot, it was super melty. The selection was great and the surroundings were worth the trip! Lots of fun toys and a centerpiece fish tank with about 10 «cleaner» fish from Finding Nemo. So fun!

Ice Cream– Not sure what the hype is about because the ice cream was only decent. I had the butterfinger ice cream and ordered a kids size and did not want to finish it because to me it just tasted like peanut butter and empty sugar calories. My dad had the mint chip oreo and he said it was not good at all. Décor– It looks kind of trendy inside but that does not really make up for the mediocre ice cream.

You have to come to Hilton Head Ice Cream! They have the BEST ice cream EVER! You are the best lover ever! Two of those phrases were uttered this past week and one was not. After hearing about this place for 5 straight days I decided to try it out. Pro-Tip: It doesn’t matter when you get here, it’s gonna be packed. Lucky for us it was maybe a 10 minute wait to the front. They have PLENTY of home made flavors and after persuing them all I went with The Turtle and she went with Mint Chocolate Chip. The real tip here is to get it in a bowl, best bang for your buck. I ordered a waffle cone and literally got less ice cream then she did. Makes no sense, plus I’m the one who can digest dairy without a problem! Definitely not the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life but it wouldn’t stop me from returning and making the smart move of getting a bowl. Your pocket book will thank me :)
