What I didn’t realize about getting a new phone these days is that you basically have to lease your phone now for two years, and the additional fee is added to your regular bill. The contracts of old are no longer. I was waiting until my contract ended to get a new phone even though I kept getting texts to come in and upgrade. After about 6 weeks of waiting, it finally clicked that I should just go in and ask what the deals are. Upon entering, the space has been redone into open tech concept. Lots to look at and take in, the phone mainly in the back. Someone will check you in on a tablet, and then you’re free to peruse until someone is free to help you. I was only on my own for a minute or so until Raul came to help. I basically knew what I wanted, but he explained all the deals and how the payments worked. He was able to apply some previous discounts for me as well to save me a few more dollars– much appreciated! I feel like buying a phone now is like buying a car– the prices listed aren’t really what they will really be. On my visit, they also disappeared into the back a few times to find me the phone I wanted, only to tell me TWICE that the color options I wanted weren’t available. I feel like they should be more aware of product availability– but maybe this is a ploy to get you to pick out more stuff? In the end, Raul got me set up with a great new phone and accessories(many of which were no additional charge!), I was able to sell them my old phone(you don’t get as much as you used to) which was directly applied to my purchase price in the store(THANKYOU, Verizon, for not making me wait for a visa credit card in the mail!!), and apply another visa gift card toward the purchase before paying the final amount. They really try to sweeten it up for you with discounts and accessories, so you don’t feel so bad walking out. I’m really happy with my experience and will return for future purchases.

This is the most unprofessional staff that I have ever encountered at a store. After spending over $ 1000 on three new phones a little over two weeks ago, my mom and I went in to try and get my phone(which was faulty out of the box but I didn’t have time to replace while I was down at school with finals) replaced. The store manager(Adrian) refused to help us at all and make any sort of override for the 14 day return period even after we explained our situation, so my mom called corporate and had to get them to try override the system herself. Adrian actually laughed in our faces twice when we asked him for help. Extremely smug, unhelpful, and unprofessional.

So, I have never had the reason to write a bad review before until now! If you need help with a Verizon product DONOT visit this location! These are some of the most unprofessional rude sales people I have ever experienced in my life! After being lied to by one of their sales associates, I tried to reach out to their store manager who never bothered to call me back! Do not fall for these horrible sale tactics and unprofessional extremely rude sale staff!!! Mangers name is Adrianne!

Unfortunately in bringing a line over I was swindled into a contract with devices I did not need, but was told I «needed» them to bring my overall monthly line charge down since I was getting a «great deal with extra devices at a lower cost». Fortunately the national customer service representative on the phone was able to completely correct the situation and apologized profusely the way I was treated. I still will need to wait 2 billing cycles to see any credits which during holiday season is not ideal. Shame on you Hillside Verizon taking advantage of a Mother with 2 small children whom was obviously multi-tasking. I will not be returning to the store and others that recommended the location will not either. I hope it was worth the loyalty of a potential new customer and 4 current ones. Awful.

There are some really rude people here. Every time i go there the people are just unpleasant. Last time I went, I tried to upgrade my phone and they told me I couldn’t do it the way I wanted to and I was«misinformed.» That’s fine, but the fact that she didn’t offer me any other options is just bad business. They are also extremely rude over the phone. Don’t go here if you need help of any kind. Handle it elsewhere.

This store was so organized. Someone greeted us at the door to check us in. The person told us how long the wait was. Then, the rep who helped us was outstanding. We were finished in 15 minutes. Plus this store has been remodeled with amble seating while waiting. Stay away from Elmhurst store because the technical expertise is lacking and poor customer service on simple activity on tasks. Plus not much seating and I have a disabled foot. Friendly and competent service at this store!

If you like rude and pushy sales people, this is the place for you! I have tried this store multiple times and has such rude costumer service that I will not go back. My wanted a simple phone for my boyfriend and all they wanted to do was push me into buying a smartphone he would never use. When I told them flat out I wasn’t going to be buying a smart phone, they basically just stopped helping me. I ended up walking out and going to Costco for help and they were amazing.

I went in to this store with a broken phone desperate for a replacement(about the only reason anyone would need to visit one of these stores). I spoke with some turd named Zach who informed me it would be about 550 — 600 $ to replace my phone since I was still under contract. I told him that was too much and asked for other options. He told me I could add a line to my account and get a discounted device with a new contract. I declined because it was absurd. He then suggested I move my home phone service and buy another device to get the discount. Even more absurd tha844576 n the first suggestion. I then asked if I could get the device discount by adding on to my contract. He denied. Why not? I was a little skeptical as ATT had done that for me before. He has no other suggestions. Clearly didn’t want to help. Other co-workers stood around watching with nothing else to offer. Well, long story, short. I went online and was able to upgrade my device for 149.99 and a 50 dollar rebate with contract extension. Like I suggested to Zach. Not $ 600. Easy peasy. Did what I had to do from the comfort of my own home and didn’t have to listen to a sales pitch for over priced accessories. So, unless you need bad service, or over priced screen protectors or a blue tooth speaker, I suggest you go to and do what you need to do there. Much more helpful and so much easier.

I heard back from the manager on this review and while I haven’t yet taken him up on his offer to help me in the future, I had to upgrade my review to 4 stars just because it was nice they cared enough to reply. Thanks folks, I’ll up it again to 5 stars if you can fix my now triplicated contact list thanks to the last two phone upgrades!!!

I have been using this Verizon store for 5 years now and have never been disappointed. Verizon has amazing customer service and this store reflects that. I went here again the other day because my Droid X has been acting up and they replaced the phone with almost no questions asked(I was within one year of purchase). They make everything so easy. The sales guys are great too. Not too pushy and they are knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this location even if it’s a little out of your way.

Just walked out of this store after asking 3 different saless people if I could buy the charger in my hand. All put me off to help someone else.
