Ahhh may zing. my 1st time & won’t be my last. Gr8 selection, contemporary labels as well as more obscure lines/designers, $$ are decent, much better than tjmaxx /Marshall /century 21/fox’s, not as good as Gabe’s(formerly.Gabriel brothers) however GABE’S hasn’t any location in NJ, & they don’t sell **Defects/irregular ** items here like GABE’S does, so that fact added to the distance(4 hrs away to closest GABE’S) makes Barney“S a much better choice(for those not familiar w/GABE’S, as not in NJ, I would suggest checking it out if going to Western PA, VA, FL, TN, IL, KY, SC, GA, VA, WVA, LA if u. r a bargain hunter ESP if u love ANTHRO /FP /UO as they sell their closeouts at SUPERCUTRATE prices, I walked out with a garbage bag(literally they put my purchases in a garbage bag!!) for approx $ 150NOJOKE!!__) BUT this review is for BARNEYSBARGAINS which in its own rite is Pretty AHHHSOME. Staff at Barneys treated me better than Nordstrom. Attentive, friendly, extremely kind. and the Barneys staff was GENUINELY nice & not condescending nor patronizing like their Namesake higher end dept store staff tends to be(which BTW this store has no ties to the BARNEYSNY which is legendary & ahhh may zing IMO, just shares the first name which might confuse some folk. was the selection of name intentional?! Hmm something to mull over. Tons of pros but since I am impartial I will also reveal. the cons. Parking. Not so good, the 4 hrs I was in there I kept peeking out the paper covered window and door to ensure my car parked in Popeyes across the street was not in the process of being towed.(4 hours not that the store is huge, rather it is small & tightly packed however a TRU bargain hunter & check prices online b4 I purchase since prices here are good but not go crazy buy everything in site you can grab great, plus it took a few hours to go thru the tightly packed together stuff. For me that is a plus. A treasure hunt of sorts. It might be off putting to others, plus if you are OCD& don’t like people uncomfortably close this is not the store for you, it is small with little room to maneuver & you will have elbows in your sides, people brushing against you, in short plenty of physical contact which usually I. don’t like but even the customers were SOOOO friendly and forthcoming just like the staff & sorry and excuse Me/pardon me were accompanied by every elbow in the side, rump bump, leg brush that I. didn’t find myself having an anxiety attack(quite literally like I do during sample or warehouse sales or even on Macy’s super sales) and only open 3 days a wk although they have 2 other locations, which I am stoked to go to . Wow this is epic eagerly anticipating the season end clearance that employees & patrons of the store alike told me was second to none, all this praise on my 1st visit, sure that my 2nd etc will sunstantiate this praise Scores $ 39 for CURRENT rag & bone jeans, mother &AG jeans, $ 199 for Freebird Aztec southwestern ankle boots which retailed $ 495(I.had them on my wish list for over 2 yrs finally purchased at a great price! Which made my day/week/month) I left behind the IRO sweater that was $ 49(selling on ebay for $ 250) Because it was too small, however I can’t stop thinking about it so might go back, in short great store with wide variety, unique finds, but not the most visually pleasing, kinda looks like a dump from the outside, to be perfectly honest, but the old saying /cliché «don’t judge a book by its cover«couldn’t be more appropriate love love love

HIDDENTREASURE! It’s a small shop that sells high end clothing and shoes at severe discounts. It’s quirky. It has obtuse hours(open only Thursday through Sunday) and every week changes their target demographic(one week kids, one week women, one men, etc.) but totally worth the trip. Their shoe selection is large. They have fitting rooms in the back so you can try on the clothes. Get their early as the best selections will go quick. I live in town and it’s off the highway but the area is fine unlike mentioned in a previous review.

This store is one of Union County’s hidden treasures. Especially for moms. I, like every other mom love to dress my kids in the coolest and trendiest clothes. I, like so many other moms am constantly looking for ANY way to save my dolla dolla. Barney’s is a small store that sells high end threads and shoes at a fraction of what you would pay in actual«Barney’s». I have purchased dresses by Oililly, Petit Bateau, and Kate Mack for literally $ 10. For my son I have scored on «Johnny Rocket» tees for like 5.99, and RL Polo shirts for $ 10. Shoes, let’s talk about how fast kids go through shoes. When I get my kids new shoes I buy like 4 or 5 pairs at a time. $ 300 on kids shoes? I THINKNOT! Nike, Reebok, Stride Rite, Rachel and Zoe, Sperry… etc. Quality shoes current with the trends and buying them will feel rewarding. You will get that HA feeling. HA, I BEATTHEAVERAGECONSUMERANDDIDN’T SPEND A FORTUNEONLIKE4PAIRSOFSHOES feeling. Not that UGGGHHHH feeling. UGGGHHH I SPEND A FORTUNEONLIKE4PAIRSOFKIDSSHOESSS… When it comes to shoes and clothing for myself I have been lucky, but nowhere near as lucky as I have been when shopping for my kids. I got a really cute pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes for work there and paid $ 60. Also got a pair of Dani Black leopard print flats there for $ 19. Dani Black shoes are so comfy for work. They feel like sneakers. It is not in a great area and they do not have a parking lot. They stock the store once a week. You can look in the Star Ledger I believe on Wednesdays to see what kind of items will be available for sale the following Thurs-Sun. I am not positive on the days. I will call the store later and post an update if I am incorrect. They will say in the paper if it is women, kids, or men.

Interesting place to say the least! I was told by a couple people that I had to check this place out. It’s all brand new clothing, shoes, purses, socks, and fancy dresses! I am not too sure about the area it’s in. It seemed sketchy, I wouldn’t go there at night alone– as a woman. You can park at the Popeye’s across the street. That is what the women told me at the store. They had high end shoes for $ 10 and lots of unusual clothing. Sizes from 0 – 24. If you drove by, you wouldn’t think the store was actually open because the windows are all whited out. Worth a stop if you are in the area… :)
