Ben is a Spaniard man that is an artisan. The store is a throwback to a bygone era where this profession was of value and shoes were not made in China. He has managed to help me elongate the life of many a pair of shoes and bring my favorite pairs back to life when I thought they were goners. He does everything from repair heels to dye shoes (even leather ones!) with precision and expertise.
The only caveat is that he goes to Spain for a month every summer. So I make sure that I get my boots to him while wearing sandals in time for me to have them ready for the fall.
