Did a through Inspection of a wet spot in my lawn and eliminated the water supply, sprinkler system, and drain pipe. It was a free inspection too! Very nice to work with, explained what he was doing very clearly.

PLEASERESEARCHTHEMBEFOREYOUUSETHEM, READTHEIRREVIEWSONVARIOUSWEBSITES. I filed a claim with AHS because my water heater broke. They charged me $ 1347 to «bring the new tank up to code». A month later the«new» tank spewed water and flooded the residence damaging the hardwood flooring that was just installed after the initial break. I called the Building Inspector who said the«up to code work» was not necessary. I called the owner, Ted to ask if we could work something out so I could recoup some of my costs regarding the unnecessary work and the damage to the new floors — Ted said«Have a nice day sir»

I am sure Unilocal will delete this one, but you can always google the company name and Cary NC to find my reviews other places. American Home Shield dispatched these guys to come replace a broken water heater. Once on site, the up selling started and ended with quote $ 1,400 over what AHS covered. All of the added stuff was to «comply with current code», but my town says as long as you are replacing with a similar unit with no major changes a permit/inspection is not needed. Dr. Drain also said they would have to remove the 18″ pedestal for new venting, which is a violation of code. So I felt a little confused and called another plumber for an estimate, and even with me covering the cost of the new water heater, the cost was less than additional items quoted from these guys. I have requested another plumber to be sent from AHS and will be filing complaints with BBB(which already shows a complaint from 2011 by AHS for a fraudulent water heater estimate), the plumbing contractors board and our Attorney General’s Office Consumer Complaint Division. Avoid these guys unless you like having your wallet drained for no reason.

I have nothing but good stuff to say about Dr. Drain, especially Ryan. We used Dr. Drain because we have an AHS home warranty. I submitted the AHS request at 9am, and Dr. Drain called me shortly after to schedule them coming out. Long story short, they had to make three trips to my house over a 2-business-day period. Ryan was very courteous, down-to-earth, and helpful with our clogged drain. He even taught me how to extend our cleanout so that it will appear above ground for future usage. Highly recommend these guys, if only because they are the only service company I’ve used in recent memory that always calls me back quickly.

We’ve used Dr. Drain on several occasions.(We have an old house that requires a lot of attention.) Ted is very professional, in my opinion. He’s quick to respond and very efficient. Most importantly, he’s honest: he’s told me when a repair isn’t worthwhile, and he’s explained how to do some small repairs on my own. I’m quite satisfied, and I’m a repeat customer.

We got taken by Dr. Drain. We had an appointment from 10−12pm and were at home the entire time. At 12pm I called them and they said I missed the appointment because the plumber knocked and nobody was home! They also said we forfeited our prepaid $ 60 appointment fee and would need to charge us again to reschedule. No way! It’s a shake down, and when I called the appointment coordinator was very rude.
