During a visit to Hilo (from Honolulu) last Summer, we found my great grandmothers gravesite for the first time at Homelani. The marker (having been made in 1940) was weather-​worn and barely readable.
We decided to purchase a new headstone, and worked with Family Service Counselor Maggie Ramos through the ordering process. Once the headstone was completed, Maggie coordinated with the yardmen in order to accommodate our plans to return to Hilo to witness the burial of the old marker and installation of the new one.
A very big mahalo also to workmen John Andrade and Waylan Silva.. .a professional crew for sure. We sincerely appreciate their kokua!
