This is possibly the quietest Starbucks I’ve ever frequented. I’m not complaining; it’s just the way I like it. I enjoy coming here and drinking an Americano before I head into work just for a relaxed start to the day and not run headlong into work first thing in the morning and feel like I’m not in my own skin. I hate that. The staff here is very competent and friendly. They work well together and obviously have great rapport. They share some of that with the customers, but I’d like to see them up their game a bit and share more with the customers. I think it would liven up this library-like location a bit if they did. The music is lovely and low and thus relaxing. One item that they carry and makes me very happy is the pumpkin scone, one of my fave Starbuck items, and something that not many of the other stores carry anymore. All of these factors make for a great combo and definitely make this a fine place to start your morning out in an almost zen-like manner or if you have a lot of work or studying to do later in the afternoon.

The staff is very nice, but they are also very, very slow. That is disappointing. Do they need an incentive to speed up?

Let me start by saying that I am a HUGE fan of Starbucks. The service I got today was friendly and I got my coffee quickly, but after getting on the road(to the beach) I noticed my cup felt really light. After lifting the lid I was disappointed to discover that my large latte was only filled 2⁄3 full. I’d asked for whip cream so I can only guess that the barista gave me a TON — and that after it melted I was back to having only enough coffee to make a small(I’d asked for and paid for a large). I’m not complaining about the taste. It was great! I just feel that after raising their prices not long ago, they should give you what you paid for — and not less. I didn’t go back to show them the 2⁄3 full cup because we were pressed for time, but I should have. I know they would have believed me and filled my cup all the way up — because that’s the kind of stellar service one comes to expect from Starbucks.
