Wagner Tire and Automotive

I am rating the tire portion of this business only. I have no dealings with the engine repair part. I have been taking both my cars to Wagner for about 8 years to have tires mounted and balanced. In that time I have had to cough up $ 870 to fix the damages Wagner has caused to my cars. First of all, they use air tools to save time. Even when I ask them not to. These same air tools have rounded off several lug nuts on on one of my cars and broken a wheel stud. The lug nuts are a dealer item and special order chrome covered. $ 120-​set. I brought a smooth running car with 1 year old tires to them to have them re-​balanced and rotated. I got a car back that shook violently. They bent 2 of the rims and lied about it!!! The wheels are no longer made, I had to order a new set of 4 for $ 750. Dishonest thieves!!! I am done with them. I am capable of doing anything mechanical to my cars including fully rebuilding engines but I do not have tire machines. I wish it could have worked out but I am not into being lied to.

I really like Wagner’s. They have done a lot of work on my car and are always helpful and can answer any questions you might have. Very fair and honest. I will definitely be coming back to get subsequent car work done!

I came in with a printout of a specific model Hankook tire I was looking for, knowing they were a dealer for them. Apparently, the person behind the counter was offended that I brought in a piece of paper from a national chain, because the interaction started not with «How can I help you», but «We don’t price match».
That’s fine, I don’t mind paying more to support a local business — but after taking one call during the course of me standing at the counter, he must have thought he was far too busy to deal with my request for how much it’d be to order them through Wagner and told me he’d call me back at a later date. If I happened to catch him at a bad time, I understand — we’ve all been there — but I wouldn’t have minded waiting on site for things to settle down.
I never went back for that order, or any subsequent tire orders for any of my vehicles.
